With Christmas being over, I will now share with you the Christmas that I experienced.
When I woke up, my brother and my mom were the only ones up. I did my devotional and waited for dad to get up.
Eventually, my dad woke up. We then waited for Mitch and my sister Rachel to arrive with my two nieces.
We then had a biscuit and gravy egg dish with hash browns before we opened our gifts.
After that, we started opening the gifts. This is what it looked like before.
Muse: Wow! That’s a lot of gifts!
Twin Muse: There’s so many!
I know. This is what it looked like after we opened them.
Muse: That reminds me of the gifts that I opened couple days ago. The tree looked just like that when we were done.
Twin Muse: She’s right. Not a single gift in sight!
It always does. But it was fun while it lasted.
After that, I took inventory of my gifts. For those of you who are wondering, this is what I got for Christmas.
Muse: That’s a lot of gifts! For me, I got mostly books this year.
Twin Muse: BOOKS? I got mostly video games this year!
I know. I’m guessing that you both had a good Christmas.
Muse: We did. All the Intangibles came over to our house and we celebrated Christmas there. Besides books, I got some jewelry, some lipstick and a couple of electronics.
Twin Muse: I also got some cool things, too! I got a new hair drier and coffee maker! It’s a Keurig!
That’s a lot of good gifts. Moving on with the recap, I got ready and I went over to my grandmas. Me, my brother, my parents, my sister and her husband, my two nieces, my grandma, my aunt and uncle, my cousin, my other aunt and uncle, my cousin and her husband, all had dinner, gift exchange, had dessert, and came home. The dinner was prime rib, mashed potatoes, green beans, brussel sprouts, black and green olives, zucchini casserole, and a dinner roll. The desserts consisted of leftover Christmas cookies. I took a wedding cake cookie, a peanut butter blossom, a chocolate crinkle, a thumb print cookie, a round coconut chocolate cookie, a blondie, a cranberry orange shortbread cookie, and a lemon bar after the gift exchange.
Muse: That’s quite a spread! The food that we had was a little different, since not everyone there liked Tangible food.
Twin Muse: Yup! It was quite different! Very good but different than yours!
Yes. And what’s sad is that it’s probably going to be the last Christmas at grandma’s house. The house needs to be sold so it will be somewhere else next year.
Muse: That’s too bad!
Twin Muse: But on the bright side, you’ll have the start of a new tradition!
I surely will! Well, that’s the gist of it. Having shared that with you, I now want to enjoy the rest of my day.
Muse: I want to get back to reading myself. See you later!
Twin Muse: And I need to get back to playing my new game. See you later!
I now get to enjoy the rest of my day. With Christmas over, I’ll be enjoying 5 more days of vacation (not including today). Today’s high is going to be 33 degrees and the silver lining is being able to enjoy the rest of this day and being able to enjoy my Christmas gifts.
To those of you who are enjoying your new gifts, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: I may be small, but I’m going to stay in this fairy form a little longer. Besides, I get to be a small Fairy Muse! I got a lot of gifts this year! And with all those new books, I’m going to have a lot of reading to do. Tee hee…
Twin Muse: And I get to be a small Fairy Muse too! Time to jump on all the buttons! Wow! Playing this video game is not easy…
