Twin Muse smiled as she focused intently on her gaming session in her room. She was in her house in the Realm of Imagination, playing Super Mario RPG for the Nintendo Switch. She was in the Sunken Ship, fighting Jonathan Jones, the meanest pirate shark to ever grace the seven seas of Mario’s world. She used Super Jump on Jonathan Jones, and was on the verge on getting yet another 100 Super Jumps.
“97, 98, 99, 100, Perfect!” Twin Muse said, screaming with excitement. “My second 100 in just this playthrough alone! My next 100 will be on Director in Smithy Factory and finally on first form Smithy. So far, so good!”
A shadowed silhouette quietly approached the excited Twin Muse, who was still focused on her game. The large 42 inch display that showed the victory screen for having just beat Jonathan Jones. “Nice game, sissy!” She quietly said into her sister’s ear with a smile. “Can I play?”
Twin Muse looked around and entered defense mode. Her eyes furiously darted around the room, trying to find the source of the voice. “W-where are you?” she stammered. “No! You can’t play, Midnight Muse! Get lost!”
The shadowed silhouette became more visible, revealing a black body, complete with a black face with glowing red eyes. Midnight Muse gleefully smiled, as she glanced at her twin, who began to look more and more frightful. “Aw…” she teased. “Sissy not being nice to me? Looks like a fun sleepover! Why didn’t ya invite me?”
Twin Muse pressed the home button on her Nintendo Switch Pro Controller to pause her game, and gave her evil sister a piercing gaze. “Why? Well, first of all, this is NOT a sleepover! And secondly, only ten-year-old girls still do sleepovers! I AM an adult, and last time I checked, I have successfully adulted!”
Midnight Muse maintained her sinister smirk. “Successfully adulted, huh? Adulting is overrated, ya know! I wanna have a sleepover, and we’re gonna have one! I brought all my things and have invited all of my friends! The first thing that we’re going to do is a makeover, so why don’t I make myself at home here? Hee hee!”
Twin Muse quickly backed away, nervously cupping her hands over her lime-colored skirt. “Get away!” she screamed. “I know what you’re trying to do! You’re trying to possess me! Get out of here!”
But Midnight Muse only advanced closer and closer. “Oh sissy…” she said with a smirk. “You know the whole story. Me being neglected at birth. An unwanted bad idea. Sound familiar? You lived your good life and had it good for so long…” a few tears ran down her eyes. “But now it’s my turn! I will replace your existence! I will live the life that I never got to!”
Twin Muse glanced at the shadowy tween, who stood a mere 15 inches shorter than her. For a ten-year-old, Midnight Muse looked more like she was about three and a half, yet she weighed as much as a first-grader. “So you’re going to live your life as a tween? Not in my body!”
Midnight Muse gave her a cutesy smile. “Oh, don’t worry about it! I’m just going to give you a little makeover! Here I come!” Midnight Muse faded into a silhouette and zoomed right into her intangible twin.
Twin Muse gasped as her eyes began to glow a crimson red. “NO! Get out! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!”
Twin Muse’s scream faded as Midnight Muse began to have complete control over her. Twin Muse flashed and shrank down 15 inches, matching the same height as her evil sister. The lime-colored skirt transformed into a cute frilly pink dress. A purple scrunchie appeared around her hair, forming a single ponytail that draped behind her.
“Ahhh…” Twin Muse said with a smile. “That’s the makeover you were talking about. You know what? Stay as long as you want! Why did I ever put up a fight? This makeover isn’t so bad…” The crimson glow in her eyes grew brighter.
A dark shadowy aura appeared around the newly transformed Twin Muse, now inhabited by Midnight Muse, her evil twin. She glanced around, as if she were expecting company. “My fellow friends and BFF’s, the sleepover has officially begun!”
A few other dark flashes filled the room. One resembled a princess, one resembled a giant, and one resembled a clone of herself, only darker. Two of the Muses were the same size as Twin Muse, but one of them was larger.
Twin Muse smiled. “My BFF’s are here! Midnight Princess Muse, Midnight Giant Muse, and Midnight Dark Muse! Ready for a fun sleepover?!”
Midnight Dark Muse (smiling): Am I ever! Midnight Baby Muse is a handful, so I made a clone of myself to watch her. A powerful baby is not easy to watch. Believe me…
Midnight Princess Muse (grinning): Phew! I’m so glad that you didn’t bring HER…This is a sleepover! Not babysitting!
Midnight Giant Muse: I’m ready for some big fun! With my powers equal to yours, I can grow to any size!
Twin Muse smiled, and glanced at the powerful glowing trio of sleepover friends.
Twin Muse (Midnight Muse): So, how are your universes?
Midnight Dark Muse (smirking): Universes? Those are so passé! We made them into Heeheeverses!
Midnight Princess Muse (grinning): Yup! 10,000 universes can fit into just one Heeheeverse!
Midnight Giant Muse: *sigh* Is that all? 1,000,000 universes can fit into MY Heeheeverse!
Twin Muse nodded.
Twin Muse (Midnight Muse): I get it! Now, I want you all to look at me! How do you like my makeover?
All three powerful Midnight Muses gave their nod of approval.
Midnight Muses: LOVE it!
Midnight Dark Muse: Who did you makeover? That loser Twin Muse? You’re Midnight, right?
Twin Muse (Midnight Muse voice): The one and only! It’s so awesome. Twin Muse actually LET me give her a makeover, so here I am. Are we ready for a fun game? Let’s play hide and seek! I am it, so you three can hide!
*(Midnight) Twin Muse closed her eyes and began counting*
All three powerful Muses exchanged glances and smiled.
Midnight Muses (whispering): Let’s hide in midnight!
And just like that, all three Midnight Muses entered Twin Muse. Twin Muse flashed brightly with power.
Twin Muse (Midnight Muse) (screaming): YES! It’s all mine! First of all, this house and room is boring. It’s so…adult…
With just a blink of her eyes, she transformed the room into the ideal room for a ten-year-old. Plushies were everywhere, with some oversized ones. Make up kits sat out, with a pile of colored scrunchies in the corner.
She then could visualize the entire Realm of Imagination.
Twin Muse (Midnight Muse): *sigh* This realm is so adult. It’s all mine now. Hee hee!
In another blink of an eye, the Realm of Imagination transformed into a tween Muse paradise.
Twin Muse then teleported to Midnight Giant Muse’s Heeheeverse and began growing at an exponential rate. She grew until she was the size of the Heeheeverse.
Twin Muse (Midnight Muse): Urgh…!!!!
Twin (Midnight) Muse’s body strained against the boundaries of the Heeheeverse that Midnight Giant Muse created.
Twin Muse (Midnight Muse): Must…outgrow…Heeheeverse!!!!!
Finally, after a few more straining, she successfully outgrew the Heeheeverse, causing it to explode into trillions of pieces…
Midnight Twin Muse: Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee!!!!!!! Thanks BFF’s for giving me all of your power! You are all hiding inside of me so you can come out of hiding now!
The trio all exited the newly powerful Twin Muse (Midnight Muse). When they all flashed, they smiled.
Midnight Dark Muse (frowning): Um, we didn’t give you all of our powers…
Midnight Princess Muse (nodding): Uh uh….You basically made a copy of all of them…
Midnight Giant Muse (nodding): Our powers still work! And you outgrew MY Heeheeverse? That has to make you more powerful than me now!
Twin Muse nodded.
Midnight Twin Muse: It does. I now have my own powers and have just made a house big enough for me. That puny Tween dimension is not even close to my size now…Let’s continue the sleepover!
Twin Muse (Midnight Muse) teleported to her Heeheeverse with her three powerful friends and they began the funnest sleepover of their lives. They made Sundaes, played truth or dare, and gave each other different hairstyles. After that, they all had one big pillow fight.
Midnight Princess Muse: So, what are we going to do now?
Midnight Twin Muse (cheery smile): We’re going to fall asleep to some Romcoms! In the morning, we’re going to do something FUN…There’s this puny universe that this loser named Kyle is in. We’re going to take it and bring it back to my Heeheeverse!
Midnight Dark Muse: What are we going to do with that puny universe after that? Are you thinking what I’m thinking?
Twin Muse, and all three of her powerful tween friends all exchanged glances and smiled.
Midnight Twin Muse and Three Midnight Muses: MAKEOVER!!!!
Midnight Twin Muse (who now renamed herself to Twinight Muse) flashed with a big smile on her face. Even though it was against her weak will, the Twin Muse gave her approval. Midnight Muse was here to stay. The sleepover continued, and the four tweens all giggled through the night, as they excitedly watched a marathon of romcoms until they all fell asleep.
