Yup. That’s pretty much what it feels like. Will Toastmasters ever leave me alone? It’s nothing personal. It’s just that my work-life balance is way out of balance right now, and having 101 different activities doesn’t help in the slightest.
Why am I doing this? Only to satisfy my personal development goal for work. Having leadership in a non-profit organization is a good thing to tell the workplace.
This morning, I will go to the Toastmasters TLI and Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony in East Lansing. I will only go to the morning training and then head home after that. I am burned out from the week, and I NEED my vacation.
That’s all. Time to begin my sixth “work day”…
Today’s high is going to be 41 degrees and the silver lining is not having to go to any more activities that are a waste of my time.
To those of you who have ever experienced burnout before, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: *yawn* Relax. After this morning, you have a whole big vacation in front of you! Isn’t that reason enough for you to be happy? Take heart! Your vacation has come. You earned it.
