If you are reading this, then you know what’s about to happen. Yup! It’s another NES post!
But what if you’re new to this website and you don’t know what a NES post is? Or what if you forgot what a NES post is? That’s perfectly okay, as I will fully explain the meaning behind this to everyone, both old and new to this site.
Why is it called a NESday? Quite a long time ago, my friend came over to my parent’s place to hang out. Or we would go over to his place to hang out. On the day that he over, it just so happened to be a Wednesday. With it being Wednesday, we emphasized the NES in the day of the week. It became WedNESday. For those of you who are not really into video games, NES stands for Nintendo Entertainment System, a video game console created in the mid 1980’s. Since my brother, me, and my friend all love video games, NES became that umbrella term.
From there, NES spread to other days of the week. Whenever he came over or whenever we came over to his place, it was a different NESday. There was SunNESday, MonNESday, TuesNESday, WedNESday (the original), ThursNESday, FriNESday, and SaturNESday. Every day spent with my friend was a NESday.
Having fully explained that to all of you, I hope that better clarifies what I mean by a NES post or a NESday.
Getting back to the post, both I and my brother are fully packed and are ready to hit the road. Our friend now lives up north, so we will be taking a road trip up there to visit him for the weekend. I will be leaving shortly and should be up there by dinner time. I will be staying there the rest of today and all of Saturday. Both my brother and I will be returning late Sunday morning to beat the winter storm that is expected to hit our area.
All in all, it should be a fun weekend, full of Agent Carter and Nintendo Switch games. I even brought my Nintendo 3DS so I’ll be able to get a little play time in on that… 🙂
So as to not delay my brother, I need to get ready to hit the road. I am all done with my work so it’s time for a NES-filled weekend of fun.
Today’s high is going to be 28 degrees and the silver lining is being able to spend Friday evening with my friend.
To those of you who like to visit friends that you don’t see often, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: You’re visiting your friend? Enjoy your weekend up there! I got some fairly decent weather for you today. Just a little snow and a little wind, so be careful!
