Me & My Muse – Day 2268: School Daze

Well, it is official.  With the first work day of fall done, I now have time to reflect on the day.  Fall is indeed in the air and today’s temperature is proof.

Today was also Muse’s first day back to school from her summer vacation.  Because of her destructive reign and her world order, school didn’t exist and classes were not held at her Intangible middle school.  With that being the case, School started three weeks late for my Muse.  With that, I’m concerned about the district falling behind for days of instruction.

Well, her school bus is about to drop her off, so I’m going to meet her there!

*teleports to the Realm of Imagination*

There it is!  Her bus is pulling up…

*Intangible school bus pulls up and Muse walks off it*

Muse!  Just finished your first day back, huh?  How was it?

Muse:  *sigh*  It was okay for the most part, but there were these mean girls that kept making fun of my height.  They said that I got on the wrong bus, and that I should be in kindergarten!

Don’t let those girls get to you.  You may look like the size of a kindergartener, but know that you are unique.

Muse:  I know.  My fam told me not to worry about them.  Boldie already told them all off.

Do you have any homework?

Muse:  Not one drop!  Got it all done on the bus.

What about the Intangible district catching up on the days of instruction?

Muse:  Not to worry.  Intangibles learn really fast so our lesson plan had 16 days worth of material.  Time was slowed down so we could learn everything that was missed.  The day felt a lot longer as a result.  At least tomorrow will be a lot shorter…

That’s good to hear.  I’ll let you go inside and talk to your parents now.  I’ll see you around!

Muse:  You too!  Thanks!  Bye Kyle!

*Muse walks inside her house*

I think I’ll head back home myself.

*teleports back to reality*

That’s good that Muse had a good first day.  It looks like her district already took care of all those missed days.

With work done, I will now make some more progress on my story before heading off to bed tonight.  That’s pretty much the gist of today.

My Muse is currently 11 years and 8 months old today. She is 3’6″ tall and she weighs 34 pounds. The height and weight of a five-year old.

Today’s high is going to be 68 degrees and the silver lining is having time to write today.

To those of you who like working on your hobbies,  I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Nurture:  Hi Muse!  Did you have a good day of school?

Muse:  Yes…kind of…

Remedy:  Kind of?

Muse:  Some mean girls picked on me because of my size…

Nurture:  Oh, don’t worry about your size, honey. Chances are you won’t be that big forever…

Muse:  But mom!  I’m only going to be four-and-a-half feet tall as an adult!  I would need a third birth to grow to a different adult height!

Remedy:  Just don’t worry about it.  Your friends stuck up for you, didn’t they?

Muse:  Yeah, they did.  Harmony said that I was fun-sized.  I like that.

Nurture:  That’s right.  Big things come in small packages!

Muse:  They do.  Now I’m going to text my friends and leave another Instagram…

Nurture:  No you’re not.  Homework?

Muse:  Got it done on the bus!  You know me, mom!  I’m an A-student!

Nurture:  Very well.  Let’s talk later, dear!

Muse:  Okay!

*Muse begins texting on her phone as she walks to her room*
