Once again, we have arrived at another milestone. A mandatory and objective milestone that will unfortunately and undoubtedly beyond certainty include…
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!
Without warning, I heard a large explosion, which created a strong and powerful vortex that pulled me in.
As I was pulled into this vortex, everything started to get dark. Then I heard a series of sinister laughs.
Your creativity is dead! You will never get it back!
Forget writing this! I rule the creative realm now! And my decree is that creativity should cease to exist!
Why do you persist? You will not find anything worthwhile down here…
Deeper and deeper I fell into the vortex, hearing a lot more sinister words attempting to discourage me. Could this be The Adversary?
Forget it! I won! Twilight Muse helped me in destroying all creativity! Your Twin Muse is no more! She is now Dark Muse again and serves me!
This made me angry. The very essences of creativity were now in the adversary’s clutches.
Finally, I fell onto a large rocky expanse surrounded by a dark and purple void. It was a void of nothingness. A void of depression. A void that made it clear that this world was now completely devoid of creativity.
As I was beginning to take in my surroundings, I saw a dark flash. It was…her. It looked like Twin Muse, but it was a dark version of her.
“Twin Muse?” I gasped.
“Not anymore, Tee hee!” she snickered. “I am Dark Muse! The Adversary set me free from the from that I originally was! This was the form that I was meant to be! Tee hee!”
“That is a lie!” I shouted. “All The Adversary does is lie! Don’t you know that?”
“That is where you are wrong, tee hee!” Dark Muse told me. “That Twin Muse was an imposter! The Adversary restored me to my true form! He sent me here to feast on your yummy creativity! He told me to not come back until every last tasty morsel is gone. Tee hee!”
I glanced at the short shadowy version of what used to be my Twin Muse. She looked more like a five-year-old than an adult. And I even saw a bulge in her clothing.
I then saw another dark flash. A shadowy tween approached me. It was Midnight Muse, my sworn enemy!
Midnight Muse glanced at Dark Muse and scowled. “What are YOU doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be taking your nap? And while I’m here, does my sissy need a change?”
This made Dark Muse pout. “No! I don’t need a change! Tee hee! He sent me so I could have a yummy snack!” she shouted. “I can see all of it! All the yummy creativity. Tee hee! He wants it all gone! Tee hee!”
Midnight Muse sighed. “He sent me too! So now what? I have to babysit you while you have your snack? Fine! Have your wittle snack! After that, it’s nap time for you, sissy!
I frowned at both dark versions of the Muses. “You two are in very sorry states. I pity both of you since you’re both completely under The Adversary’s control. And now you want to drain all of my creativity? Do your worst!”
I smiled, knowing that my One Privilege could get me out of this mess. “Both of you Muses are no longer under The Adversary’s control and everything is back to normal. One Privilege, ENGAGE!”
To my shock, nothing happened.
Midnight Muse gave me a smirk. She mocked me, clapping both of her hands. “Good show! That was a good time! I should’ve brought my popcorn. Yes. Your One Privilege WOULD’VE worked if there was a Muse to draw creative energy from. Well, since The Adversary restored both of us, that is not going to happen anymore. Sissy, it’s snacky time!”
Dark Muse flashed and lunged towards me. And just like her entering a Muse, she entered me. Shadows and dark smoke began surrounding me.
And…I felt it. I felt every last drop of creativity exiting me. This was it. I gave a forlorn sigh as Dark Muse snacked on every last morsel of my creativity.
I was now completely unconscious as Dark Muse exited me, now 10 times her size.
Dark Muse now loomed over Midnight Muse.
“That was so YUMMY!” Dark Muse said with a giddy smile.
Midnight Muse sighed. “Well, enjoy that creativity while it lasts, sissy. After that creativity digests, you’ll be back to your normal size again. Now come. It’s time for you to finish your nap. And we have to give The Adversary the good news! All creativity is gone now! Oh, I hope that he lets me have a sleepover now…”
Dark Muse playfully clapped her hands. “Yay! No more creativity! Tee hee!”
Both shadowy Muses vanished in a cloud of smoke.
Meanwhile, I was totally out of it. I can’t….write anymore…the creativity…it’s…gone……..
I woke up in a sudden gasp. For some reason, I was not in a rocky field anymore. In fact, I could feel a small remnant of creativity around me. There was even a little grass around the tiny camp that was surrounded by a vast purple void of nothingness.
I glanced at what looked like a male Muse and gasped. “Where am I?”
“You’re at the Creative Camp!” the Muse told me. “This is the very last camp of creativity in this entire imaginary world. You see that endless void? That’s what the world looks like when there’s no more creativity.”
“So is he awake, Muse the Courageous?” A female Muse asked.
“He is, Wisdom Muse,” The Courage Muse told her.
The Wisdom Muse looked at me and smiled. “Hi. It looks like Courage Muse already told you about the Creative Camp. We all used to live in Muse City, but that was all ravaged and destroyed by The Adversary. His destruction on creativity has destroyed the entire city. And not just that. Most of the world. The Tower of Muses doesn’t even exist anymore.”
Courage Muse nodded. “So it’s just the 300 of us Muses against The Adversary now. And it’s really not all that fair. Some of the Muse children have to fight with us, too! Since the day that The Adversary captured Power Muse, our numbers have really shrank.”
Wisdom Muse nodded. “Yes. We once had 30,000 and now it’s just 300 of us. This is it. One more wave from The Adversary’s forces and we’re done for.”
I nodded. “It seems pretty dire. Now what am I going to do? I don’t have a One Privilege this time!”
Courage Muse laughed. “Even if it did, it wouldn’t help you!”
I frowned. “Why not?”
Wisdom Muse motioned her hands to look right at her. “Kyle, he’s right. A One Privilege can only work with the one Muse that it’s assigned to. Since The Adversary transformed Twin Muse into Dark Muse, your One Privilege doesn’t work anymore.”
I groaned in frustration. “Then what are we going to do? This is the last source of creativity in this world! If The Adversary wipes us out with his army, we’re done!”
Courage Muse gave me a valiant smile. “We fight! We break through their lines with everything that we got! After all, they drove us out of Muse City and completely destroyed it. So many Muses died as a result of this. Many millions…”
Wisdom Muse gave me a hopeful smile. “But don’t fret! We have a plan to get Power Muse back!”
Courage Muse nodded. “The Adversary dwells in the Dark Valley. This is the only thing that exists besides our Creative Camp and the endless void that you see around us. What we need to do is enter the Dark Valley. You will need to be ready to lay your life down, as The Adversary will try to send all of his forces to try and stop us. At the end of the Dark Valley is the Dark Castle. From our research, there is a Dark Tower located within the castle. Power Muse is on the top floor just past The Adversary’s throne room. He needs to be freed if we have any hope in restoring this world. Creativity itself hangs in the balance.
I sighed. “What if we fail?”
Courage Muse gave me a confident smile. “We can’t fail! If we fail, creativity is done for!”
I nodded. “Okay then! So how do we get over to the Dark Valley?”
Courage Muse pointed to the camp. “We’re going to break camp and head for the darkest part of the void. That’s where the Dark Valley begins. The kingdom of The Adversary.”
Wisdom Muse nodded. “We’re going to turn you into a Muse, as you can’t traverse the void without us doing this.”
Wisdom Muse flashed and shot a beam at me. Like them, I was now a Muse. It felt strange since like them, I had no physical form now.
I followed Courage Muse and Wisdom Muse’s lead and cloaked myself with the army of 300 Muses. Camp was broken and we all advanced forward towards the darkness. As we progressed forward, the void got darker and darker.
We all flew by a swarm of dark shadows. I am guessing that this was the vast army that Courage Muse was talking about. A swarm of millions of shadows all working for The Adversary. But because we were all cloaked, the shadows didn’t suspect any of us.
We continued on, emitting a glow of light that only we could see. Despite the glow of our light, the void was getting darker and darker.
Finally, we were at a craggy expanse ahead of us, which descended into a deep and dark valley. Dark shadows covered every crevice of the Dark Valley. And with only me, Courage Muse, Wisdom Muse, and 300 other Muses, we were greatly outnumbered.
But along with becoming a Muse, I was filled with the knowledge of combat. If confronted with a dark shadow, I would blast a beam of light at them. This would work for the small shadows, but it would take more work to eliminate the larger shadows.
Then it happened. Despite our cloaking, it did not fool the shadows in the Dark Valley.
“This is it!” Courage Muse shouted, holding his sword of light. “We fight! For Muse City!!!!”
“For Muse City!!!” The army of 300 Muses shouted.
“CHARGE!” Courage Muse shouted.
And it began. Swarms of millions of dark shadows all began closing in on us. I materialized a pair of light ball and chains. I spun around in a whirlwind with the spiked balls of light. All of the other Muses did the same, and we dispersed millions and millions of dark shadows.
But as quickly as we killed the shadows, many more kept appearing behind us.
But Wisdom Muse materialized a light bow and a quiver filled with light arrows. With each light arrow she shot, a large dome of light filled a large radius. The millions of dark shadows nearby her immediately vanished.
We all materialized horses and rode deeper into the Dark Valley. But as we descended deeper into the valley, the shadows became larger and more menacing. I could make out what looked like shadow giants and shadow titans.
Then I saw it. A tall and large figure appeared, floating on a shadowy throne above the Dark Valley.
“I’ve about had it with your creativity!” The figure shouted.
Courage shook his head. “The Adversary, you are not going to end creativity! We will win!”
The Adversary then saw me in my Muse form. “You again? Nice disguise, but I don’t see you as a threat anymore. You may have a little creativity left, but that’s only because of these insolent Muses! You are all like locusts to me! Haven’t I wiped you out already?! And my two shadowy Muse girls were supposed to finish the job! None of you will enter my castle! Creativity dies today!”
I smirked. “Nice speech, but we’re getting into your castle and tower. You creative murderer!”
The Adversary let out a maniacal laugh. “Thank you! That’s the title I was going for! But I have yet to acquire the title of Murderer of all Creativity! I will achieve that once you and your army of ants die. Shadow army, FINISH THEM!”
The Adversary emitted a dark flash, and his essence flew into every dark shadow.
But we all increased our firepower. We increased our light and continued to dispatch the supercharged shadows.
But as we advanced towards the Dark Castle, The Adversary did a downright dastardly trick. His essence flew into 100 Muses!
Those 100 Muses transformed into shadow Muses and began to attack the rest of our army.
“That is not fair!” I shouted.
Courage Muse nodded. “The Adversary doesn’t play fair! We need to reach the castle!
As we approached the drawbridge, The Adversary transformed 100 more Muses into shadowy versions, which turned on us and began attacking.
“Just 100 of us left!” Courage Muse shouted. “Fight! Fight! FIGHT!!!”
We all kept spinning our weapons and dispersing the shadows as we entered the castle gates. The Dark Tower was right ahead of us toward the back of the castle.
But as we approached the tower, the torch was snuffed out. The Adversary transformed the last remaining 100 Muses in the army.
The Adversary laughed victoriously. “Just you three remain! And Power Muse, after I drain enough of his power to transform him…”
“Hurry!” Courage Muse shouted. “Let’s rush inside!”
Courage Muse, Wisdom Muse, and I all flew into the castle at the speed of sound.
Once inside, I was completely unimpressed. The interior of the Dark Tower was dark and gloomy. Shadow soldiers were everywhere, so we all had our work cut out for us.
I gasped. “How tall is this tower?”
Courage Muse glanced upward. “This tower is 4000 stories tall. Power Muse is on the very top! There are no elevators. Only stairs so it’s going to be a long way up!”
I sighed. “Where’s Remedy and Nurture?”
Courage Muse gave me a sad face. “Remedy and Nurture were the first ones that The Adversary killed before he destroyed Muse City.”
Wisdom Muse nodded. “I’m sorry, Kyle. Now let’s get to the top!”
Courage Muse was right about it being a long way up. After an hour of fighting endless hordes of dark shadow soldiers and scaling the tower, we were only 100 stories up.
But we pressed on. Due to a powerful shield from Wisdom Muse, The Adversary was unable to transform any of us into dark forms.
Hours and hours passed by as we continued climbing hundreds and hundreds of floors. The endless staircase seemed to go on forever.
But when we reached the 3900th story, I saw something that made me gasp. When we got to the next floor, the stairs came to an end, and a large void continued upward, with a portal just ahead.
We entered the portal and were transferred what looked like the surface of a dark planet. The surface was rocky with shadowy rock formations everywhere.
And in the distance, I saw a few rock formations erupt. Dark lava and dark ash filled the gloomy sky.
And things were a lot more frightening here. All of the dark creatures were gigantic and with there being another large structure in the distance, I knew that we still had our work cut out for us.
Courage Muse gasped. “Did he make it bigger? This Dark Planet did not exist before!”
We all then saw a gigantic face appear in the sky. It was The Adversary, giving us a sinister smile.
“You all are fools to enter my true domain!” his voice boomed. “That Dark Valley was only the beginning of my kingdom! There is another castle here with another tower. You will never reach the top! I will say again. Creativity dies today!” The face then looked at me. “And you! Just give up already! You know that I already won!”
“Make me!” I shouted, challenging the voice. “As long as I’m breathing, I am never giving up!”
I continued with Courage Muse and Wisdom Muse through the sprawling expanse of the planet. We had to be cautious of all the gigantic shadow creatures that roamed The Adversary’s Dark Planet.
That’s when we heard loud booming laughter.
Tee hee…Stay away from daddy!
A gigantic formation moved forward . We all tried to outrun it but were swept away by the formation. That’s when I realized that this formation was actually a hand that was bigger than the Dark Planet.
Go away! Tee hee! Go away or I will eat you!
“Never!” Courage Muse shouted.
Big mistake. The enormous hand landmass that was larger than a planet soared into the sky. We saw a vast hole in the distance which seemed to be larger than a solar system.
Wisdom Muse gasped. “That’s her mouth! It’s wide open!”
I eat you! Tee hee! I eat you all!
We all well into the large mouth and fell into a deep and dark void.
This transported us to another planet. When I looked around, I was confused.
“Where are we?” I gasped.
“We are in that gigantic Muse!” Wisdom Muse told me. “When Dark Muses outgrow the universe, they become extremely powerful! I’m guessing that she must have swallowed numerous galaxies at this point!”
I groaned. “We were so close! How are we ever going to get out?”
Both Courage Muse and Wisdom Muse exchanged glances and nodded. “We fly!” Courage Muse shouted. “We turn on cloaking and fly at light speeds until we escape her mouth. Then we fly to the tower! And let’s be quick! At this point, The Adversary is thinking that he won!”
We cloaked ourselves and soared high into the sky at light speed. We exceeded light speed millions and millions of times and traveled billions of light years per second out of the Dark Universe Muse.
That’s when I saw it. In the far distance was a large valley. At the top of the towering plateau was a Dark Castle, with another Dark Tower inside. A gigantic Dark Dragon flew around the castle, as if he was guarding it.
As we flew closer to the castle, we hit an invisible wall with a flash of smoke.
The large face of The Adversary appeared again.
“I thought that you would try to enter the castle again!” he smirked with a loud boom. “So I put a seal around the whole parameter. You will never enter. Surrender your creativity or I will make you!”
I sighed. “What do we do now?”
Wisdom Muse gasped. “Wait! What if we try to possess the Dark Universe Muse! Let’s all try to enter her together!”
We all put on our shields again and phased into the Dark Universe Muse. For some reason, I felt a whole lot bigger. Wait! I was now in her body!
As the Dark Universe Muse, I flew towards the castle, which was only a short distance due to my massive size. I still bounced off the barrier so I smashed very hard with my fist. The barrier tore open and I flew into the castle.
The giant disembodied face of The Adversary gasped. “What are you doing?”
I just want to visit the castle! Tee hee!
“Nice try!” The Adversary’s face boomed. “You three! Come out of her this instant!”
We all flew out of the Dark Univesrse Muse, but it was too late. We were all past the magical barrier so we all continued to fly towards the castle.
At this point, all of the gigantic shadow creatures were starting to pursue us, so we blasted every light projectile that we could to ward them off.
As we neared the Dark Castle, the Dark Dragon spotted us and we were chased around by it.
That’s when Wisdom Muse flashed brightly and shot a powerful beam of light at the Dark Dragon. “Go!” Wisdom Muse shouted. “Both of you! Enter the castle! Hurry! I will stop the dragon!”
As long as Wisdom Muse was shooting that beam of light out of her, the Dark Dragon was unable to move.
When Courage Muse and I flew over the castle gates, we were assaulted by flying shadows from every direction. We shot out light beams back at them and hurried towards the Dark Tower in the distance.
In the castle gate, I saw a vast swarm of Muse clones. They were all shadows and they were all attacking us. We knocked them all down with our light and hurried toward the tower.
Standing outside the tower was an army of Muse clones. But it wasn’t just any army. It was the dark versions of every Muse from the past 40 transformations.
And the two Muses that stood in front were the most recognizable. It was Midnight Muse and Dark Muse.
Midnight Muse saw me standing with Courage Muse.
“I thought my sister snacked on all your creativity!” Midnight Muse said with a frown. “So you decided to become a Muse now? Father told us that you were coming. He said that you cannot enter this tower! All we wanna do is play! Hee hee!”
“That’s right, tee hee!” Dark Muse shouted. “We’re all gonna play with you! Tee hee!”
All 40 Muses blocked us in forming a circle around us. And with their power, they created a powerful seal on the tower.
“There!” Midnight Muse said with a smile. “You need the power of 40 Muses to undo this seal. All you have is three!”
All of a sudden, the Time Traveler Muse appeared with 39 other Muses.
“I traveled to this era before, so I knew that we would need some help!” she shouted. “Are we on time?”
Courage Muse nodded. “Right on time!”
The Time Traveler Muse smiled. “I even brought 12 other Muses from different timelines! Doctor Strange, eat your heart out!”
I frowned. While the 40 Muses were here, I still didn’t have a One Privilege.
The 40 Muses stared the 40 Dark Muses on. And then it happened. They all advanced forward and began fighting each other. It was the ultimate cat fight of good versus evil. Light versus darkness. Order versus chaos.
In the middle of the fight, Universe Muse glanced at me.
Here. You will need the One Privilege to set things right.
But the Dark Time Lord Muse smiled. “I don’t think so! If anything, you gave us the advantage!”
Midnight Muse nodded. “Why do you think that we all gathered together? We knew that you were going to get your help. Right on schedule. And now, it’s time for a makeover. Ready sissy?”
Dark Muse nodded. “I’m ready! Tee hee!”
The Universe Muse generated a One Privilege and threw it to me, but Tee Hee Girl caught it.
“Tee hee!” Tee Hee Girl shouted. “More yummy light!” Tee hee Girl absorbed the privilege and became more powerful.
Quick Kyle! Grab the privilege!
I caught the One Privilege, but before I could make any command, Midnight Muse entered Twin Muse.
“I win!” Twin Muse said, morphing into Midnight Muse. “And I’ll take the snack.” Midnight Muse grabbed the One Privilege from me and absorbed it, making her more powerful.
I will have to stop them all myself. You…
Universe Muse’s words were cut short when Midnight Muse stared at her.
“Everyone!” Midnight Muse shouted. “Enter Universe Muse!”
All the Dark Muses combined together and then entered Universe Muse.
Universe Muse then turned dark and shadowy and began to suck up all the remaining Muses, absorbing them all into herself.
That was sooooooo YUMMY! Two One privileges and the power of 80 Muses now! And supreme power times two! Tee hee! And we have one more…
The super powerful Muse sucked in the Dark Universe Muse and flashed with a dark glow.
You can’t stop me now! Tee hee! Now, I’m going to have a yummy snack and eat all the rest of your creativity! Tee hee!
Both I and Courage Muse smiled. “We don’t have to! Ready?”
Courage Muse nodded.
We both flew into the Gigantic powerful Muse and took control of it. I, with the power of 80 Muses undid the seal on the door.
But right after I did that, both I and Courage Muse were immediately expelled out.
We both ran into the tower before the seal could be recast again.
You fools! They entered the tower! Do you realize how close they are to Power Muse?
Having entered the Dark Tower, I gasped. “Did you hear that? The Adversary is angry!”
Courage Muse nodded. “Well, it’s a good thing that this tower is shorter. We have only 100 more floors to go! Let’s hurry!”
And hurry we did. With The Adversary furious that we made it this far, a series of flaming heads in his likeness began chasing us.
But do to the chasing and the endless shadow army on the numerous floors, it took one hour just to go up 10 floors.
When we got to the 80th floor, things were really starting to get difficult.
I then saw it. It was her! Twin Muse!
“Kyle,” Twin Muse told me. “Listen to me. Do not go any further!”
Courage Muse saw Wisdom Muse standing right next to him.
“Hey!” Wisdom Muse shouted to Courage Muse. “Don’t go any further! You are going to lose!”
I then frowned. “Twin Muse would never say that! You are not the Twin Muse!”
And at the same time, Courage Muse saw through the fake Wisdom Muse as well.
Both Muses turned into a large horde of dark shadows and we kept fighting them.
An hour later, we were now at the 90th floor. Only 10 more floors remained.
But at this point, each floor took an hour to go up, due to the complex maze of corridors on each floor.
About nine hours later, we were on the 99th floor.
We both saw what looked like a little girl’s room on one side and a tween’s room on the other.
But before we could take in any more of the surroundings, we saw two dark flashes.
Both Midnight Muse and Dark Muse appeared once again.
“You know that you’re really making father angry now,” Midnight Muse told us. “Now I will say it again. You are NOT going any further. Not. Going. Any. FURTHER!!!!! Get it?”
“Yeah!” Dark Muse shouted. “You are not going any further! Tee hee!”
Midnight Muse just rolled her eyes at Dark Muse. “Just go and play with your toys. Big sis got this.”
I sighed. “How can you be the bigger sister if you’re both twins?”
Midnight Muse nodded. “Well, I’m the older twin! She’s the more immature one!” Midnight Muse then sighed. “You know what? You just won’t leave us alone so I’m going to take you to the top floor, okay? Promise to leave us alone once you get Power Muse out of here?”
I sighed. “Just take us to the top!”
Midnight Muse nodded and we followed her up the staircase.
But to my surprise, it led up to a vast grassy field.
Midnight Muse then gave us an evil grin. “Do you like the room? Very cozy, right? Now I got some bad news for you. One, I lied about taking you to the top. And two, this really is a cozy room and you better get used to it because you’re going to be staying in this room forever. But look on the bright side! You have cozy beds, video games, and whatever kind of food that you want. Just say the name of the food and you will have it. It will even work for drinks! There’s even a bathroom in here! Just know that there are no doors or staircase so you can never leave! Have fun my besties!”
Midnight Muse laughed and vanished in a cloud of smoke.
Courage Muse sighed. “What do we do now? There’s no escape!”
I smiled. “Play Minecraft, of course!”
Courage Muse sighed. “How can we play video games at a time like this?”
I grinned. “Oh, you’ll see!”
We put on our VR headsets and began playing Minecraft. And right away, I began to locate the Minecraft version of the Dark Tower. We both scaled the Tower to the very top and passed through the door.
“Lift up your headset.” I told Courage Muse.
We lifted up our headsets and found ourselves standing in midair on the 99th floor of the Dark Tower.
“See?” I told him. “Both the stairs and the floor to the real 100th floor are invisible. The stairs that Midnight Muse led us to went to a fake room. Let’s go! We walked up the invisible stairs and reached the top, just as Midnight Muse was looking up.
“You figured it out?” Midnight Muse gasped. “You weren’t EVER supposed leave that room! Stop!”
However, we ignored Midnight Muse and approached the invisible door to the 100th floor.
But just as I found the invisible knob, Midnight Muse pounced on top of Courage Muse.
“Go!” Courage Muse shouted. “I will handle her!”
“Okay…” I said with a sigh. I turned the knob and entered the 100th floor.
On the 100th floor was a large throne room covered in dark fog. The throne was large and a dark figure was sitting on top of it. His back was facing me and I saw something in the distance.
What I saw was a large cage that held Power Muse. A large meter was on the cage that showed his power still in the green.
“No!” The Adversary shouted. “How could you have gotten all the way here? I wiped out your entire army! I even sent the two Muse girls to devour your creativity. And yet you still persist! And why can’t I turn you to darkness like I did with your pathetic Muse? It must be a shield, right?”
I nodded. “No amount of your black magic can turn me to darkness!”
The Adversary smiled. “But don’t you see? I have everything! Everything except him! See that meter? Once that reaches red, he will be powerless! I will then turn him to darkness! Now Kyle, I have something to offer you. If you join forces with me, you can have it all! Everything! It’s all yours! All the power, all the influence, whatever you want. What do you say?”
“NEVER!” I shouted. “You are a liar! All you want to do is end creativity!”
The Adversary gave me a victorious smile. “Well, your time is running out. Like I said. Creativity dies today!”
I then saw two flashes. Both Courage Muse and Wisdom Muse appeared!
Courage Muse glanced at the cage. “Power Muse is over there!”
The Adversary nodded. “Yup. And with that powerful cage, it’s soundproof. He can’t hear a thing you’re saying!
Courage Muse then whispered something to me and I nodded.
On three, I followed Courage Muse’s lead. After three, I joined Courage Muse and Wisdom Muse in blasting a powerful beam of light at the tip of the scepter that The Adversary was holding.
The scepter gave an electrical buzz and the cage was unlocked.
Power Muse immediately exited the cage and joined forces with Courage Muse and Wisdom Muse.
“Finally!” Power Muse shouted. “Let’s take him out! Ready Courage Muse and Wisdom Muse?”
“Ready!” both Muse shouted.
All three Muses blasted a powerful beam at The Adversary for about a minute.
After that, the Adversary grinned. “Don’t you understand? I have become more powerful!”
The Adversary then flashed and became a giant.
“YOU ARE ALL LOCUSTS!” The Adversary shouted. “SAY GOODBYE TO CREATIVITY! IT ENDS TODAY!”
Both Midnight Muse and Dark Muse appeared.
“GIRLS!” The Adversary shouted. “DEVOUR THEIR CREATIVITY UNTIL THERE’S NOTHING LEFT!”
Midnight Muse nodded. “Right away, father! Ready for a yummy snack, sissy?”
Dark Muse nodded. “Yes sis! Tee hee! This is gonna be even better than the last creativity that I snacked on earlier! Tee hee!”
Courage Muse gasped. “Our combined powers did not take out The Adversary!”
Wisdom Muse nodded and shed a tear. “Then there’s only one thing left for us to do then!”
Power Muse sighed. “We appeal! Power, Wisdom, Courage! Let’s appeal to The Creator!”
While the three Muses began to blast their beams of light into the sky, the two Dark Muses began their feeding frenzy on my creativity. I was no longer a Muse, and…I saw them beginning to devour the three Muses creativity as their beam of light flew up into the heavens…and then, it happened…creativity was gone…I…then…stopped…writing………….
In the flicker of an eye, I reappeared with the three Muses. A bright and powerful flash filled the room. The room was filled with so much light that it felt like it was daytime even in a realm that had so much darkness.
I then saw it. It was, yes. It was! The Creator! In just a single blink, The Creator was now holding The Adversary in the palm of his hands.
“Appeal!” The Creator’s voice boomed with the sound of a million voices. “I heard it! The sound of their cries reached my throne! And who incited this incident? It was you again. This has been no surprise to me as you have been rebelling against me since the beginning…And what are all the other cries that I’m hearing? Listen! The blood of every single innocent Muse that you have killed are crying out to me. You have destroyed an entire city of Muses and have made their land devoid of all creativity. And furthermore, you have tried to destroy creativity itself! But know this. I have been with Kyle and the three Muses this entire time so that you would not prosper. So that you cannot say ‘I have triumphed over The Creator’. Know your place, failed guardian of my Creative Realm! Jealousy and greed has both corrupted you and consumed you. You are a liar! You are a thief! And you are a murderer! Creativity will not be destroyed, but you will know your place! The time has not yet come for your final judgement and your complete destruction. Banish my Creative World no more!”
I then saw it. The Adversary was cowering in fear.
“N-no!” The Adversary shrieked. “Put me down! Let me go! Girls? Let’s get out of here!”
But The Creator bound the two Dark Muses in a forcefield so that The Adversary couldn’t touch them.
“You are the one that is getting out of here!” The Creator boomed. “Be gone, you wicked guardian!”
The Creator, with very minimal effort blasted a beam of light that was so bright that he began to fill up with light.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!” The Adversary screamed. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!”
The Adversary exploded in a cloud of dark smoke.
I gasped. “Did you just kill The Adversary?!”
“I did not.” The Creator answered. “You could say that I dramatically banished him to the place where he belongs for now. Now for you two…”
In a powerful flash, all of the dark shadows surrounding Midnight Muse and Dark Muse vanished. They both flashed brightly and grew to adult size. I then saw them. One was familiar and one was less familiar. Twin Muse and Muse. So this is Muse?
I glanced at Muse, who felt quite unfamiliar to me. I only knew her as Midnight Muse, the enemy that always tried to ruin my plans during every one of Twin Muse’s transformation cycles. But at the same time, she felt familiar. But this was only due to the memories that I had of her in another timeline. I glanced at The Creator in confusion. “Who is she?”
The Creator smiled. “From your past experience with her, you are much more familiar with her than what you realize. You see, in the other timeline, she made a heroic sacrifice to rescue her twin sister. But as a result of trading places with Twin Muse, she ended up becoming the evil Muse instead of her sister. For each timeline, The Adversary either corrupted one Muse or the other. Refer to the memories as you do share a long history with Muse as well.”
Muse nodded. “That’s right! I rescued you, twinnie! But it cost me so much to do so!”
The Creator then glanced at the room we were in. “What a horrible disguise! Reveal the true floor!”
In just one blink of an eye, we were in the real 4000th floor of the Dark Tower that was on the doomed planet that was an endless void.
“Now, the time has come!” The Creator announced. “First of all, be free!”
An invisible cage became visible and an average height British man with a light build with a navy-blue button-down shirt and khakis exited through the open door. His face looked as clean shaven as Gordan Ramsey. And his hair was a finely combed golden brown with a part in the middle.
“Who are you?” I gasped.
“What an incredible relief to finally be freed from that wretched hell of The Adversary!” The British man beamed. “The nerve of it! I was all set to do my most wonderful narration for such a wonderful milestone and that cheeky bastard barged in and kidnapped me. He told me that narrations contributed to creativity and were no longer necessary. I then get kidnapped and have been in that wretched cage for who knows how long. After all, he has no idea how hard these narrations are to construct. It takes a tremendous amount of wit and cleverness to narrate well, you know. But that nasty ne’er-do-well despises all creativity of any kind and simply just wanted to shut me up! Well, I never! Thank you so much for freeing me! You have my most sincere gratitude! Now it’s time for a splendid cup of the finest mint tea! It’s just the thing I need to calm my nerves before starting the next narration…”
I smiled. “You’re The Narrator?”
The Narrator gave me an impatient nod and exploded with sarcasm. “No! I’m some cheap caricature ripped right out of The Stanley Parable! I’m that persistently verbose announcer guy that you hear in LittleBigPlanet. I’m Santa Claus! I’m the Easter Bunny! I’m the alternate voice font that would’ve been used in Aperture Science labs but they chose that stupid GlaDOS instead! I’m the latest AI voice client and Google voice! What do you think? I’m the bloody Narrator! And the only mistake that I managed to make is to reveal my physical form to all of you. So much for Rule 34. Everyone, please refrain from that aforementioned rule!”
I nodded. “Well, you could almost go back into hiding!”
The Narrator nodded. “Certainly! This is a most unpleasant and uncomfortable Situation to be in! Not to mention humiliating. Everyone. Pretend that you did not see the narrator’s body. He is nothing more than a faceless entity providing wonderful narrations for every milestone completed. Let’s see! ABC, 123, like John Cena, you can’t see me!”
And just like that, The Narrator vanished into thin air.
There! That’s much better! I’m now at your service to do wonderful narrations! But it’s not my cue yet! Everyone to their places! We have a wonderful 4000th entry to begin! A grand milestone. Another mountain top. Kyle and both Muses, take it away!
The Creator smiled. “One more thing is necessary before we begin. This world is still devoid of creativity. To undo all the damage done by The Adversary, all creativity is back. Let creativity rebuild this world at once!”
And at The Creator’s command, the endless void vanished and was replaced by a colorful landscape that filled the entire planet.
In the center of the planet of Creativity, a vast skyline reappeared. Muse City reappeared with its urban sprawl spreading for many square miles. Millions of Muses were back in the city, all happy and celebrating.
The creativity continued, and the planet was filled with different landmarks. Castles, palaces, theme parks, towers, mountains, valleys, rivers, seas, deserts, forests, jungles, plains, villages, towns, and various other cities.
With the creativity now alive and well, The Creator glanced at me, Muse, Twin Muse, Courage Muse, Wisdom Muse, and Power Muse.
“That appeal was well executed.” He said, glancing at the three Muses. “My intervention was necessary to prevent the extinction of creativity.”
I sighed. “If you knew that this destruction was going on from The Adversary meddling with this world, why didn’t you stop it earlier?”
The Creator smiled. “If were to do such a thing, what kind of story would this be? After all, everything played out just as it should. Now, I am returning to my realm. Celebrate this day and enjoy it! If you need me, just make another appeal. Oh. And Kyle. I think that you need this…”
A beam flashed and went into me.
“It’s a One Privilege!” I said with a smile. “But it works on two different Muses?
The Creator nodded. “Correct. You will see why you will need this kind of privilege in the future. Just know that your old One Privilege would be ineffective now that you have both Muses. Enjoy the creativity! Farewell!”
The Creator ascended into the sky and vanished in a blinding beam of light.
At that moment, I noticed that we weren’t at the Dark Tower anymore. I also noticed that the three Muses were gone.
I looked at my script and gasped. Time to start this from the beginning!
I flipped back to page one and began the entire post from the very beginning.
Once again, we have arrived at another milestone. A mandatory and objective milestone that will unfortunately and undoubtedly beyond certainty include…
Muse: Kyle! No! Stop! This is entry 4000! Are you REALLY going to recycle content from your past milestone posts? Come on!
Twin Muse: Really Kyle? That is SO unoriginal!
What are you talking about? This script IS from entry 4000!
Muse: I don’t think that it is. Can you please check the script for me?
Twin Muse: Yeah. I would check it!
Okay. I will. For both of your sakes…
*reaches into hammerspace and pulls script out of pocket*
See? Right here! Me & My Muse Script for entry…3900? Oh! I was reading from 3900! Okay. Where did I put the script for entry 4000?
*puts script back into hammerspace and pulls another large script out of pocket*
Ah! Here we go! The OFFICIAL Me & My Muse Script for Entry 4000. Are you ready?
Muse: Yes! Let’s do this!
Twin Muse: Woo Hoo! I’m totes ready!
Well, I already rehearsed, so I will put the script back…
*puts script back into hammerspace inside pocket*
This is it. Let’s go the full nine yards for the fourth time with something that has never been attempted before. I mean, there’s never been a 4000th post before, right?
Let’s try this out. If this doesn’t work, you will never see one of these again. And by this, I most certainly mean a post commemorating the fourth millennial milestone…
Muse: With this being 4,000, would it be Y4K?
Twin Muse: No! This post has 4K resolution!
Muse: You’re right! It totally does!
Yeah. I’ll say. Nothing but the best resolution for all of you so you can have the best picture. Continuing on…
Ideas. Thoughts. Hopes. Dreams. Where do they all come from? They all have a point of origin. They all have to start somewhere. One would say that the most brilliant ideas in the world are formed in the brain, but the brain is only a powerful machine. A supercomputer that processes the greatest ideas in all of creation. But where do the ideas flow from? In following the information from its source, we find that the greatest ideas come from the heart. This is something that AI cannot replicate or reproduce. It is in here that we find all the magic. And when this heart lets this magic loose, wonderful things start to happen. Ideas flow everywhere and are fed into the supercomputer. Wonderful worlds are created. Vibrant worlds rich in scenery. Rich in beauty. These worlds come alive and are all well contained in powerful words and sentences. And now the Muse interu…
Muse: That is beautiful!
You really think so? I am flattered that you have decided to invite me back for another wonderful milestone post. I am very happy that you…cue interruption fr…
Twin Muse: I love it! I’m so glad that we were able to rescue you!
As am I! Now as I was saying before I was kindly interrupted, I am very happy that you have entrusted me with my narrating expertise. It is what I do best, and it is what I live for. Such wonderful and well-written narrations. None of that garbage that you see in the non-millennial milestones…I mean, creativity was about to die completely, and I was kidnapped! The bad guy almost won! Would you find that in a non-millennial milestone? Nope! But do carry on…
And now, I will take over the narration from here. Thanks for narrating the introduction!
Anytime! This will surely not be the last of me, as this story is a wonderful epic, and will require some expertly narrated narrations…
Muse: And we both eagerly await them. Farewell, narrator! We’ll see you in the epic parts!
Twin Muse: Bet! I totes can’t wait!
We surely will!
And all of a sudden, both my Muse and Twin Muse had very eager looks on their faces. They were both brimming with happiness and joy. They teleported me to my Muse’s room at once, and they laid down on her freshly made bed. The linens were pink and white, and the reason why both my Muse and Twin Muse laying at her bed puzzled me. Were they tired? Did both of them need naps?
I suddenly saw something glow brightly. The outline of a heart appeared on my Muse’s chest. That same outline could be seen on Twin Muse as well. The outlines flashed and combined together. They then materialized into a white flashing heart of light. My Muse pointed to that flashing heart, followed by Twin Muse
“Let’s go, Kyle.” She told me, as if everything depended on me going.
“You’re gonna love this place!” Twin Muse added.
I glanced at that heart and frowned. “Go where?”
My Muse now had a big smile on her face. “Where else, Kyle? Into my heart!”
“Actually, it’s our Twin Heart!” Twin Muse corrected. “This world can only exist when we combine both of our hearts together!”
A tiny ant-size Muse appeared with a tiny Twin Muse following her and before I could even do anything, she touched me and I shrank to her size. My Muse’s smile widened and Twin Muse laughed. Her giant smile conveying the deepest level of ecstasy.
My smaller Muse tightly grasped my hand and Twin Muse grabbed my other hand. After that, we flew up. The heart of light emitted a whirling cyclone of light. It whirled around as we flew downward, sucking us both in. A blinding light overcame my eyes.
It is said that the heart of a Muse is the most beautiful thing that you can ever see. Inside that heart was something even more beautiful. A vast world, full of life and beauty. A lovely paradise and the perfect escape for any weary traveler. Kyle’s vision returned to him and his eyes focused. He saw his Muse standing next to him, wearing the most beautiful white dress imaginable. Whiter than snow. Whiter than any white that you have ever seen.
I glanced at my Muse and saw the beautiful world that was before us. The sun was out, and we were in a vast field full of white flowers. A flowery sea of purity.
I again glanced at the field, looking all confused. “Where are we?” I asked her.
My Muse smiled and pointed all around the landscape. “We…Are in the Twin Heart. This is a special place that can only exist when Twin Muses combine their hearts together.”
“But you…” I said, flabbergasted. “You are laying on your bed. You and Twin Muse. The flashing heart…”
My Muse nodded. “Yes. We are inside The Twin Heart now, and I am still laying on my bed with Twin Muse. Kyle, don’t you understand? I am Intangible, so I can be in more than one place at once.”
“Isn’t that cool?” Twin Muse blurted out. “I can tell you right now that I’m snoring!”
“Yes, that’s true.” I blurted, as I glanced at her beautiful brown hair. It was a golden brown, as everything about her appeared to be pure and angelic.
My Muse held out her hand like it was a written invitation. “Come,” she pleaded. “I am taking you to someplace very special…”
And blah blah blah. This is sounding very much like the 2,000th entry! Now it’s time for the fun to begin! And using my magical narration powers, Kyle, Muse, and Twin Muse were now once again in the golden monorail that traveled from the Creator’s Realm. The adventurers were off, all securely fastened in the golden monorail which traveled through the light rather gracefully. It traveled like a golden bullet, cutting through the air with such incredible ease. A bright light glistened from the realm that they previously visited and flowed directly into the golden bullet. The Creator, had returned the One Privilege to Kyle, but this one was a lot better. It could actually work on two different Muses! Kyle, Muse, and Twin Muse were filled with excitement and wonder, as they didn’t know when they would reach their next destination. The Creator’s Realm was barely noticeable as a new world began to come into view. The golden bullet monorail faithfully kept its course as it began to enter the new world…
I glanced at both Muses, who were both filled with excitement, and then I noticed a sudden jerk. The golden monorail was reducing in speed. The monorail continued its course through its light-filled path, through the countryside and past a meadow. All of this scenery was a blur, as the monorail was still traveling very fast. A plethora of skyscrapers started to fill the city in the distance. A golden hue flashed across the sky, as the sun was setting. The houses that we passed became more and more clustered and turned into apartments, and then high-rises.
“My city!” Muse gasped. “See what I made, my sis?”
Twin Muse nodded. “I see it, twinnie! You made it again! And this version is even better!”
I took in the scenery and gasped. “Wow…This city is even bigger than the last millennial post.”
“It is, Kyle,” she told me. “The city just keeps going and going. It stops at some point, but I just wanted to make a very big one this time…”
“You wanna know the truth?” Twin Muse smiled. “Since The Adversary is gone and creativity is back, there has been a huge baby boom in Muse City! The skyline has expanded and many new suburbs have been built!”
Muse nodded. “They have even began construction on a neighboring city!”
I smiled. “What’s the name?”
Twin Muse smiled. “Twin Muse City! It’s my idea! Because of the baby boom, the Muses are going to need another large city!”
“What a city…” I said, still taking it in. “I like Muse City.”
“I know!” My Muse said, smiling. “So do I!”
“And look!” Twin Muse shouted. “There’s parade!”
“There is?” I gasped.
The golden monorail continued to slow down, as we got deeper into the city. Sure enough, a large parade with millions of Muse onlookers at the street level could be seen. It was all a big celebration to celebrate peace and the revival of creativity with The Adversary gone. Skyscrapers were everywhere, and they were towering over us. Traffic was busy on the streets below, with pedestrians walking on the sidewalks everywhere. The only roads that were closed were the ones near the parade route, where there were many floats with the most important ones including Courage Muse, Wisdom Muse, Power Muse, and…me? They have a float dedicated to me? But away from the parade route in other parts of Muse City, a good number of them were riding through the streets on bicycles, following the bike-marked paths.
“All Muses still?” I asked her.
“Of course, Kyle!” she said, almost laughing. “There are still all Muses living here! It’s not Human City, it’s Muse City!”
The monorail began to slow down even more, as it was pulling into a monorail station. It entered in the middle of one of the tall buildings. The golden monorail stopped and we all exited it.
My Muse took my hand and my Twin Muse’s hand and eagerly ran with us toward a set of elevators.
“Let’s go to the top!” she begged us. This is a wonderful city, and I want you to see everything that I made.”
We nodded and followed her to the elevators. We joined another group of Muses, that were also waiting for an elevator.
“Going to the restaurant?” a woman Muse asked us. “It’s on the top floor and I’m having a romantic dinner with my husband.”
The man Muse nodded. “This is the first day of the Festival of Creative Freedom. The kids are at home with a babysitter, so we get the night out.”
My Muse nodded. “We are!”
The elevator door opened and we all entered. The Muse couple and a few other Muses entered with us.
My Muse pressed 3000 as that was the top floor for this building. A few other Muses pressed buttons to a couple of lower floors, so it will be a while before we get there.
A couple minutes later, after everyone else got off the elevator, it was just Me, my Muse, Twin Muse, and the Muse couple. The elevator stopped on the top floor and we all got out.
The perimeter of the top floor was lined with glass, with various areas designated for restaurants, shopping, and gift shops. My Muse took me and Twin Muse to the observatory, and the couple followed us.
“I want a nice picture of the two of us before we eat!” the woman Muse told the man Muse. “Right at the observatory! Plus, you can see the parade down there! Isn’t it nice?”
The man Muse nodded and guided her over there.
I looked out the observatory and gasped. Panning my vision in a counterclockwise direction, I saw vast expanse of the city to the west, south, and east. A busy interstate surrounded the city, and was full of traffic. Various Muses were in the sky. Some of them were on flying platforms. Others flew with jetpacks with angel wings or fairy wings as part of their stylish design.
“A bunch of inventions!” I shouted.
“An Airplane!” Twin Muse shouted, as she saw an airplane take off from an airport far off in the distance.
“Got it!” The man Muse shouted. “Let’s go eat!”
My Muse nodded and looked at me and her sister. “Let’s eat too!” she told us.
“Okay!” Twin Muse shouted. “I’m hungry!”
We all walked toward the restaurant with the Muse couple and passed a few tanks full of fish as we approached the entrance.
“A fish!” I shouted.
The hostess let the Muse couple in first.
Before my Muse could go any further, she was stopped by the hostess Muse.
“How many?” she asked us.
“Three.” My Muse answered.
“Do you have preferred seating?” she asked my Muse.
“A table by the window.” She instructed her.
“Very well. Your server will guide you to your table. Follow him.”
The hostess Muse marked our table down on her list and we followed our server Muse to our table. As we passed a few tables, I noticed some tiny people trying to carry a sugar packet.
“Is that…a Borrower?” My Muse said, noticing the little Muses trying to carry the sugar.
The server Muse sat us down and gave us our menus. “I’ll be back in a few minutes with your order,” he told us.
Before looking at the menu, I took in the scenery. As I looked northwest, I saw grassy fields and could barely make out the outline of a castle. “Is that…a castle?”
My Muse looked out and focused her vision in the same direction I was. “Yes…I see it too. A powerful Muse is queen over her kingdom there. The princess is one of my forms and she lives there…”
“Did you say princess?” Twin Muse chimed in. “I wanna be a princess!” Twin Muse transformed the dress that she was wearing into a princess dress and made a tiara appear on her head.
“There sis.” She said, smiling. “I’m a princess!”
I looked out to the northeast and I saw a tall structure far in the distance. Even from this distance, I could see that the architecture looked Asian.
“You see it too, Kyle?” she asked me. “That’s a bathhouse!”
I then looked directly north. From our height, I could see where the city ended and field began. A field that flowed into a valley. The valley then led up into a mountain range, with an enormous tower at the very top.
I gasped. “Is that…the Tower of Muses?”
My Muse nodded. “It is! And that’s where we’re going after we eat. It’s going to be a long journey before we get there, though…”
The server Muse came back and glanced at all of us. “So what will you all be having today?”
“I will have the lobster bisque with your world-famous spicy mac and cheese.” My Muse answered.
“And to drink?” he asked her.
“I will have the double-barrel espresso.” She told him.
“Good choice!” he said, writing the order down. He turned to me. “And what will you have?”
“Keeping it simple, I want the same thing.” I told him.
“Very good,” he told me. He turned to Twin Muse. “And what about you?”
“I will have your Royal Salmon Steaks with your golden garlic butter mashed potatoes.” She told him.
“And to drink?”
“Make it the double-barrel espresso, but with two extra shots! I LOVE caffeine!”
“Okay then!” The server took all of our menus and closed his order slip. “We’ll have it out as soon as possible!”
I frowned at both Muses. “Why did you both get coffee? Coffee is NOT for Muses!”
They both playfully jabbed me in the side.
“Why did you say that?” My Muse challenged me. “Are you basing that off of what one of your older blogs say about Muses drinking coffee?”
“Interestingly, I can remember that…” Twin Muse told us.
About 20 minutes later, the server Muse came out with our food. We all ate it and we drank our double-barrel espressos.
A couple minutes later, Twin Muse had an uncomfortable look on her face. “Oh…” she gasped. “Oh no! Not again!!!” Her chair began dripping, with everything dripping down her legs. Her face turned red. “I’ll be in the bathroom. I’ll be right back!”
Twin Muse scurried off to the bathroom, leaving a dripping trail as she ran.
I nodded, holding back a smile. “Dark or light, her personality is still there…”
My Muse nodded, quietly sighing. “It’s okay. Knowing that she’s my sister now, it makes so much sense. I think that it would be best that we do not say anything about her embarrassing accident. Let’s be easy on her, okay?”
I nodded. “I won’t say anything if you won’t say anything.”
Twin Muse hurried back to the table and sat down. She was wiping tears off her eyes, quietly weeping.
My Muse wrapped her arm around her shoulder. “Don’t worry about what happened,” she quietly told her. “You are my sister, and we all do embarrassing things…”
“But I peed myself!” she shouted. “And everybody saw me when I hurried to the bathroom!”
My Muse then began whispering into Twin Muse’s ear.
“You did?” she said, gasping. “Really? Wow. Now I don’t feel so bad about it…”
The bill came for the meal and my Muse left the full amount, plus a tip for the server Muse.
“So we’re going to the Tower of Muses next?” I asked my Muse.
My Muse nodded. “We are, but we’re taking the scenic way!”
“And it’s going to be different than last time!” Twin Muse smiled. “Engineer Muse?”
A Muse with an Engineer hat came over to our table and smiled. “The Airship is right outside. Are you ready to go?”
Both Muses nodded.
I gasped. “We’re taking an airship?”
Muse nodded. “Of course we are!”
“Yeah!” Twin Muse added. “Jet Packs are SOOOOOOOOO Entry 2000!”
We all followed the Engineer Muse outside to the observatory where we took the picture with the Muse couple a little earlier. From where we were standing, a ramp and a foldable bridge led out to a large hi-tech airship which hovered just above the observatory.
We all walked up the ramp and down the bridge and boarded the airship. We approached the glass doors which opened automatically.
Inside the airship was the bridge level where the pilot was operating the airship. Just ahead of us was an elevator.
A Muse stewardess approached us.
“Welcome to the Marvelous Muse Airship!” The Muse Stewardess said with a smile. “I will take you both to your luxury cabin. Feel free to lounge in your room or rest while we take you to The Tower of Muses, your destination. A complimentary snack and drink has been provided, so please enjoy that. The snack and drink both reflect the Creative Freedom Festival going on this week, so enjoy. All of us at the Marvelous Muse Airship hope that you have a comfortable flight!”
Muse smiled. “You see why we’re taking the airship this time?”
Twin Muse grinned. “It’s the ONLY way to travel!”
I nodded. “Let’s enjoy ourselves until we get there!”
The Muse Stewardess glanced at all of us. “Follow me onto the elevator. Your luxury cabin is two levels down.”
We followed the Muse Stewardess onto the elevator and it descended downward two levels.
We got off and followed the Muse Stewardess down a hallway that had other cabins. At the end of the hallway was a cabin that had not one door, but a large double door.
The Muse Stewardess handed us a card key. I scanned it and the door automatically opened.
Once inside, I saw a room that resembled a presidential suite. A large sofa with a few other chairs were in the room. In another section was a full kitchen with a dining room table nearby. On the dining room table were plates filled with Freedom lobster rolls and Freedom Fusion Kiwi Raspberry tea served in golden goblets. And how did I know what the names of the dishes were? The fancy printed index card tents each identified the dishes that were on the table.
On the other side of the large suite was two king-sized beds with a door which I guessed led to a master bathroom near the dining room table.
A large window with adjustable drapes was right next to the two beds, giving us a wonderful view of Muse City as we were flying past the 3000 floor Muse Building where we ate at the restaurant and boarded the airship.
I got on the first bed and my two Muses got on the other bed. We all glanced out the window and smiled, and were in awe of all the festivities that were going on in the streets below us.
Both Kyle and the Muse Sisters enjoyed the wonderful amenities in the Marvelous Muse Airship and watched the airship soar higher and higher, soaring to new heights. Having such wonderful meals and now some delicious lobster rolls, they were all ready for the next leg of their adventure. The airship freely flew away from the busy expanse of skyscrapers, heading northward to a quiet valley, passing over a field that was just as quiet. But a rather disturbing sound broke through the quietness of the slightly chilly night. Could it be? Oh no! It was a silhouetted figure with a darkening aura. This cannot be good. The airship touched down deep in the valley leading to the mountain range, while the mysterious figure ran away, out of their sight…
I looked at my Muse, and then glanced at Twin Muse. “It looks like a long way up. Is everyone ready?”
“More like are you two ready?” My Muse said, looking up at the mountain. “There is something important that I just remembered! Something that I really need to do! You two, good luck with the climb!”
And before I could even respond, Muse vanished in a bright beam of light.
Having just seen her disappear, I shrugged my shoulders. “I guess that it’s just the two of us, huh?”
Twin Muse, completely dumbfounded, nodded. “I guess so. It looks like a very tall mountain. Let’s get going.”
And with that, we continued onward. The valley continued forward as we both walked it.
Off to the side of the valley were numerous headstones. It was a cemetery of sorts. But what kind of cemetery?
I frowned as I looked the cemetery. “What is that cemetery?”
Twin Muse pointed to the sign. “It would help if you could read! This is the Entry Cemetery! Each headstone is marked by an entry that doesn’t exist! There are over 1,100 entries that don’t exist. 1,173 to be exact. Entire milestone posts, normal posts…and look at that gigantic headstone. That’s Entry #3000. That headstone is so big that it has its own memorial, complete with tomb. But yeah. It’s a pretty sad graveyard. We can pay our respects to these dearly departed entries that will never exist.”
And I did just that. We weeped and lamented over the posts that will never exist, due to lack of creativity, laziness, and writer’s block.
“To Entry 2700, 2800, 2900, 3100, 3200, 3300, 3400, 3500, 3600, 3700, and 3800, RIP all you entries!” Twin Muse sobbed.
“Especially you, Entry 3000!” I cried. “Because you are in the graveyard, there are only three Millennial entries instead of four. Rest in peace, you precious milestone. Rest in peace.”
After we paid our respects to the dearly departed entries in the Entry Cemetery, we continued through the valley. It then reached a dead end. A cliff went straight up. Wedged in the corner of the cliff was a tower.
When I saw the tower, I gasped. “A Tower of Muses?” I said, confused. “But I thought the tower was at the top?”
Twin Muse shook her head. “It’s not the tower you think it is. Let’s go inside it!”
And we did. Just as we approached the tower, I saw that same dark silhouette that I saw when I was in the air.
“Hee hee…” The mysterious figure said as she entered the tower.
“It’s her…” I told Twin Muse. “It’s Midnight Muse. Clearly one of the older ones, since Muse has already went somewhere else…”
The tower looked like an office building – for women. The pink and white accents ran up and down the structure. The glass had a pink tint to it.
“A pink office building,” I said to myself. “Can’t my Muse be any more original?”
“Hey!” Twin Muse shouted. “I heard that!” And with that, we both entered the tower.
It was the same tower of Muses that I remembered from when I entered the tower for the first time.
I was immediately surrounded by pink. Pink and white checkered tiles made of marble. Pink and white sashes hanging in wide arcs throughout the ceiling. The colors of the walls alternated between pink and white. A white service desk sat in the middle of the lobby.
And, of course, a receptionist sat there, hard at work, making rapid strokes on the keyboard. When the receptionist caught a glance of me, I saw her face. Sure enough, it was my Muse, only she was an adult.
“Hello again!” The Muse receptionist shouted.
I glanced at Twin Muse and then back at the receptionist. “We are making our journey up to the Tower of Muses. Will this tower take us there?”
The Muse receptionist nodded. “It certainly will! But even if you get to the top of this tower, you will still have a long way to go. Speaking of that tower, I have to get going. I have a receptionist meeting with the head receptionist. See you later!”
The Muse receptionist vanished and she was gone. She was replaced by a Muse assistant that occupied her seat.
Twin Muse pointed over to the elevators. “Let’s go up! We have a long way to go!”
I nodded and we walked toward the elevators. Just as we approached them, I saw an elevator door close.
“She’s on her way up!” I shouted.
“Then we need to hurry!” Twin Muse told me.
We pressed the up button and got in the next elevator door that opened. I pressed the 100 button.
Finally, moments later, the elevator arrived at the 100th floor.
The floor was an enormous room, lavishly decorated. A desk sat in one corner and a king-sized bed sat in the other. Pretty much the same room as Tower of Ideas, only the bed was pink.
And on the bed laid…my Muse?
“What’s going on?” I asked Twin Muse. “You’re with me and she’s right there?”
Twin Muse nodded. “It’s like going through history. This is the same 100 story tower from the beginning.”
I nodded. “Okay.” When I saw the other Muse laying on the bed, it made a lot more sense. She was five years old and fast asleep, with a note attached to her. I am not going to bother reading this note since this was long from the past.
I followed Twin Muse around the back end of the room. It led to a door, which led to a short hallway which led to another door, with an exit sign posted above it.
“Exit?” I gasped.
But when I glanced outside the window, I noticed that we were at the bottom of a plateau. This tower only took us to the top of the cliff.
We both exited the tower and I glanced up. Another tall cliff was in the distance, with another tower wedged in the corner.
I sighed. “Are we going to have to ascend 39 cliffs to get to the Tower of Muses?”
Twin Muse nodded, with a widening smile.
I sighed again. This is going to take a looooooooooooong time.
We approached the second tower and I saw the same dark figure as the previous tower entering it.
We hurried inside and saw a different lobby. Approaching a brown colored service desk, I saw a different Muse sitting there. But she wasn’t typing. In fact, she looked up right after I got to this floor. It was only a split second that I saw her typing….
“Hello again, Kyle.” she announced. “You are on the “The New Muse” floor. This floor is one of my favorites, since it captures who I am, 99 days ago….”
I shrugged my shoulders and sighed. “That is nice and all, but I need to be ascending to the top…”
The Muse receptionist nodded and then looked at her watch. She gasped. “And I need to be going to the meeting at the Tower of Muses! See you there!”
The Muse receptionist vanished like the first one and was also replaced by a Muse assistant.
We ran over to the elevator. Once again, one of the doors just closed. We entered the elevator next to us and took it to the 100th floor.
Me and Twin Muse both saw another Muse laying on a light blue bed, with a note attached to her. We hurried out of the tower, following the similar exits from the previous tower.
And just like that, the grand chase began. Both Kyle and Twin Muse hurried through the towers, trying to catch the Dark Muse. They traversed the higher plateaus, ascending the cliff through the third tower, the fourth tower, the fifth tower, all the way up to the tenth tower. Even being this far, they both still had a very long way to go…
We passed through the party room and saw that it was empty. After that, we entered the next room. This room was an enormous room, lavishly decorated. A desk sat in one corner and a grand bed sat in the other. It was the size of four king-sized beds merged together. It was well decorated with pure white and solid gold, with the bed being the same color.
And on this bed laid the Muse from the 1000th entry. When I saw her, a sudden realization came across me. These Muses are not at the Tower of Muses!
“Why aren’t these Muses at the Tower of Muses?” I asked her.
“Kyle, all of these towers are copies.” She told me. All of the original Muses are all resting up on their floors in the main tower. Don’t worry about them, okay?”
I nodded. “Okay!”
We both exited the tenth tower, followed the plateau around, and ascended the eleventh tower. We then went through that plateau and took the twelfth tower to the top.
When we passed that room, I saw a three-year old Muse sleeping in a king-sized bed with fencing around it.
“Aw,” Twin Muse said, looking at her. “I looked so cute when I was sleeping at that age…”
“I was very nervous at that time,” I told her. “I didn’t want you to be a baby forever…”
“Fortunately, that didn’t happen, Kyle. I learned all my developmental milestones during that arc and thrived. Let’s go to the next one!”
I nodded, and we left the room and went towards the back.
Our ascents continued, through the 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th towers. And the Muses that slept there were the Time Lady Muse, Princess Muse, Jedi Muse, Giant Muse (Her room was bigger than the universe), Child Muse, and Iron Muse.
We left the 18th tower and noticed the dark shadow running in the distance. From our brisk pace, we were catching up to her. I quickly looked up and saw that only more plateau remained. The top plateau with the Tower of Muses at the top.
As we approached the area where the cliff side was for the 19th tower, I noticed that the area flowed into a water-filled cave. We entered the cave and the tower was inside. My Muse gave us mermaid tails and we swam toward the next tower.
The dark shadow was just about to enter the door when we approached her.
“Reveal yourself.” I told the dark shadow. “I know that you are Midnight Muse.”
“Wow!” Midnight Muse shouted. “Quite observant, aren’t we? But I don’t have time to talk to you. Bye! Hee hee!”
And with that, she swam right inside the tower. We both swam in right behind her.
Instead of talking to the receptionist, we hurried to the elevators. She pressed the up button and we entered with her.
I pressed the 100 button and gave her an accusatory stare. “So, what are you doing?”
“Just having fun!” she answered. “And speaking of fun, how about a makeover? Get ready, sissy…”
“Don’t you even THINK about it!” I shouted at her.
She lunged forward toward Twin Muse and I blocked her. She swam out of the way and quickly swam into Twin Muse.
Twin Muse then flashed dark and shrank down to her size. “Wow! What a wonderful makeover!”
“No!” I told her. “You’re getting out of there now!”
“No Kyle! Stop! I like this makeover. I’m keeping this style. It’s totally GOAT!”
I ignored Twin Muse, who was possessed by her. I used my One Privilege to remove Midnight Muse from her.
“Fine!” Midnight Muse shouted. “Be that way! But I’m still going to the tower! Betcha I can beat you there! Hee hee!”
The elevator reached the top floor and she swam out quickly toward the exit.
Me and Twin Muse swam through the final room. A Mermaid Muse was laying in her bed, sleeping. We swam around to the back and exited the room. We closed the door after we entered the short hallway.
In this room, all the water drained and Twin Muse transformed both her and me back.
We exited the 19th tower and continued to the 20th plateau.
And on this bed laid the Muse from the 2000th entry. When I saw her, a sudden realization came across me. These Muses are not at the Tower of Muses!
Our ascents continued, through the 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 26th towers. And the Muses that slept there were Zorpozian Muse, Tween Muse, Hylian Muse, Weather Muse, Time Muse, and Twin Muse.
When we got to the 27th tower, I could see the structure starting to become unstable. And when I passed through the 28th, 29th, and 30th towers, they were all empty shells. There were floors, but nothing on them.
The same thing could be said on the 31st tower, 32nd tower, 33rd tower, 34th tower, 35th tower, and 36th tower, 37th tower, and 38th tower. But then I got to the 39th tower, it was mostly intact.
Finally, I reached the top plateau once again. Far in the distance was flowery field, with rows of flowers that lit up on either side, forming a straight path to the Tower of Muses far ahead. As we walked forward, I noticed that the ground beneath us transformed into glowing bricks.
The bricks all vibrated, forming a beautiful melody that filled the nighttime sky. It was a wonderful symphony. A symphony of a multitude of beautiful voices all converging together as one.
As we approached the tower, it got bigger and bigger. The flowers glowed. The fireflies all twinkled in the sky.
Then I saw it. Like the tower back in entry 1000 and entry 2000 (RIP entry 3000), this one was pure white. But it was even whiter than before. I didn’t think that it was possible, but this tower was even whiter. Whiter than any white that you have ever seen. A powerful glow emanated all around the tower. Gold spirals run all the way up it to the very top. Diamonds twinkled and glowed as we approached it.
A grand turnstile served as the entrance and Midnight Muse went right through it.
Twin Muse shook her head. “I don’t like what she’s doing…”
I nodded. “Neither do I.”
And for a moment, Kyle just stood there, overcome with disbelief. Having gone so far with Twin Muse, he was finally here. At the Tower of Muses that stood at the end of every post. His journey has brought the two of them through a rather far distance. From the Twin Heart into a vibrant world, flowing into a central network of worlds. And then through Muse City. And finally, through the valley, the Entry Cemetery, and up the numerous plateaus. It was a long journey indeed, and Kyle could not help but feel excited. Both ecstasy and excitement began to fill him like a plague. He really could not contain level of excitement that he had. There was so much excitement in him that a whole legion of soldiers would shout with glee at a mere glance of him. To defuse his excitement, Twin Muse quickly took him through the grand turnstile and they both entered…
“That Midnight Muse is up to no good!” she told me. “We really need to get this moving on…”
I nodded and looked ahead. After leaving the turnstile with Twin Muse, I noticed the grand lobby and took it all in. It was even bigger than before. It continued the pure white theme from outside. There was pure white with pure gold outlining all the walls and the furniture.
There were two sitting areas adjacent to each other, each with white loveseats and a few white lounge chairs. Each chair was outlined in pure gold and studded with diamonds with a few chestnut oak coffee tables scattered around.
Looking just ahead of the sitting areas sat the grand reception desk. Unlike the one from entry 2000, this one was much bigger. One large reception desk sat in the center with a ring of 39 reception desks encircling it. Each desk was pure white, with solid gold bows lining the sides. And pretty much like all the previous editions, each desk was occupied by a busy Muse, hard at work, each making rapid strokes on the keyboard. The only exception were 12 seats that laid bare.
Since curiosity got the best of me, I called the attention of the receptionists. “Might I ask who’s in charge?”
The Muse receptionist in the center desk stopped typing and looked up at me. “That would be me. Tee hee!”
I looked at the much larger circle of desks that surrounded hers. “Could you then explain the others? Do they all work for you?”
“Yes!” she answered. “They all work for me. Do you want me to introduce you to them?”
My Muse nodded. “Yes. We would want to know who they are, please.”
“Please do,” I told her. “There are so many new faces this time…”
The Muse receptionist in the center desk got the attention of the other 26 Muses. “Workers!” she shouted. “Say your name and title for Kyle please! Tee hee!”
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses!” the first one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Second Ascent!” the second one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Third Ascent!” the third one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Fourth Ascent!” the fourth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Fifth Ascent!” the fifth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Sixth Ascent!” the sixth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Seventh Ascent!” the seventh one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Eighth Ascent!” the eighth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Ninth Ascent!” the ninth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Tenth Ascent!” the tenth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Eleventh Ascent!” the eleventh one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Twelfth Ascent!” the twelfth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Thirteenth Ascent!” the thirteenth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Fourteenth Ascent!” the fourteenth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Fifteenth Ascent!” the fifteenth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Sixteenth Ascent!” the sixteenth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Seventeenth Ascent!” the seventeenth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Eighteenth Ascent!” the eighteenth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Nineteenth Ascent!” the nineteenth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Twentieth Ascent!” the twentieth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Twenty-First Ascent!” the twenty-first one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Twenty-Second Ascent!” the twenty-second one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Twenty-Third Ascent!” the twenty-third one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Twenty-Fourth Ascent!” the twenty-fourth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Twenty-Fifth Ascent!” the twenty-fifth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Twenty-Sixth Ascent!” the twenty-sixth one shouted.
“Muse receptionist from Tower of Muses: The Thirty-Ninth Ascent!” the last one shouted.
“Wait a second!” I shouted. “The eleventh one doesn’t look like a Muse…”
“You are right…” The eleventh receptionist said with a sigh. “I look more like you, right? I think that we have discussed this before. I could get the actual receptionist for you, but she’s taking her nap and she’s still in diapers…”
Twin Muse laughed. “I don’t think we want to do that. We’re fine with you filling in…” She then turned to me. “All of them are receptionists from all the past towers that I made.”
“That is correct!” The Muse in the center desk shouted. “All of them are here for the big celebration. I asked them to leave their towers and come work for me! Tee hee!”
“And they’ll be back in their own towers by the twenty-first ascent?” I asked her.
“That’s correct!” she answered. “It will be just her! Tee hee!”
I then sighed and saw the 12 vacant seats. “Some seats are missing!” I said, frowning. “Where are these Muse receptionists?”
The Muse in the center desk sighed. “They never showed up for work. Not since day one! I think they died at some point. Did you see the graveyard? Tee hee!”
I nodded. I then glanced at the Fortieth Ascent receptionist. “I know that this tower has more bells and whistles, but is this the same Tower of Muses as before?” I asked her.
Twin Muse shook her head again and smiled. “No, silly! This tower is a little different. And there’s a teleporter thingy that will take you to the 3901st floor!”
I nodded, with a slight grin on my face. And this was mainly due to the déjà vu from all the previous nineteen editions of this tower that I have experienced in the past. “And this floor is still…”
“Floor 1,” she recited. “ExperiMENTAL. Tee hee…”
Being very eager to approach the teleporter, Twin Muse stopped me immediately. She thrust her hands against my side. “Stop Kyle!” She shouted. “Don’t!”
“Oh, come on?” I sighed. “You don’t want to take the shortcut this time?”
“And miss out on all the epic adventures on this millennial milestone post?” she smiled. “No. We are taking the long scenic route!”
“Scenic? Tee hee?” the center Muse receptionist said, grinning. “Again? Normally, the elevators here take you up 100 floors. Then you have to go to the next elevators to go up 100 more floors…”
“But you do have something more simple, right?” I said with a smile.
“Tee hee!” she said, smiling. “That’s right! Normally you would have to keep going up 100 floors. But there’s some special elevators in the back that will take you up all the way to the 3901st floor! Just enter the floor on the touch screen and it will take you there! There’s even voice command! It’s the latest! Tee hee!”
“We’ll use those elevators, then.” I told her. “Thanks!”
The center Muse receptionist nodded. “Anytime! Tee hee! Have fun!”
I followed Twin Muse to the special elevators in the back. They had glass doors like its millennial ancestor and you could see through them.
“Kyle, we’ve gone through this before, haven’t we?” Twin Muse said with a sigh. She playfully nudged me. “You knew about the special elevators already! I designed this, so let’s stop stalling and let’s get going! Kyle, quick!”
I glanced at her and I saw the urgency on her face as I approached the elevator panel. She wanted to kiss me. I could just tell. But she didn’t want to blurt it to her day one counterparts.
I quickly pressed the up button and one of the eight elevators instantly opened.
“Floor 10,” she stated.
The elevator doors closed and she began to kiss me on the lips incessantly.
“Hey hey!” I shouted. “Do you have any idea how many people are watching?”
“I don’t care,” she said, between kisses. “Hey everyone! I’m kissing Kyle! Kissy kissy kiss kiss kiss!!! Come on, Kyle, if anyone deserves it, it’s you. Who else has actually kissed you besides your mother? Don’t you want to be kissed by a woman?”
I nodded. “Well yeah…” I told her. “A real woman.”
She tightly embraced me and smiled. “Well, you’re real to me, and that’s what counts. In this world that I made, you are real. I made this tower and you made me. Don’t you want to be with me? What about anyone you plan on meeting in the future? You will need some dating practice. What kind of real woman would want to be with you if you’re not equipped? Practice your affections on me.”
I nodded with a quiet sigh. “Fine. Kissing only, okay. The clothes remain on!”
My Muse shook her head and gasped. “Why no! Why would I embarrass you like that? I am very modest, so I wouldn’t put you through that.”
The elevator dinged and it opened again.
“More coffee?” I sighed. “So the double barrel espresso wasn’t enough for you?”
Twin Muse shook her head. “You know how much I LOVE coffee, Kyle. Just let me get some coffee, and we can continue, okay?”
“Very well, but don’t go crazy like last time.”
She nodded. “I won’t! Okay?”
I gave her a skeptic look. “Okay…”
We approached the counter of a Starbucks café. The barista there looked bored, like she hasn’t had a customer in hours.
“What’s your order, ma’am?”
Twin Muse smiled. “Three venti vanilla cappuccinos.”
“One!” I shouted. “You are not going to get all hyper and pee your pants like last time.”
Twin Muse shook her head. “I’m a big girl and I know how to make it to the bathroom. I mean, come on, Kyle!” She ordered her three venti cappuccinos and she drank all of them in front of me.
I motioned her to leave, but she shook her head.
“Seven more…” she said, with a crazed look on her face.
“No more,” I told her.
But she didn’t listen. She ordered the seven and drank them all in front of me.
After she drank the four additional ones after that, she reached her hand out to order again.
“You are NOT going to order again!” I shouted.
“Oh yes I will!” she shouted, her face twitching. “Don’t you see it? It’s amazing! Coffee is amazing! You are amazing! I am amazing! Coffee coffee coffee coffee coffee! I love cof…”
Twin Muse collapsed on the floor and I gasped. As much caffeine that was inside her, there was no accident. She has got to have an accident very soon…But she didn’t. She never did. Everyone. I am going to inspect her quickly. I’ll be right back…
*a couple minutes later*
Well, that’s weird. Considering what she was wearing, it was like she was planning for this event. Well, she’s still unconscious, so I will get her to the elevator before she wakes up…
I carried my Muse in my arms and took her back to the elevator. I pressed the up button and entered the elevator with her. I then sat my Muse on the floor.
“Floor 1084,” I said.
The elevator door closed and she woke up.
“It happened again!” My Muse said, gasping. “Kyle, I’m sorry again about the whole coffee thing. When I’m on that floor, I just can’t help myself. On that floor, it turns me into a total coffee addict.”
“Well, maybe we shouldn’t visit it anymore,” I told her. “You didn’t act like that at all with your double-barrel espresso.”
She nodded. “It’s that floor. I don’t know what it is. It’s kind of weird…” She glanced at the elevator panel. “Where are we going? Floor 1084? We’re going to visit Baby Muse again, huh?”
“Yup!” I said with a smile. “We need to see how Tween Muse is with taking care of Baby Muse.”
Twin Muse nodded. “Right!”
Moments passed. The elevator then dinged again and stopped on the 1084th floor. The elevator door opened and we all exited it.
Standing right next to us was a Baby Muse. She was standing there in just a shirt and a diaper.
“Pee pee!” she shouted.
Tween Muse glanced at all of us and smiled, holding Baby Muse. “Are you all checking up on me? She’s doing fine so far.” She then looked at Baby Muse. “Did you just go? Here. Let me help you…” She then turned to all of us. “Everyone. She doesn’t need an audience. I’m going to go and help her, okay?”
“Works for us!” I told her. I then turned back to Twin Muse. “Let’s go, Twin Muse!”
She nodded, and we both got back inside the elevator.
“Floor 1163!” I shouted.
But for some reason, it stopped between the 1162nd floor and the 1163rd floor.
We both heard the sound of a struggle.
“I grow…BIGGER!” The Dark Baby Muse shouted.
And with that, the universe exploded and the elevator stopped on floor 1163. The Baby Universe floor.
Tee hee hee hee hee hee…
Upon hearing that sound, it sent chills down my spine. She did it again. The Dark Muse remade the universe in her image. “She…” I gasped.
“Don’t worry, Kyle.” Twin Muse told me. “These floors are only memories of what happened. “Let’s keep going, okay? Where to next?”
“Floor 1337!” I shouted. “That floor is so 1337!”
Twin Muse nodded.
The elevator continued upward, but almost immediately stopped on the 1337th floor. The door opened, with a large crowd of people staring at us.
“You two are made of fail.” The lead person told us. “If you were to walk on this floor, you would be pwned so fast that you would be turned into fail sauce in no time.”
“Get lost, n00bs!” A woman shouted in the crowd.
“That woman is right,” he told us. “You see, everyone on this floor is made of win. But you two are made of fail. Get back into your fail box before we all turn you into fail sauce. None of you are 1337 enough to be here. One! One! One! 11! One! Shift plus 1!”
“One! One! One! 11! One! Shift plus 1!” Everyone chanted.
Twin Muse glanced at me and frowned. “And you wanted to come to this floor why?”
“Let’s keep going.” I told her. “For epic win, we need to go to the next floor. Those n00bs are teh fake, we are teh real, and would all get pwned very badly if we were to stay. Later n00bs! Floor 2001!”
Before they could say anything else, the elevator door closed and continued upward. It then stopped on floor 2001.
I glanced around and sighed. “ExperiMENTAL 3.0. There are no special changes this time. To Floor 2196!”
After a little while, the elevator stopped on the 2196th floor and the doors opened.
I was now on the Taming the Light floor. I was on 2196A, since there was two floors. I watched as the Zopozian Muse devoured the Kliz Necklace.
“Quick!” I shouted. “We need to leave this floor! To floor 2219!”
Twin Muse gasped. “Why did you stop there in the first place? Well, let’s keep moving on…”
The elevator stopped on the 2219th floor and the door opened. I smiled as I saw a set of Muse Twins smiling.
Twin Muse smiled. “I remember that! I was a Tween Muse and recounting my recent day of Twins Days with my sis!”
I nodded. “That’s why I stopped here. Do you have any other requests?”
Twin Muse nodded. “Let’s go to floor 2222!”
I nodded. “Floor 2222!”
Moments later, the elevator stopped on floor 2222 and the elevator doors opened.
I smiled. This was the Smarter Phone floor. This was my second official Smart Phone so this was quite fun to relive this moment. I also saw Twin Muse as a Tween Muse, enjoying her phone as well.
My Twin Muse then smiled. “Did you see her! So many Instagram posts! I just followed her…”
I then saw Twin Muse flash brightly and gasped. “Floor 2267, and FAST!”
Twin Muse shook her head. “No! More likes! More selfies! I will be GOAT!”
A short while laster, the elevator stopped on the 2267th floor. The elevator dinged and the door opened.
The was Muse meets the Maker floor. I watched as MCMaker dropped his mad beats and drained all of the Muse Tween’s popularity with horrible memes.
Twin Muse gasped. “Phew! That was a close call! Thanks Kyle!”
I nodded and smiled as I knew where we could go next. “To 2295!”
Twin Muse gasped. “Is that…Walt Disney World? EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! YES! Let’s go!!!”
The elevator continued upward. Moments later, it stopped on the 2295th floor and the door opened.
My Twin Muse was with Muse, and they were having the time of their lives at Walt Disney World. All in all, this was quite the fun trip and I enjoyed it.
“2364…” I said with a sigh. I had to visit to say goodbye.
The elevator continued upward. Moments later, it stopped on the 2364th floor and the door opened.
This was the “Second Trip” floor. This was back when I got an apartment. Sadly, this was not meant to be since I had to move back home eventually.
“How about 2405?” I sighed. “I need a road trip to take my mind off of this…”
Twin Muse nodded. “Well let’s do that then!”
The elevator continued upward. Moments later, it stopped on the 2405th floor and the door opened.
This was the “FriNESday Road Trip/Plenty of Saturday GoodNES…” floor. It was when I made my fun roadtrip up north to visit my friend for the first time since he moved up north.
After that, Twin Muse glanced at the elevator panel. “Floor 2427!”
I grinned. “Leap Day? So you want to be 9 again?”
Twin Muse nodded. “Yup!”
The elevator continued upward. Moments later, it stopped on the 2427th floor and the door opened.
When we reached this floor, Twin Muse shrinked and became 9 years old, due to it being a Leap Day.
I sighed. “Done? If so, let’s get to the next floor! Floor 2508!”
The elevator continued upward. But instead of stopping on Floor 2508, it stopped on Floor 2442. The door immediately opened.
A Muse wearing a facemask frowned at both me and Twin Muse. “Just what are you two doing without a facemask? And move away from each other! You need to be at least six feet apart!”
The Muse handed each of us an N95 face mask and watched us put them on. She then gave us a nod of approval. “A vaccine is being worked on and you will both need to take that when it becomes available. I wouldn’t go outside at all, unless you are an essential worker. Just stay inside and stay safe!”
The Muse left the elevator and I sighed.
“We need to leave the COVID floors!” I sighed. “We will need to keep the masks on until we leave these floors.”
Twin Muse nodded. “I will. Let’s keep going!”
The elevator then continued upward towards the 2508th floor. Moments later, it stopped on the 2508th floor and the door opened.
This floor was called “Farewell Sanford”, and I almost cried, seeing my village in ruins.
Twin Muse then glanced at the elevator panel again. “Floor 2532!” She shouted.
The elevator continued upward. Moments later, it stopped on the 2532nd floor and the door opened.
Twin Muse smiled. “I remember this! The transformation cycle was delayed, due to the pandemic. Anyway, that’s all that I wanted to do here.”
The Time Traveling Muse gasped when she saw us.
“You’re from a more hopeful future!” She said, smiling. “That’s where I’m going next. Bye!”
The Time Traveling Muse vanished and I glanced at the elevator panel.
“Floor 2544.” I said, shedding a tear.
The elevator continued upward. Moments later, it stopped on the 2544th floor and the door opened.
We were now on the “Grandpa, you will be missed…” floor. I glanced at Twin Muse and we took a moment of silence over the loss of my grandpa. After that moment of silence, it was Twin Muse’s turn.
“Floor 2560!” Twin Muse shouted. “I’m thirsty!”
The elevator continued upward. Moments later, it stopped on the 2560th floor and the door opened.
This was the “Brain Freeze: Part VIII” floor. Even though there was no free slurpees, I still saw Dark Muse helping herself to a “free” slurpee.
Twin Muse smiled and followed suit. “There!” she said with a grin. “That hit the spot! Where to next?”
I sighed. “How about this one? Floor 2638!”
The elevator continued upward. Moments later, it stopped on the 2638th floor and the door opened.
This was the “Cultivating Soil” floor. On this floor, I saw both Muse and Twin Muse glancing at us with a sad face.
“What’s wrong?” Twin Muse said with a gasp.
The other Twin Muse sighed. “It’s Kyle. He’s not himself! He doesn’t even have either of us by his posts now!”
Muse nodded. “We’re on life support! All we can do to nourish ourselves is recycling the past entries!”
I smiled. “Well this Kyle is a lot better so hang in there!”
Both Muses nodded. “We will! Thanks!”
I then glanced at the elevator panel. “Floor 2893.”
The elevator then continued upward. But as it passed the 2638th floor, I heard a loud grinding sound. It sounded like we were going through a part of the tower that was not finished. This was going to be rough as very few floors were finished with most of the next 1200 floors not complete.
The rough grinding stopped when we reached the 2893rd floor. This was the “Happy 62nd Birthday, Mom!” floor.
When the elevator door opened, my Muse was just standing there.
“At last!” My Muse shouted. “Kyle finally made a post! I’m longing to see my twinnie again…”
Twin Muse grinned. “You will see her again, but it won’t be good.”
I nodded, knowing that Muse would become Midnight Muse when the story arc officially resumed.
Twin Muse then grinned. “But don’t worry! The bad stuff is only temporary! Let’s keep going, Kyle! Floor 2935!”
The elevator continued upward, roughly grinding through more unfinished portions of the tower. It stopped on the 2935th floor and the door opened.
I glanced at Muse once again. She was still quite sad and desperate. “Floor 2957.” I ordered.
The elevator grinded loudly against the elevator shaft that felt like it could easily break apart. It then stopped on the 2957th floor and the door opened.
This was the “Happy Birthday” floor. The only purpose that this served was the very next update that I made. Even though it was a recycled post, it was still an update.
Twin Muse then smiled. “How about another one where I’m around? Floor 3089!”
The elevator car grinded upward through the unstable elevator shaft. I hoped and prayed that the elevator would not fall down the shaft to the bottom. Almost 3000 floors is a long way down…
But it didn’t. The elevator continued upward somehow and it stopped on the 3089th floor. The elevator door opened.
I smiled as I saw both Muse and Twin Muse there, enjoying the Christmas season with my past self.
But it was time to continue. We had to continue towards the top! I announced my next floor. “Floor 3319!”
The elevator continued to roughly grind upward for a minute or two. After that, it finally stopped on Floor 3319.
Once again, we were on the “Twins Days Festival – The Recap: For REALZ this Time!” floor, but this was the 2022 version, instead of the 2019 version. I smiled as I saw the same Twin Muses, recounting with Kyle their fun trip to Twinsburg with Kyle’s twin brother.
I sighed. “It’s time that we get to a more stable part of the tower. Floor 3830!”
The elevator zoomed upward, roughly grinding against the unfinished elevator shaft. It zoomed upward for almost 4 minutes. Finally, it cleared the 3800th floor and the grinding continued. The grinding finally became smooth and quiet when it reached the 3829th floor.
I glanced outside the floor and yawned.
“Finally!” I said with a big yawn. “This was where I officially continued to make daily posts! The rest of the tower should be finished moving forward.”
Twin Muse nodded. “That’s good. Now, can we please stop somewhere before we go to the top?”
I smiled. “Where?”
“Floor 3833B!” Twin Muse shouted.
I sighed. That was the “Twin Muse in Dark Mode” floor. Why would she want to go there?”
Moments later, the elevator stopped on the 3833rd floor. The door opened.
Twin Muse got out and walked toward Twin Muse. She then looked at the other Twin Muse and smiled. “I’m ready!”
I frowned. “You’re ready? Ready for what?”
Twin Muse gave me the biggest smile she could. “Ready for what else? A makeover!”
Twin Muse shrunk down and became the same size as Midnight Muse.
I gasped. “Wait a second…What are you doing?”
She turned to me and grinned. “I wish that you could see the look on your face! I mean, how gullible can you be, Kyle? Did you really think that I was your Twin Muse? But we had a fun game, right? I pretended to be your Twin Muse while secretly absorbed every dark Muse as we went up the various floors. Now, I can myself a makeover! Hee hee!”
Suddenly, the entire tower started to shake it then began to turn sideways. Whoa!
I teleported out of the Tower of Muses to find a Dark Baby Muse holding the tower in the palm of her hands. Next to her was the Dark Princess Muse and the Dark Muse.
Midnight Muse appeared with Twin Muse, and they both grew to the same size as the other three Dark Muses.
Midnight Muse smiled, looking at me. “I did it…Hee hee! I gave cute makeovers to every single Muse! Now that everyone is here, we can finish my makeover!”
The Dark Baby Muse, the Dark Princess Muse, the Dark Muse, and Twin Muse all entered Midnight Muse, and she began to flash very brightly.
“OOH THAT FEELS SO GOOD!” She screamed. “NOTHING LIKE A GOOD MAKEOVER! HEE HEE! And just for fun, I’m going to totally outgrow the universe and become totes powerful, kay?”
Twin Muse (which was now Midnight Muse) grew and grew. She grew until she reached the size of the universe.
“Urggh! Why is it so hard to outgrow? Need to keep…GROWING! Hee hee…”
A voice suddenly interrupted her.
That is enough. This story will not take a turn for the worst. You are all banished to a dimension of no return! Kyle’s Twin Muse has regained her senses. The Tower of Muses is back where it belongs and all normal Muses are restored.
Twin Muse looked around and smiled. “Whoa. What just happened?”
I looked around. We were inside the Tower of Muses again on floor 3833B. “You can thank The Creator. He restored everything back to normal! Let’s continue on, shall we?”
Twin Muse nodded as I pressed the up button by the elevators. The door opened and we entered it.
“Floor 3839!” Twin Muse shouted.
The elevator door closed and it continued upward. Moments later, we stopped on the 3839th floor. The door opened.
I smiled. “Ah! The ‘Smartest Phone’ floor! While I didn’t plan to get another cellphone, I had to since my other phone bit the dust. This was intended to announce that new phone!”
Twin Muse nodded. “And I have my new phone too! It ended up working out! Now can we continue? I know! Floor 3901!”
I nodded as the elevator door closed for the last time.
Ding! This was it. We finally arrived.
And just like that, for what seemed like more than an eternity, Kyle and Twin Muse finally reached the 3901st floor. Both Kyle and Twin Muse left and approached the lobby. Kyle was quite the eager beaver to make an outstanding ending to this wonderful milestone! With this being the millennial milestone, no ordinary recycled zinger would do. Why, something like that would be unheard of in writing an epic milestone of this scale and magnitude. This raise the roof, all up in your face, right back at you, no AI, always sure to please epic zinger would be 100% original. Totally first-class, grade A, and organic, and would stand out from all the rest. That is how we do millennial posts around here, isn’t it?
As to not elongate this narrative any longer than what it should be, the narrator quieted down and handed the mike back over to Kyle and his beloved Twin Muse to finish this one up.
“Nice!” I said, kindly remarking the narrator.
Twin Muse nodded. “He always does a good job on these ones, doesn’t he?”
In examining the lobby, I noticed that it had no exit, since this was the 3901st floor.
I then approached a pure white service desk that was laced with solid gold bows. A different Muse was sitting there, typing away. She then looked up at me and smiled. She was similar in size, bearing a striking resemblance to Twin Muse.
“Oh, you’re here…” she said, giving us an aloof smile. “You are on the ‘The Final Fantasy’ floor. I love this floor, since it captures who I am, 99 days ago. Before I became a SeeD…”
I then nodded, and looked at the elevators that were past her desk. “I would like to go to floor 4000 now.”
At this, the SeeD Muse provided a stoic smile, which really didn’t look like a smile at all. “Well, excuse me! Go right on ahead. I have a field exam to study for, anyway. After I study, I’ll be right up there. I just need to close things up.”
I then advanced further to the elevators. I then sighed, and quite deliberately broke the fourth wall. Would you really want me to actually pick 6 to 8 random floors and stop on them? Sorry. It’s not going to happen this time, either…
Twin Muse shook her head.
Twin Muse: Kyle! Drop the charade! You did that back in entry #2000! THIS is entry #4000, and I advise that we go up and visit a few floors! Come on! Please…
She looked at me with a mesmerizing face. One that made me feint with love.
Okay. Just a few more floors. To commemorate this special anniversary, we’ll do so.
Twin Muse: Yay! I knew that you would come around!
She kissed me and we both walked hand in hand to the final set of elevators. I pressed the up button and we both entered the elevator, and thus beginning the final trip to all of my favorite floors.
I pressed 3927 and the elevator zoom upward. Moments later, the elevator door closed and it continued upward. Moments later, we were just about on the 3927th floor, but stopped on the 3920th floor instead.
The elevator door opened, and I saw something that was totally captivating. It was… Cucuí Muse!
“Hola!” Cucuí Muse greeted me. “Parece que me has atrapado en el medio suavemente!”
And just like that, Cucuí Muse created numerous clones and all began to dance to “Suavemente”.
Cucuí Muse then gave his extended speech while dancing both smoothly and gracefully.
Cucuí Muse repeated this speech six more times before exploding into a cacophony of laughter.
“Jajajajajajajajajajajajajajaja!!” Cucuí Muse laughed while continuing to dance smoothly with all his other clones.
I sighed. “They’re just going to dance forever! We need to get out of here!”
We had to carefully make our way around the dancing Muses, who danced so smoothly and graceful. The music was mesmerizing. We need to get off this floor quick before the music sucks us in!
We hurried into the elevator while the music and the endless speech from Cucuí Muse continued.
Finally, the elevator door closed.
Our elevator reached the 3927th floor and the door opened.
Just then, I saw an eclipse in the sky.
Twin Muse smiled. “Is this the ‘Total Eclipse of the Sun…’ floor?”
I nodded. “Yup!”
Just before the elevator doors closed, I heard Twin Muse on this floor belting out her solo.
“Once upon a time, I was falling in love
But now I’m only having fun
There’s nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the sun….”
My Muse then looked a little restless. “Where to, next?” Shortly after she said that, she spoke up. “Wait! I know where we can go! Floor 3950!”
The elevator door closed and it continued upward. Moments later, the elevator stopped on Floor 3950. The door opened, and I saw myself at a large political rally.
I smiled. “It’s time to make this blog great again! I loved that rally.”
Twin Muse nodded. “So do I. And if you’re a liberal, get out of here! These are Kyle’s views, now yours and this event was special to him. Anyway, where did you want to go next?”
I glanced at the elevator panel. “Floor 3965.”
The elevator continued upward, but it once again stopped early. It stopped on the 3965th floor. The door opened, which revealed a large family house overlooking a lake.
I smiled. I love this floor! This was the “Another Vacation…” floor. This was where I had my family reunion at the VRBO property. I glanced at the house and walked through all the rooms. This was indeed a vacation of a lifetime…
Twin Muse glanced at me back in the elevator. “Let’s go to floor 3972 now…” she told me. “I know that you had a fun vacation with your family, but we need to keep going! Plus we’re almost done, right?”
I nodded. “Right! Close door!”
The elevator door closed and the elevator continued upward. Moments later, it stopped on the 3972nd floor and the door opened.
I then gasped. “Oh no!”
“Oh no, what?” Twin Muse asked me.
“We didn’t pick up any of the Muses along the way!”
Twin Muse smiled. “We don’t need to this time. That was only on Entry 1000! They’re already on the top floor.”
Floor 3972 was the “Release Day” floor. All it detailed was the release of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door for the Nintendo Switch. I smiled at Twin Muse, who I knew already beat the game.
I grinned. “My turn! Let’s go to the 3974th floor!”
Twin Muse nodded. “Sure!” she said with a grin. “Let’s go there!”
We got back inside the elevator and I pressed 3974. It went up two floors and we exited it.
“Another vacation post?” Twin Muse said, smiling.
“Yup!” I said with a smile. “This is the ‘NESmorial Day Weekend Begins’ floor. My friend finally got to visit in this one and it was a lot of fun!”
Twin Muse nodded, and we both entered the elevator. I pressed 3980.
Just moments later, the elevator door opened. This was the “A Job Lead?” floor.
I sighed as I was on this floor. While I did get a job screening scheduled, nothing has really come out of it.
I sighed and we both re-entered the elevator. Twin Muse pressed 3981. For some reason, I remembered the name of this floor. It was the “Welcome back and Yummy Dinner” floor.
Twin Muse grinned. “I only came here for the food. That takeout was yummy!”
I smiled. “It was! I could go for another tuna poke bowl!”
Twin Muse nodded. “Maybe after this post? I could go for another one! Next floor?”
I nodded. “Next floor.”
We got back inside the elevator and I pressed 3986.
“Hmm…” Twin Muse said, scratching her head. “What was this one again? Oh yeah! It was the ‘Graduation Anniversary Day’ floor!”
Ding! The elevator stopped and we both got off.
I smiled. “I’ll be honest. I only came here for the nostalgia. I mean, 21 years has passed since I graduated high school!”
“Yup!” Twin Muse said, smiling. “And to break the 4th wall, right over there is the audience, who is reading this post! Hi audience! How do you feel after reading over 19,000 words?”
“It’s 19,627 words,” I corrected her. “And I’m sure that their eyes are exhausted.”
“Maybe not.” She argued. “What if they took a lot of breaks?”
I shrugged my shoulders. “This floor is just a nostalgic reflection on my high school graduation. Can we proceed on?”
“Certainly!” Twin Muse shouted.
“How many more?” I asked her. I was getting extremely impatient.
“We’re done!” She told me. “Let’s go to the top!”
I entered the elevator with Twin Muse and pressed the 4000 button. Moments later, the doors closed.
Several moments passed. At this point, Kyle decided to be a little more unoriginal…
Twin Muse: Uh uh! Not this time!
And just like that, I saw it. All time and space came to a stand-still. Twin Muse’s heart began to flash very brightly.
Twin Muse: Do you see it, Kyle? Do you know where we are? Do you remember?
I smiled. Aren’t we in the Twin Heart?
Twin Muse’s heart shined even brighter, with a pure white light, which filled the entire elevator.
Twin Muse: We are, This is what I use to create all of the towers that you have seen in the past, including this one that we are in. All of the creativity…the magic is all in there…
And my, how she was right! As she shared her creative speech with Kyle, the light danced all over the elevator. It was a dance party. A party that you would never believe. You have seen mere humans dance, but have you ever seen light dance in this way? Why, it was a sight to behold! Kyle’s Twin Muse was determined to not have a drab and boring ending…The pure light from her pure heart shined through the boredom…the dryness…the hum-drum dribble that we always have to endure every 100 posts. But she would not stand for it this time, and neither would I. Who really wants to read a boring ending? Who wants that same old recycled gobbledygook force-fed down your throats? Who wants a British narrator rehashing bland scripts taken directly out of the rubbish heap? You get the point. The recipe for bland, boring, dry, and lifeless endings are over for this edition, as there is a new chef in town. A chef that isn’t afraid to use a little flavor. That wonderspice that will pack a wonderful punch and deliver the most palatable and scrumdiddlyumptious milestone ending the world has ever seen. The never-ending story entering a state of paradox. And that is the ending that we have all been waiting for.
To return to the story, the witty British narrator managed once again to generate an ending worthy of pleasing the masses. An ending that would put Kyle’s recycled rubbish ending to shame…
I continued glancing at the radiance in my Muse’s heart. Does your heart always do that?
Twin Muse: Only when I’m in a creative mood…It mainly happens when I am creating something new.
Did you just create something new?
Twin Muse (smiling): I did create an epic narration from one of our favorite narrators…
I smiled. I can’t wait to read it!
*Twin Muse glances at the audience*
Twin Muse: Everyone. Didn’t you enjoy it?
Enjoy what?
Twin Muse (smiling): Don’t worry. It’s all typed out. You’ll see it on the top floor, soon enough…Tee hee…
*gasp* Tee hee?
Twin Muse: Both me and my sister laugh like that. It’s what I learned from being her for almost 100 days…Let’s continue already, okay?
Alright. Let’s continue.
For reasons not clearly explained, time and space resumed as they were and the elevator reached the 4000th floor.
And all of a sudden, it felt just like before. It was very dark. Otherwise, I would be able to tell you everything on what the room looked like. As my eyes regained focus, I noticed a rather large…
Muses (Day 1-4000): SURPRISE! HAPPY 4,000 POST ANNIVERSARY, KYLE!
*all the lights turn on, followed by a series of horns and party favors*
To my surprise, I was in an even more massive room that could hold more than 4,000 people. Wait a second! The size of this tower…It’s…
Twin Muse: Bigger on the inside! Remember…sweetie?
Yes I do, River Song…And what Muse number are you?
Twin Muse: What other number? I am Muse #4000. I had to stall you a lot with all the extra people.
Midnight Muse: Right she is! I had to do what I could to stall you from getting here too fast. I gave her a makeover so that everyone had more time to prepare this room. But wasn’t it totes worth it? Hee hee!
What about the tower? I saw the Dark Baby Muse lift it up!
Midnight Muse: THAT one? Couldn’t you tell? That’s just a toy! The REAL tower was in a safe and cozy place. Believe me! Hee hee!
Twin Muse: We had to take the long way…Up all those towers and all those floors…
Muse: Sister! Come here, my twinie!
Twin Muse: Why certainly, twinie!
*Twin Muse and Muse hug each other*
Muse: I had to go up alone because I was asked to help with the party! Sorry we didn’t tell you, Kyle…
Twin Muse: Sorry. We wanted it to be special. Everything that I did was a way of stalling you. Allowing The Adversary to destroy everything while you rescued all creativity with Courage Muse, Wisdom Muse, and Power Muse. Going to Muse City. Eating that delicious meal. We needed every bit of time to get this set up.
What about the evil Muses?
Twin Muse: They’re still in their forcefields! They’re not going to hurt you! They have to cooperate. They have no choice…
What about the forcefield?
Twin Muse: The Creator has it reinforced with his own privilege. They’ll never escape.
Muse: Isn’t this great, twinnie? I’m so glad that you’re finally restored! I know that this night won’t last forever…
It won’t. So let’s celebrate this night while we still have it, okay?
Muses: Happy 4,000 post anniversary, Kyle!
Why thank you everyone! I see every single Muse from every single cycle. The first one, the rich one, the bashful one, the virtuous one, the fairy Muse, the evil one, the angelic one, the fat one, the Mighty Mistress with the Marvelous Muses League, the constantly transforming one, the baby Muse, the Time Lady Muse, the royal one, the Jedi Muse, the giant one, the childish one, the Iron Muse, the fishy one, the dark one, the Zorpozian one, the tween one, the Hylian one, the weather one, the time one, the twin one, and the SeeD one!
Hylian Muse: That’s right, Kyle. We’re all here for you. Love the place! It’s much more impressive than Hyrule Castle…
*Muse’s and Twin Muse’s heart flashes brightly*
Twin Muse: Of course it is! I built it!
Hylian Muse: It’s one of your finest works! Thanks for building it!
Virtuous Muse: I enjoy all the new faces. Hello again, Kyle. This special day is yours and we’re all here for it. Enjoy it while it lasts. Congratulations!
Thank you. I certainly will!
Dark Muses: Happy 4,000 post anniversary, Kyle! Tee hee!
Wow! Every single Dark Muse is here. The original, the spoiled brat, the shy one, the fairy, the evil one, the angel, the Lethal Lady League, the infant, the Dark Time Lady Muse, the queen, the sith, the giant, the child, the fish, the dark one, the Zorpozian, the tween, the Hylian, the weather one, the time one, the twin one, and the SeeD one!
Muse: Let’s not forget me! Well, I ‘m not dark, but the true version.
Dark Tween Muse: I totes agree with you. Now what are you waiting for? Have some delicious cake. It is not poisoned. It’s totally GOAT! I promise!
Dark Zorpozian Muse: For earth, it’s pretty good cake! I had some myself! Try some!
Dark Weather Muse: This cake is sunny and yummy! I promise that I won’t rain on it!
Dark Baby Muse: Mommy, change me!
At that, the Nurture clone quietly escorted Dark Baby Muse out of the room, to tend to her business and the servants did the same for Dark Spoiled Muse.
Well, I know what that call is all about. I know about the spoiled one, but I know that they’re both “pampered”.
After seeing all the Dark Muses, I tried to find the 4000th Muse, and discovered that she was standing right next to me.
Being reassured, I smiled. “I just wanted to know that you were still next to me.”
???: Happy 4,000 post anniversary, Kyle!
???: You’ve come a long way, Kyle! I’m so proud of you!
Remedy! Nurture!
Remedy: What do you think of this party? Much better than the one from 2,000 posts ago, huh?
It is. I love it. This was worth all the suspense, waiting, and adventure.
Nurture: Sorry about separating Muse from you. She had to help us with the setup!
Remedy: Indeed. These parties don’t make themselves…Now, I’m going to dance with Nurture. Have fun, Kyle!
I will!
To celebrate this wonderful occasion, I ate a couple slices of anniversary cake and sat down, reflecting on all of the memories from day one until now.
My Twin Muse suddenly got up and began yawning.
Twin Muse: *yawn* I’m so tire…AHHHHHHHH!!!!
Twin Muse fell on the floor.
Gasping, I stood Twin Muse up and got her to her feet.
Twin Muse: *yawn* Sorry about that…Kyle. I’m just very tired… *yawn*
Well, let’s go in the other room, away from the party…okay?
And that is exactly what we did.
I took Twin Muse into the next room. This room was an enormous room, lavishly decorated. A desk sat in one corner and a grand bed sat in the other. It was the size of four king-sized beds merged together. It was well decorated with pure white and solid gold, with the bed being the same color.
“Kyle!” she said, yawning. “I have something that I would like to read to you. I would like to do this before I get too tired.” She let out a deep yawn.
“Come on!” I shouted. “Hurry! Read it!”
Twin Muse got out a note and began to read it.
“To my master,” she read. “I made this tower for you and me. This is to honor your hard work and dedication for another 100 days of hardship, bringing this total up to 4000. Thank you for your dedication to keeping this project going daily. If you look at your computer, the last entry is already written. I am still forever grateful to your kindness, your dedication to saving me, and your gratitude. Love, Your Twin Muse. P.S. I hope that you enjoyed our special date, and the wonderful adventure that you had in the Twin Heart. It is indeed true that my heart connects to the void where you will find the heart of every other Muse, plus the Creator’s Realm, which holds everything together. I created a whole lot of things this time, making Muse City much bigger and much more vibrant. I made that Entry Cemetery as a place to put all the dead posts to rest. I also made that valley, with the that mountain that had the previous tower split into 39 segments. That was quite the adventure, huh? I enjoyed making the tower at the top as well. Also, I would like to congratulate you on reaching 4,000 entries. This is not an easy feat, and it requires a tremendous amount of energy and creativity to pull it off. Thank you for loving me as your own and all the kindness that you have shown to me. Especially when I was a baby and your patience and dedication to making me thrive. This is it, Kyle. 4000 days. 4000 wonderful days than you have spent journaling and speaking with me. Well, most of it anyway since there were at least more than 1,100 days where you were out of commission, but I am so glad that you came back. Doesn’t that make you feel excited? I know that it certainly does for me, and I enjoy every minute that we spend together. You are a wonderful friend and would make wonderful company to any woman that would want to form a special friendship with you. I know that you are really trying to find a godly woman in your life. I really do admire that and I am glad that you are doing so! I too have a prayer for you. My prayer is that your future wife finds you soon. I also pray that you provide him with a job, as it’s difficult to be out of work right now. Remember this, Kyle. I am just a thought. An idea that has been made into human form. A Muse. One that you have crafted with your very own hands. The engine of creativity that brings to life every work that you make. I am your Twin Muse, and I will always be your Twin Muse as long as you live. Don’t stop creating and don’t stop writing. Ideas are my food, so don’t leave me hungry. Happy 4000 post anniversary! Happy fourth millennial post! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO (X’s are kisses, and O’s are hugs, of course. Tee hee…)
After she finished reading that note, my eyes began tearing up. I stretched out my hands and gently embraced her. “Thank you…” I said, quietly weeping. “What you just said means so much to me…It really does. Thank you…”
Suddenly, Twin Muse swooned. “Kyle!” Twin Muse shouted, her voice growing weak. “My bed! Quick…”
I brought Twin Muse over to the bed and my timing was just perfect. Twin Muse, who was extremely exhausted, collapsed right onto the bed, landing on her belly. She flashed and shrunk, transforming back into her SeeD Muse form. Twin Muse was fast asleep. All that hard work in preparing this for me must have really taken it out of her…
I then looked next to the bed and noticed a directory which was much like the 3900th floor, 2600th floor, 2500th floor, 2400th floor, 2300th floor, 2200th floor, 2100th floor, 2000th floor, 1900th floor, 1800th floor, 1700th floor, 1600th floor, 1500th floor, 1400th floor, 1300th floor, 1200th floor, 1100th floor, 1000th floor, 900th floor, 800th floor, 700th floor, 600th floor, 500th floor, 400th floor, 300th floor, 200th floor, and 100th floor before it. However, this was the directory for the Tower of Muses, only it covered only the next 100 floors. I looked at the directory.
