The curriculum year, that is. With the Red Year of The Journey Curriculum coming to an end, this will be the last early morning that I’ll be meeting with my group. We will take a summer break and will reconvene in the fall.
I do have mixed feelings with this ending. While I will miss the fellowship and discussion, I won’t miss having to lug around a heavy binder in my work bag. My workstation already makes it heavy enough, so the binder is just a huge paperweight.
Another thing that I’ll miss is the weekly breakfasts at McDonald’s. I may consider having a breakfast at McDonald’s on occasion during the summer. That’s something that I’ll think about.
So that’s the drill this morning. Go to the last Journey meeting and have McDonald’s after that. Then have a very productive day at work. After that, I can take a breather before watching the finale of Survivor. That’s pretty much this day in a nutshell.
Today’s high is going to be 71 degrees and the silver lining is meeting for the Adult Discipleship Group this morning.
To those of you who like meeting with a small group of people early in the morning, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: *yawn* It’s still very early…Just a couple more hours…
