Today is the day for all nerds to celebrate. At 3:14 p.m., remember to look at your watch! Right when it turns this time, count 15 seconds and you will have pi to 5 places. Today will consist of me having the whole day off. Today, I will have three different pies. The first pie will be a slice of pie at the Grand Traverse Pie Company. The second pie will be a pie. At home, I will have a slice of Chocolate Cream Edwards pie. The third pie will be another dessert. Two Reese’s Big Cups. While they’re not technically “pies“, they are pie-shaped. The fourth and final pie will be a slice of Chicken Pot Pie from Costco for dinner. Having that said, my Pi Day will be celebrated with food.
Today’s high is going to be 49 degrees and the silver lining is celebrating Pi Day.

Dr. Yasumi: How are you feeling?
Shower: ……Ok.
Dr. Yasumi: Take it easy out there next time, understand? Now, it looks like your eyes are focusing. Can you say your name for me?
Shower: Shower. Shower Leoncore.
Dr. Yasumi: Who don’t you take it easy the next time that you’re training? Because you might not be so lucky next time.
Shower: Pshhh…Yeah…right. Why don’t you tell that to Signe?
Dr. Yasumi: That Signe…she won’t listen to anyone. She doesn’t heed the voice of reason. Why don’t you just do yourself a favor and ignore her?
Shower: Ignore…Signe? Like that’s ever going to happen! I can’t just run away!
Dr. Yasumi: So you want to be a totally cool woman, huh? You can, but just don’t get hurt in the process. Let’s see. Who is your instructor? ….It’s Quistan! That’s right! I’ll call him right now. Just give me a minute….
*Dr. Yasumi walks out of the room and dials the number to Quistan*
Dr. Yasumi: Quistan? Dr. Yasumi here. Your student Shower Leoncore has suffered some minor trauma from a sparring session with Signe Almasy. Yes. Yes. The garden faculty has already disciplined her accordingly. And you’re going to talk to her? Okay. Anyway, Shower is fine. She just woke up. Her injury is not that serious. Her wound on her face is still pretty fresh, but it will only leave a scar. Uh huh. Right. Now come by and get her, please.
*A girl walks by and looks into the window of the Infirmary at an injured Shower*
Girl: Shower…..so we meet again.
*Shower looks over at the girl and she walks away*
*Quistan then enters the infirmary and deeply inhales, pleasantly sighing at the sight of Shower*
Quistan: (Ah yes…My poor star student! My favorite girl! Does she know how I feel about her? Focus Quistan! She’s injured! Work on the relationship later…) I just KNEW that it would be either you or Signe! Now let’s go! Today is the field exam.
*Shower stands up with Quistan and they both walk down the hallway*
Quistan: Shower, is there anything on your mind that you want to tell me?
Shower and Quistan: No, not really!
Quistan: HA! Jinx!
Shower: Jinx? Just really! What do you find so funny?
Quistan: Funny? What’s so funny? It’s not that. It’s just that I’m finally beginning to understand my student. That’s all.
Shower: Come on. Do you really understand me? I’m WAY more complex than you think!
Quistan: Complex, huh? Then tell me about yourself!
Shower: Tell you…about me? It’s really none of your….
Quistan: Business! *Quistan bursts into laughter*
*both Shower and Quistan walk to a second story classroom*
Quistan: Good morning, class. I know that we’re starting a little late but I had to go and pick up Shower. To address everyone’s concerns about her, she’s fine. (Of course I am! All she did was knock me unconscious…) Well, to not delay things anymore let’s start with today’s schedule. There seems to have been some rumors flying around since yesterday…Yes, the field exam for SeeD candidates will begin later this afternoon. Those not participating and those who failed last week’s test are to remain here in study hall. If you’re a field exam participant, you will have free time until the exam. Just be sure you’re in top condition. Meet in the hall at 1600 hours. I’ll announce the team assignments there. Any questions? Oh, and Signe! Do NOT injure your partner while training. Be careful from now on.
*Signe looks at Shower and pounds her fist on the desk*
Signe: (Careful? Yeah right! Next time, I’ll be “careful” to leave a bigger wound on that face of hers! Such a kid! I’m surprised that she even knows how to use makeup! Did she put that on HERSELF?)
Quistan: To all you field exam participants, I will see you later.
*everyone leaves the classroom, except Shower*
Quistan: Wait. Shower. I need to speak to you…
*Shower walks over to Quistan*
Quistan: You haven’t been to the [Fire Cavern] yet, have you? You won’t be able to take part in today’s SeeD exam if you don’t pass the prerequisite…
Shower: (Fire Cavern? I know! I had every intention to go to the Fire Cavern yesterday. Spar with Signe and go to the Fire Cavern. I was going to go, but that stupid Signe stopped me…)
Quistan: So Shower? Do you have an excuse? It better be a good one!
Shower: *sigh* Not really…
Quistan: Then let’s get going. If you’re not too confident, just review your studies from the study panel. I’ll be waiting at the [front gate], so come down when you’re ready. You can access the [study panel] from [your seat].
*Shower accesses her study panel and draws out Shiva and Quezacotl*
Shower: Now to conquer this prerequisite…
*Shower runs into a male student and has a conversation with him. She shows the male student all the different facilities around Balamb Garden before leaving for the rotunda and to the front gate*
Quistan: All set? Have both of your GF’s?
Shower: Yes. Let’s get this over with.
*Shower and Quistan walk over to the Fire Cavern, fighting a few monsters along the way*
Garden Faculty: Ready? Select a time limit. Choose one suited to your abilities. Challenging yet reasonable. 10, 20, 30, 0r 40 minutes?
Shower: (……Shiva will totally waste all the monsters inside here.) We’ll make it 10…
