Me & My Muse – Day 2589: Sunday Miracle and More Pizza

I can tell that a lot of people were praying this Sunday, because it happened.  Church was able to take place on the south lawn at Midland Free.

As I was leaving my place, it was sunny and raining.  Despite that being the case, I just kept going.  My brother followed.  Since yesterday, I found out that my brother could attend church, but he still had to work.  God answered my prayer!

We both arrived at church to light rain.  The rain got lighter as we walked from the parking lot to the south lawn with our chairs.  A mixture of rain and sunlight was felt as we approached the small gathering on the lawn.

And before the service started, it stopped raining.  The sun came out even more and the band removed the tarp from the outdoor stage.  The worship service was underway, as the crowd swelled to around 100 people.  We sang “My Lighthouse” and “Is He Worthy” before sitting down.

Pastor Jeremy gave a sermon called “A Little More Like Piggy”.  He talked about two points.

  1. Receive the Kingdom like a child (like a gift)
  2. Receive the King – Receive the kingdom

After that, the band came back up and we sang a third song called “Revelation Song”.  Pastor Chuck Lloyd then came up for the offertory prayer.  Jeremy closed with a benediction and wished everyone a good day.

I said goodbye to Ryan and offered my gift in the offering container before leaving with the chairs.

Today, I plan on taking it easy before going over to grandma’s later for some pizza with my brother joining after he comes back from work.  I will be picking it up and grandma will be paying me for the pizza.  In the meantime, I will be keeping the sabbath by resting from my work and devoting my time to the LORD.  That is about it for this Sunday.

Today’s high is going to be 89 degrees and the silver lining is being able to worship outside and spend more time with grandma.

To those of you who enjoy family time, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  I’m glad that you were able to enjoy time with your brother and later with your grandma.  I just wish that there was a way to prevent my fate from happening…
