Me & My Muse – Day 2153: Movie and a Wedding

Since the unexpected happened yesterday with my grandpa, I was not able to board the flight to Phoenix to go to my cousin’s wedding.  Instead, I am at home, supporting my grandpa at a time that he needs me the most.  My boarding pass has become a voucher that I can use to fly on a Delta Airlines flight anywhere in the U.S.  But the trip can wait for now.  The priority right now is my grandpa’s health.

From what I heard last night, my grandpa is already improving.  He slept well and was able to stand.  He was also tested for the flu. I will get those results later day from the next update.

Muse:  Is he doing better?

He is.  I don’t have any new information today yet, since all this information is based off of last night.

Muse:  Don’t worry about the trip.  We can go anywhere now.  When he recovers, we can celebrate his recovery at whatever destination we want to go.

That has been pretty hard.  But life comes first.  God comes first.  Family comes first.  All of this is important to consider for anyone who’s married or plans on getting married.  You could be planning a trip and your spouse gets sick.  Or your children.  With what happened this weekend, I consider this an important lesson to be learned.  God and Family comes before anything else.

Muse:  That’s right.  I’m going to get ready.  See you at the movie!

*Muse vanishes in a beam of light*

Knowing that grandpa is doing better, I am going to see a movie with my brother.  It will be Aladdin, so it should be a fun movie.

But you’re all wondering, what about the wedding?  How can he have wedding still in the title?

Much later in the evening, I will be watching the wedding on an iPad at either grandpa’s room in the hospital, the waiting room, or at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.  I may not be there in Arizona, but this is the best front seat that I can get.  Time to get ready now for the movie and watching the wedding later on.

Today’s high is going to be 79 degrees and the silver lining is watching Aladdin and the wedding.

To those of you who have coped with changes before, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Well, I’m glad that we were able to be there for his grandpa.  When one door closes, another opens.  His grandpa doesn’t need to worry about ruining everyone’s plans.  This was God’s plan, and his plans are never ruined.  Time to get ready for the movie!
