With it being Saturday now, I am now enjoying yet another day off on this fine Easter Weekend.
And nothing can be better than than engaging in the best form of therapy to cure the COVID-19 blues: Video Games. I will be playing Final Fantasy VIII, and I’m about to get to one of the best parts in the entire game. To give you context for all you outsiders who don’t know anything about the Final Fantasy universe, Final Fantasy VIII has a love story woven into it. One of the best songs in the game is the pop ballad “Eyes on Me”, sang by Chinese singer Faye Wong. This is basically the leit motif, with different variations of this song playing during the exchanges with Squall and Rinoa. It’s a wonderful love story and this song is AMAZING.
Don’t believe me? Listen to the song below, and be convinced.
Having that said, I am going to continue playing this game and enjoy my Saturday off. For everyone else, continue doing something that you love indoors and connect with someone. Anyone. You’ll be glad that you did.
Stay sane, clean, and safe everyone!
Today’s high is going to be 55 degrees and the silver lining is being able to make some more progress on Final Fantasy VIII and listen to the awesome song.
To those of you who like emotionally moving ballads, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: Eyes on Me? I LOVE that song! Did you ever know that I had mine on you…
