Me & My Muse – Day 266: Taxed to the Limit

With today being one of my days off, I will be working on my taxes.

On another note, I am finished with these Me & My Muses.  This is going to be the last one.

Muse:  No!  It can’t be!

I’m sorry.  But I can’t keep these mediocre entries going any longer.

Today’s high is going to be 58 degrees and the silver lining will be getting my taxes done.

To those of you who are currently working on your taxes, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

And farewell.   It has been a nice 266 days.

Me & My Muse – July 9, 2013 – March 31, 2014

Me & My Muse – Day 265: Short and Sweet 79 – Why am I Still Up?

I guess it’s because I wanted to get a few things out of the way before tomorrow morning.

In other news, I plan on continuing my writing.  I have already finished another chapter for The Tale of Zachary Willowbrook: The School Years.  I also plan to read more.

It’s now time to rest so I will be ready for my annoying Sunday shift at the pizza pit….

Today’s high is going to be 49 degrees and the silver lining will be later on, when this shift is out of the way, and I have two more days off.

To those of you who are trying to reacquaint yourselves with past hobbies, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  *snore*  I wonder if he’s in bed yet…. *snore*

Me & My Muse – Day 264: Short and Sweet 78 – Movie and Work

That about sums it up.  I’ll be going to a movie and working a four hour shift at the pizza pit.

Today’s high is going to be 41 degrees and the silver lining is seeing The Muppet’s Most Wanted.

To those of you who like seeing a good movie, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Another movie?  I heard that was supposed to be good.  Can’t wait to see it!

Me & My Muse – Day 263: Another Opportunity?

It may be a small one, but I’m going for it.  One of my contacts mentioned that there might be some freelancing opportunities available.  It may not be much but hey, it’s a start!

From last night, I have been hiding from the Bratty Dark Muse.  This was one thing that I didn’t want to happen again, and now it is.

Ghost Muse (whispering): And now it’s not.

You’re here?

Ghost Muse:  Shh!  Remedy has another cure.  And this one’s stronger than ever.  Now Remedy!

Remedy:  Time for your dose of medicine, brat….

Muse:  No mommy….I don’t wanna take the yucky medicine…. *snore*

Ghost Muse:  She’s out.  I know that she is.  She looked like that the last time she was in a coma.  I’m going in!

Another respite from the spoiled rich brat.  Thanks Remedy.

Remedy:  Anytime.  I’ll tell the other Intangibles that they can come home now.

Muse:  Huaahhhnnn…..She may have been in a coma, but I still have to wake up in this body.  I’m way too big and these clothes don’t suit me at all.  Kyle, could you please step out of the room for a while?

Sure.

Muse:  You can come back in now!

What are you going to do with a gigantic mansion?  Especially with that giant-sized bed….

Muse:  I’m not done yet.  I’m turning everything back to normal.  I’ll send you back outside now.

There.  I hope that work will buy my excuse.  I was trapped inside the Realm of Imagination, so I couldn’t work.  I don’t think they’ll buy it, will they?

Today’s high is going to be 44 degrees and the silver lining is having that freelance opportunity.  I will also be meeting with my job search contact to discuss a refined strategy.

To those of you who love to see opportunities come out of the blue, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  There.  My house is back to normal.  I hope that Kyle finds something soon….

Me & My Muse – Day 262: Oil Change

It’s official.  The Intangibles have finally stopped appearing.

How did that Dark Muse fare in bargaining with that brat?

Muse:  Tee hee hee hee hee!!! Rather well!  You adults don’t have a lot of money, or toys either!

Wait.  Are things even worse now that she’s in that body?

Muse:  I want more toys now!  And I want to be much bigger!  Tee hee hee hee hee!  Wheeeeeee!!!!

Yes.  They are.

Muse:  You look like a toy!  A very EXPENSIVE one!  Tee hee!

No!  I’m not a toy!

Muse:  Yes you are, silly!  You’re so realistic and lifelike.  No other toy of mine can do that.  I want that toy now!

Great.  That Dark Muse has merged with that brat.  Now she’s a spoiled little brat!

Muse:  Who are you calling “little”? I’ve grown up!  Tee hee!

You’ve grown up, all right.  But physically, not mentally.

Muse:  Come to my room now!  I want to play with you!

*gets teleported to gigantic room*

Whoa!  This room would already be big, even if I were normal-sized!  At my size, the floor is a vast field that seems to span on forever….

Muse:  Now I’ll play with you!  Wait!  You’re too small!  Why can’t you grow bigger?  Grow bigger now!

Intangible Servant:  Little Miss….

Muse: Ahem!

Intangible Servant:  I mean, Big Little Miss….It’s time to change you….

Muse:  When I come back, I will find a way to make you bigger.  Then, I will play with you!  Tee hee!

Great.  Not only did that Dark Muse merge with that brat, but I’m now trapped in her mansion.  Haven’t I experienced this already?  I now have to experience it with a spoiled “little” brat!

Today’s high is going to be 40 degrees and the silver lining is getting my oil changed.

To those of you who also have to get an oil change, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Make sure you use the gold ones!

Intangible Servant:  But of course, Miss!  Now, let’s get you out of that damp one and into the next solid gold one.

Muse:  And make sure that all my dresses are made of solid gold thread and diamonds!

Intangible Servant:  Last time I checked, they all were, Miss.

Muse:  And make sure all my teddy bears are covered in diamonds and rubies!

Intangible Servant:  We haven’t done that yet, Mi….

Muse:  Do it now!  I want them all to look pretty!

Intangible Servant:  Somebody has heard your request and is working on it as you speak, Miss!

Muse:  Tell them to do it faster!  And change me faster!  I want to make that expensive toy bigger so I can play with it!  Tee hee!

Me & My Muse – Day 261: Short and Sweet 77 – Invasion: Part II

The droves of Intangibles are still appearing, but in smaller numbers.  That brat is going to pay.

Dark Muse:  Pay?  You better believe she is!  She didn’t wanna play with me!  She’s such a meanie!

Well, look at you!  You’re just a kid!

Dark Muse:  Who cares?  You’re just a boring adult!  Remember? I’m gonna have a talk with her.  She may be a stupid adult, but she’ll listen.  Tee hee!

Listen to someone like you?  This should be interesting.

Ghost Muse:  What’s going on?  Oh.  It’s you.

Dark Muse:  I’m not afraid of no ghosts!  Most kids my age are, but I’m NOT!

Ghost Muse:  Just go away!  You have given me so many bad memories….

Dark Muse:  Don’t worry.  You don’t have a body anymore.  I’m not interested in you.  But I’m going “home” now!  Bye!  Tee hee!

Ghost Muse:  What is she up to?

She’s going to have a “talk” with the bratty Muse.  I don’t think that will fare well, since that brat won’t give her any time of day.

Today’s high is going to be 29 degrees and the silver lining will later, when I am done working for the day.

To those of you who are trying to get out of your part-time jobs, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  What did I tell you?  I don’t have time for children!

Dark Muse:  Just let me stay!  You would make the perfect mommy.  You won’t regret it.  I promise!  Tee hee!

Muse:  You get one chance, child!  You blow it and you’re gone.

Dark Muse:  Thanks!  Tee hee!

Muse:  What are you doing?

Dark Muse:  I’m going “home”!  Tee hee!

Muse:  Home?  But I thought….Stop it!  Stop….

Muse:  There.  Tee hee!  I’m home!  And there’s no toys!  I want toys, now!  There.  This is going to be so much fun.  Tee hee….

Me & My Muse – Day 260: Invasion

Since that bratty Muse kicked everyone out, the Intangibles have been appearing here in droves.

Darkness: Who does she think she is, banishing me here?

Pleasure: And why did she get rid of me?  I would’ve been the life of the party!

Prudence:  What she did was not a smart thing at all.

Wisdom: It wasn’t a wise thing, either.

Friday: She even banished me: The best day of the week!

This last night has been annoying.  Thousands of Intangibles appearing every hour.  I haven’t been able to get any sleep!  They all can’t stay here!

Intangibles:  Why not?!

Well, there’s a great big world around here.  Why don’t you explore that and find a new home?

Prudence:  I don’t like that idea.

Wisdom:  Besides, she’s going to buy this world soon, so where are we going to live?

I see your point.  *sigh*

Ghost Muse:  Take heart, Kyle.  He’s working on another batch.

Remedy is?  I hope he has it done soon.  I can’t have millions of Intangibles living at this house.  We need to put that brat back into dreamland.

Well, more keep appearing, and I’m losing my patience.  That stupid Muse is going to pay for this.  Not you, of course.

Ghost Muse:  I know.  She’s going to pay.

Well, it’s time to get this show on the road.  The high for today is going to be 26 degrees and the silver lining is having today off.

To those of you who can finally get a breath of fresh air, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Dark Muse:  Why did she do this?  It looks like I’m at his place.  But this place is too crowded!  I’ll stay here for a while, but I won’t live here!  That dumb Muse will see eye to eye with me.  Tee hee….

Me & My Muse – Day 259: Short and Sweet 76 – Light at the End of the Tunnel

Just four more hours at the pizza pit, and I’m home free.  Tomorrow’s entry will be longer.  I promise.

Today’s high is going to be 27 degrees and the silver lining will be tonight, when I’m done working.

To those of you who hate their job, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Jobs?  I never had to work a day in my life!  Work is for peasants….

Me & My Muse – Day 258: Short and Sweet 75 – Sunday is Tuesday

With my work schedule being all weekend, I have decided to make Tuesday my Sunday.

Today’s high is going to be 24 degrees and the silver lining will be tonight, when I’m done working at the pizza pit for the day.

For those of you who have to work all weekend, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Work?  Rich people like me don’t have to work!  Poor pitiful peasant….

Me & My Muse – Day 257: Short and Sweet 74 – So Tired….

These Intangibles are driving me crazy.   All day and all night, more and more keep appearing in large numbers.  This bratty Muse has gone too far.

To make a long story short, I’m just going to be working for four hours at the pizza pit.  After that, I can relax.

Today’s high is going to be 35 degrees and the silver lining is later, when I get through this day.

To those of you who are fighting fatigue, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  This Intangible realm is starting to run out of room to put my things.  It’s only a matter of time before I buy the Tangible world.  Ha ha ha ha ha!!!

Me & My Muse – Day 256: Spring Fever – Part II

Do I have some kind of cold, or something?  Actually, I don’t.  I just thought that it would make a fitting title with it being the second day of Spring….

Ghost Muse:  Kyle!  It happened again!  That bratty Muse is back and she kicked me out of my body!

Don’t you mean her body?

Ghost Muse:  Yeah.  It’s her’s, but she doesn’t deserve it.  She also kicked me out of the Intangible realm.

Kicked you out?  Why?

Ghost Muse:  She bought the whole realm.  Everything.  She owns it all now….

Muse:  What do you mean I don’t deserve my body?  It’s mine.  Not yours.  Live with it, peasant!

That may be so, but the Intangible realm doesn’t belong to you.

Muse:  Yes it does.  I just bought it.  Anyone who is not rich will be booted out of my realm.  With all the extra room, I greatly expanded my mansion.  It’s the size of a city now.

A mansion the size of a city?  Just listen to yourself!  You booted out a bunch of Intangibles that have every right to live there!

Muse:  They have no right, because I bought it from them.  They got the money.  I got my realm.  Where they live is not my problem.

It should be, because you have now made a bunch of new enemies.

Muse:  Them?  Ha!  I have the perfect security to ward them off!

So you have the whole realm.  Just what are you going to do with a whole realm to yourself?

Muse:  It’s going to become my home.  When my mansion’s complete, it will span the whole realm.  At that point, I will need to acquire your Tangible world, as I’ll be running out of space very soon.

Try it.  No world leader is going to let you have our world.

Muse:  They will, if the price is right.

Then where would everyone live?

Muse:  Where I tell them to.  They would all become my slaves.  Slaves working on the largest garden ever.

Ghost Muse:  Enough!  You are not keeping that Intangible realm!  It’s my home!  And yes, you may own that body, but you don’t deserve it!

Muse:  Yes I do!  Shut up, peasant!

Ghost Muse:  Make me, you spoiled brat!

Muse:  Such insolence!  I am having my breakfast now.  A breakfast that none of you would ever be able to afford.  Ta ta!

Ghost Muse:  If she is going to take my home, I’m just going to haunt her.

She deserves it.  Go ahead.

Remedy:  This is getting bad.  I can’t live in that realm anymore!

You can live here for now.

Remedy:  Do you have room?  Because it’s only a matter of time before every lower income Intangible is booted out.

I don’t know.  What are we talking?

Remedy:  We’re looking at millions.

What?  Millions?   Put that on hold for now.  I need to get ready!

Remedy:  Go ahead.  Me and the “real” Muse will be in the other room.

Ghost Muse:  Talk to you later, Kyle!

This is getting bad.  There is only 44 more days before the Muse becomes something different.  Hopefully, she will be something better….

Today’s high is going to be 40 degrees and the silver lining is getting paid today.

To those of you who love pay days and the somewhat adequate temperatures, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Those filthy rich Intangibles may live in my realm for a while.  What they don’t know is that they will soon become my slaves.  Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!

Me & My Muse – Day 255: Short and Sweet 73 – Spring Fever

Another busy day makes another short entry necessary.

While it is the first day of Spring, I am quite busy.  I have a job application to drop off and a speech contest to plan for.  Someone will be dropping off their refreshments for the contest and I will be delivering them.

Today’s high is going to be 38 degrees and the silver lining is having the day off.

To those of you who are glad that it’s finally Spring, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Now I’ll….No!  Not now!  …..I was just getting used to this body! ….Don’t!  This was originally mine!  You don’t deserve it!  You spoiled rotten brat!  You are not going to….No!  I won’t let you have it!  It’s my body!  It’s….my body!  You can’t….have….it………AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Me & My Muse – Day 253: Short and Sweet 71 – Corned Beef Leftovers

To sum up last night, the corned beef was good and so was the cabbage.

And to summarize today, it’s just going to consist of the usual job search and a Toastmasters meeting.  I already applied for one job so I’m off to a good start.

Today’s high is going to be 40 degrees and the silver lining is getting more job hunting done.

To those of you who love leftover corned beef, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I love corned beef!  I have so much of it that it will last me all the rest of this week!

Me & My Muse – Day 252: Lucky Day

Why is it lucky?  Here’s why.

http://www.examiner.com/images/blog/EXID1827/images/shamrock.jpg

It’s also lucky because I don’t have a lot to say today.  I have a pretty busy day and I need to get started.  I work at the pizza pit and I have a Toastmasters Meeting tonight.

Today’s high is going to be 26 degrees and the silver lining is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.

To those of you who are wearing green, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Wait!  You’re not wearing green….I’ll let you get a shower first.  I won’t pinch.  I promise!

Me & My Muse – Day 251: No Turning Back, No Holding Back

This afternoon, I experienced history in the making at my church.

But to really experience it, you would’ve had to have been there yourself.  All I can do is reflect on this event that has taken place.

And to reflect, I can’t help but mention the Lord Jesus, who was the center of David Bryant’s “Christ is NOW” series.  In these nine weeks, I have experienced the spectacular supremacy of Christ, and who he is TO us, FOR us, OVER us, BEFORE us, WITHIN us, THROUGH us and UPON us.

And after today, I am convinced that Midland Free will never be the same again.  They can’t, after the entire church has experienced the fullness of Christ.  With the entire congregation, I recited a prayer that will serve as a compact for the church.  In the compact/prayer that I recited, it confessed all the selfish acts that everyone was guilty of doing at one point.  Selfish acts like using Jesus to serve my own desires and plans.  Using Him as a blessing machine to bless what I’m doing.  Having a self-centered and shallow relationship with Christ, intending Him only for personal benefits with little thought of sharing in Him as a child of God.  All of this was confessed as one body.

The next part of the prayer were promises that I made with the whole congregation.  He was treated as a mascot instead of a King.  This too, was confessed as a body.

The most important part of the prayer was what got my attention.  No Turning Back.  If anyone in that congregation who was there goes back on this,  they have shown themselves to not be a true servant of Christ and the truth is not in them.  These three words are important to me as a follower, and now, proclaimer of Christ.  For those who were with me who meant it in their hearts, Christ has conquered us.  And we all together will proclaim his purpose.  To exalt His name, extend His reign, enhance His fame, increase His gain and magnify His claim.

Having said the prayer with the congregation, I celebrate the truth with Christ.  It doesn’t matter what it costs or where I will be taken.  I belong to Him and live for Him alone.

Muse:  Amen!

Thank you for not interrupting.

Muse:  How could I?  What you said was so important.  I had to wait for you to finish.

Thank you for waiting.  This is something that I could not hold back,  no matter how long I waited.

Muse:  And I’m glad that you shared it.

Now I would like to talk more, but I need to get ready to go over to my friend’s house.

Muse:  Well, if you have to go to your friend’s house, don’t keep him waiting!

I’m not.  He said that I could come anytime.

Muse:  That’s good.  I now need to prepare for my company.  Bye!

To summarize what I said, there is no turning back.  As an individual, anyone could fall short of keeping this promise.  But through the grace of God, the promise will be kept.  If I am truly His, He will protect me from going any other direction than the direction that He wants me to go.

For today, I will be going to my friend’s house.  After that, I will shop for some cereals.  Going to church today and going to my friend’s house in a little bit is this day in a nutshell.

Today’s high is going to be 21 degrees and the silver lining is experiencing today’s worship service and going to my friend’s house.

To those of you who have ever been asked to uphold an important promise, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Eeek!  She’s almost here and this place is a mess!  I need to clean this place, and fast!

Me & My Muse – Day 250: Short and Sweet 70 – Early Shift

Well, early for me, at least.  I work from noon to six at the pizza pit today.

Today’s high is going to be 32 degrees and the silver lining will be later, when I am done for the day.

To those of you who start work early, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  At least it’s not early in the morning.  Anyway, good luck!  You’ll get through it….

Me & My Muse – Day 249: Easy as Pi

How is today so easy?  It can be expressed in the form of pi.  With today being 3/14, I will be expressing the first 1,000 digits of pi:

And if that isn’t enough, I even have someone singing about it.  Here’s a YTMND of Kate Bush singing π.

Muse:  To celebrate, I’m baking a pi pie!

Have fun with that.  For me, I’ll just be observing it. Time to get ready….

Muse:  Time to bake my pi pies.  I’m baking 3.14 of them exactly….

Today is the day for all nerds to celebrate.  At 3:14 p.m., remember to look at your watch! Right when it turns this time, count 15 seconds and you will have pi to 5 places.  I work at the pizza pit and I plan on getting my hair cut.

Today’s high is going to be 44 degrees and the silver lining is celebrating Pi Day.

To those of you who love nerdy holidays, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399….I love Pi Day!

Me & My Muse – Day 248: Short and Sweet 69 – Applying for another Job….

I’m making this short, since I’m going to fill out an application for Senior Services.  Once it’s finished, I’ll turn it in.

Today’s high is going to be 27 degrees and the silver lining is having this day off to get some things done.

To those of you who like to get things accomplished, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Let me know when you turn it in!  I will now begin my to do list….

Me & My Muse – Day 247: Short and Sweet 68 – Enough with the Snow!

Really.  I have experienced more snow in one winter then what I would want to experience in a lifetime.

As usual, I work for four hours at the pizza pit.  After that is a Toastmasters open house at the library.

Today’s high is going to be 25 degrees and the silver lining is tonight’s open house.

To those of you who are absolutely sick of the snow, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Just stop snowing!  I’ve had enough snow already….
