Me & My Muse – Day 1620: The Last Jedi Begins Tonight…

For those of you who don’t know, Star Wars: The Last Jedi begins tonight.   I already have my movie ticket, so that really simplifies things…

Oh yeah.  This is the part where my Muse would be excited about seeing the movie.  But with her in the middle of her childhood transformation cycle, she won’t be able to see it with me tonight.  She is only eight years old, and with the movie being rated PG-13, there will be a multitude of material that would be inappropriate for her little eyes to see.  And with her little body, she would easily pass for a four year old.  She is only 3’2.5” tall and she weighs 43 pounds.  The weight of a six year old.  And even if she could see it, the showtime is at 10:15, which is well past her bedtime.

So…*sigh* Muse, I will see this movie for you.  I will miss seeing your Princess Leia costume this year and your geeked out excitement for what could possibly be one of the most exciting Star Wars movies to date…*sniff* Excuse me…I don’t mean to…OH MUSE, I’M REALLY GOING TO MISS YOU!!! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BE A CHILD DURING THIS TIME?  WHY?!!!

*blows tissue and wipes eyes* I’m very sorry about that.  Anyway, I’m going to miss her Princess Leia buns and the rest of her costume.  Don’t worry, Muse.  We will watch this movie together when it comes out on Blu-Ray.  I will go out and buy it, and we will make it a special night.  And you can wear your Princess Leia costume.  It will be our own little private “premiere” of the movie.  We can pretend it is.  with movie popcorn and everything.  For you, I will do that.  I will even make myself forget everything about the movie with my One Privilege so that we can both be surprised together.  Oh Muse…Don’t be sad.  We will both watch it in a few months…

For today, I work an early morning shift.  As for later, I will be going directly to the movie…WITHOUT MY MUSE!!!  Sorry again.  There would be a brief discussion about the movie with my Muse, but that will wait until we see it in the spring.  There will be a full movie review this weekend as well.  So stay tuned for that.

Today’s high is going to be 19 degrees and the silver lining is seeing Star Wars: The Last Jedi tonight.

To all of you who like seeing a good movie, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  But mooooom!  I want to see it!

Nurture:  I’m sorry, honey.  Both me and your daddy have already discussed this.  We do not think that it’s a good movie for you to see at your age.

Remedy:  Plus you don’t even look like you’re eight!  To a lot of people, you look four…

Muse: But I can go if you both take me!

Nurture:  Honey, it’s rated PG-13.  The answer is no.

Muse:  MOM!!!!
