Having finished work today, I do have to admit. It feels great to be back.
I got a whole lot done and I was able to catch up pretty quickly. With work done, I will probably take it easy for the rest of the day. Maybe even start on my WDW recap…
In the realm of the unreal, I still…can’t see anything. What is going on?
Hello? Hello? Wake up, sleepyhead! Wake up!
Huh? Who said that?
*wakes up in a bed in a treehouse, and watches a flash of light bounce up and down near the bed*
???: You’re finally awake! You slept long enough!
*wipes sleep out of eyes, stretches, and yawns*
Huh? My voice! I sound like…a child!
???: Of course you are! The Great Deku Tree told me to find a boy without a fairy…
Okay. I get it. I’m supposed to be the stand-in for Link. So that would make you Navi, right?
Navi: Yes! I was about to introduce myself but…that won’t be necessary now! The Great Deku Tree…he…
I know. He senses that something bad is going to happen. I need to find a shield and sword and then gather the three spiritual stones to open the door of time. Please spare me the long and profound speech…
Navi: *sigh* He already told me that you already knew everything that I was about to tell you. This…is crazy! It’s almost like you experienced all this before!
I kind of did, but I’ll save that discussion for another day. Now, I’m going to get enough rupees to buy a shield.
Navi: Regardless of your foreknowledge, I will accompany you!
Go ahead. This journey should be a slam dunk…I’m still getting used to this voice. How old was young Link in the game? Nine? Heck! At this age, I didn’t even write The Brick Building yet! I wrote that when I was ten…Anyway, moving on…
*exits treehouse and begins lifting up bushes and pots that mysteriously respawn when I enter and exit buildings around the Kokiri Forest*
There. I’m going to buy my shield and call it an entry. There’s not much to see here. I’m going to speak to a Kokiri named Mido and tell him to get out of the way so that I can find a sword. I will then speak to the Great Deku Tree and complete a dungeon inside of him to get the first spiritual stone: The Kokiri Emerald.
Time to begin my quest!
Today’s high is going to be 57 degrees and the silver lining is getting a lot of stuff done today.
To those of you who like productive Mondays, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: I had another dream. Kyle woke up in the Kokiri Forest! He escaped the Second Calamity in the far future. He should be on his way soon…
Impa: But the Gerudo man…Ganondorf…He has a charming demeanor, but I sense some craftiness in him. We should depart from the castle soon…
Muse: We will not until Kyle arrives. I dreamt of his arrival and I dreamt of our escape! We do not leave until after Kyle’s visit!
