Me & My Muse – Day 2479: COVID-19 Isolation – Day 38: Tomato Bisque Tuesday…

With this day all over, it’s time to play a little bit of my game and enjoy some delicious Tomato Bisque.

Okay.  It’s condensed and it’s in a can.  Take heart people.  The normal meals will return as we gradually phase out of the stay at home stage of this pandemic.

How are you all eating?  The best thing to make during this time is comfort food.  You want to be careful with anything that’s fresh as it may have been handled.  If it’s wrapped or covered in plastic, that’s okay.  Just decon the plastic with a wipe and you’re good to go.  For the comfort food, make all your favorites.  Staying inside can be a downer, so try to have fun with the food.  Order takeout every now and then and support your local businesses.  If you get anything from them that’s not a pizza, preheat your oven to warm and cook it for 20 minutes.  That will kill all the COVID germs from the food.  If it’s a pizza.  DO NOT have them cut it.  Order it uncut and cut it yourself at home.  Decon the box with some wipes and get the slices you want.  Throw the box away in the trash bin and decon the counter or stove immediately.  The germs can sit there for 3-5 days so you’ll want to get rid of them immediately.  All in all, that’s my food tips for today.

Stay sane, clean, and safe everyone!  And don’t forget to eat well!

Today’s high is going to be 38 degrees and the silver lining is having the rest of the day to relax.

To those of you who are dreaming about being outdoors in a COVID-free world, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I had that dream last night.  It was amazing.  No sign of the virus anywhere!  Too bad it didn’t come true…
