What? You can’t have corned beef a day early! You have to eat it on St. Patrick’s Day!
Well guess what? We’re having it early, and there’s actually a reason behind it.
The primary reason why we are having the corned beef and cabbage a day early is that I’m having a birthday dinner at my grandparent’s house. This is a makeup for my dad’s birthday, which was all the day back on Monday.
Muse: Time for some corned beef!
Wait! You’re having it early too?
Muse: Why not? You don’t have to have it on St. Patrick’s Day! It’s still St. Patrick’s Day weekend, right!
Right. I guess it doesn’t make much of a difference when you have it. Just as long as you have it some time during the weekend.
Muse: Yup! It’s about done, so I’m going to have some now! Oh, and you should come over later, too… 🙂
I’ll definitely consider that! I’ll probably make it after I have some corned beef and cabbage myself… 🙂
Muse: See you later then!
*Muse vanishes in a beam of light*
To briefly review today, I had an area speech contest for Toastmasters. It was a low turnover, due to Area 16 not having any contestants.
After the speech contest, I got some much needed shopping done. I then went home and rolled some coins. The rest of the afternoon should consist of more story progress, with some delicious corned beef and cabbage later on! Yum! I can’t wait!
Today’s high is going to be 34 degrees and the silver lining is having some corned beef and cabbage later on.
To those of you who like traditional St. Patrick’s Day dishes, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: Mmm! It’s perfect! The corned beef is nice and tender! It’s juicy and it melts right in my mouth! I hope that Kyle remembers about coming over later… 🙂
