Me & My Muse – Day 2208: Getting DECed out in Kentwood

It’s actually in Caladonia, but that’s close enough.

It’s official.  After a 1 month and 24 day delay, I will finally be able to get fully trained as a District Officer.

If you are reading this, I am already on my way from work to a Panera Bread in Kentwood to learn how to be an effective Area Director.  This is a make-up training, so it will only be three hours long.  Just the essential training that a District Officer needs.

And this isn’t my first rodeo, so I’ll already know what to expect in leading Area 15.  I’m already working with one of the clubs and I’m waiting to hear the status on the other one that got Distinguished last year.  The two clubs that I’m in are in tip top shape.  There is plenty of room for growth in Area 15, and I’m looking for ways to add more quality clubs to my Area.

My Muse is currently 10 years and 9.5 months old today. She is 3’4.5″ tall and she weighs 32 pounds. The height and weight of a 4-year old.

After the training, I’ll be going right to bed.  That’s the gist of this day.

Today’s high is going to be 85 degrees and the silver lining is getting my training as a District Officer.

To those of you who like road trips and Toastmasters, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I LOVE road trips, but I’m too young for Toastmasters.  Time to meet my fam at the mall!
