With work done for today, it’s time to cut a corn field, I mean, the back lawn.  Well, the grass is so long that you might as well call it a cornfield.

Anyway,  today is the day to cut it, considering all the rain that we’ve had lately.  I will cut it and then settle down after that.

Work was stressful and exhausting today.  I applied for two more jobs and…that’s all I have.

If you were one of the victims with a flooded basement, hopefully this isn’t the case anymore.

For me, all we had was water to sop up from some window wells that overflowed into the basement.

Now for work.  It felt a little busier than usual.  Everything got done, but it was quite hectic.

With my friend inviting me over to his house, I’ll be going over there today.  We’ll have pizza, watch more netflix, and play some more on the 3DS. That’s pretty much this day in a nutshell.

It’s my friend’s birthday today, and he’ll be coming over to hang out.

To reflect, work went smoothly.  I left and did my errands in town.  Pick up a birthday card, buy some ice cream and other groceries, and get home quickly before the ice cream melts.

When my friend comes, I’ll celebrate with him and my brother.  We will do the usual, but it might be different today, since it’s his birthday.

After that, it’s time to prepare for Monday.  That’s pretty much this day in a nutshell.

Today’s high is going to be 66 degrees and the silver lining is it being my friend’s birthday and him coming over.

Considering that twelve and a half hours was devoted to the training that I went to yesterday, I get all of Sunday to enjoy.

I went to church this morning, got some groceries, and had breakfast with my grandparents.  The remainder of the day will follow with winding down and getting ready for the next day.

This morning, I am leaving for GVSU Downtown. The whole day will consist of the Toastmasters TLI. From the training, I will be going back home. That is all.

When it rains six inches nonstop, this is what happens.  Ladies and Gentlemen, breath a sigh of relief.  We have all survived the Flood of 2017.

When I went off to work this morning, the back driveway wasn’t just a pond.  It was a lake.  There was so much water that I got my shoes all wet trying to get into my car.  On my way to work, I fortunately did not encounter any standing water.

To sum things up, my morning was very productive.  I got a lot done and a lot of business was made.  I’m sure that a lot of it had to do with the flood.  And to everyone with a flooded basement, I feel you.  Mine was a little flooded, but nothing was underwater.  It was just the window wells.

 

Muse:  I hope that you’re doing okay.

What?  No Dark Sith Lordess Muse?

Muse:  I’m dropping the act today.  This is not a time to play my sinister part.  This is a serious matter, and it must be addressed first.  I will give it at least the weekend, and I’ll return to hunting and annihilating every last Jedi.

Not if I, Remedy, Luke and the other Jedi stop you!

Muse:  Let’s save it for Monday, okay?  Besides, I still need to rehearse my later parts.  Time to go reflect on this.  If you need me, I’ll be in my room, okay?

Some flood, huh?  Anyway, I need to get ready for tomorrow morning and enjoy the rest of my Friday.  That’s the plan for today.

Why is it chill?   It’s not because of the weather, but chill for a totally different reason.

This Thursday is chill since I don’t have any Toastmasters meetings tonight.  For my typical months, I have Toastmasters meetings for the first three Thursdays.  After that, the fourth Thursday comes along where there is no Toastmasters meeting.  This is relief, since I’ll be able to get some much needed reading done.  I will read some more What Color is Your Parachute and revise my job-hunting strategies.  It’s more than just applying.  You need to know someone that works there if you want to get in.  Headhunters also work, if you have done something very impressive that has attracted the attention of a prospective business.

Today’s high is going to be 84 degrees and the silver lining is having the remainder of this Thursday to unwind.

To kick off the first day of summer, I was able to get everything done at work.  Everything went quite smoothly.  With that done, I dropped off my Jobs For Life application, had an iced Mocha at Live Oak Coffeehouse and came home.

My friend came over early, so hanging out with him will be fun.

Terrific in the sense that it’s not 8:30 in the evening when I’m typing this!

Having that said, the 15-hour shift is done.  The first 9 hours of that was worked yesterday and the last 6 was worked today.  I know that it’s technically 3 shifts but with there being so little time between working last night and working this morning, if felt like I was still on the clock.

To celebrate my terrific Tuesday after work, I cashed in all my loose change and finished filling out the application for Jobs for Life.  This was supposed to be handed in today, but was delayed due to some unforeseen circumstances, but I digress.

The celebration will continue with a Toastmasters meeting tonight and a dinner at Taco Bell afterward.  That is pretty much this day in a nutshell.

To celebrate Father’s Day a day early, I will be having dinner at my grandparents.  My family and both my uncles will be there.  All and all, it should be fun.

Besides that, I’ve been enjoying my day off…

 

Muse:  And I will be enjoying myself as well, with my training coming along nicely…

I know.  Your Jedi training with your raised Midi-Chlorian count, right?

Muse:  Wrong!  My Sith training!  The Galactic Empire is in the final stages of being rebuilt.  The Jedi training camp has been destroyed, with a few Jedi killed, but the rest of them escaped!

How could you?

Muse:  How could I not?  I just couldn’t resist the power of the Dark Side…Now, I need to locate the whereabouts of Luke and the other remaining Jedi.  They all must be disposed of, as they are the biggest threats to the Empire…Farewell!

Luke:  I think that I know what is going on with her.  A friend has filled us in.

A friend?

???:  The Dark Muse tainted her.  She planted a dark seed inside her…

Remedy!

Remedy:  She is not the only Intangible that knows the ways of the Force.  I am a Jedi Master myself.

You are?

Remedy:  Indeed.  I was a student of Master Yoda before Luke was even born!  Now, the Dark Muse entered her and left her body.  That left her imprint inside her.

Luke:  So with that, she lost control of herself and went to the Dark Side…

Remedy:  Correct.  There is a way to save her, but we need to be careful.  The Empire has been rebuilt and is at large…

I would imagine.  Muse used her Jedi powers to do this, right?

Remedy:  Wrong!  I believe that she forgot to give something back to you.

She did?  You don’t mean?  Oh no…The Master’s Privileges?  The ones that she acquired when she was Tee Hee Girl?

Remedy:  Yes.  She forgot to give them back to you.  Because of that, she is using those privileges to rebuild the entire Galactic Empire!

Well, she doesn’t have the One Privilege, and I will see to it that she won’t summon the Dark Baby Muse to get them either…

Remedy:  That shouldn’t be an issue.  They are locked in a dimension that can’t be unlocked.  Your One Privilege is the only one that can unlock it.

They?  Oh yeah.  That Dark Baby Princess Muse is there too…

Remedy:  Anyway, we need to get a move on.  I will head back to the Resistance’s headquarters with Luke.  The rest of the surviving Jedi are there.  Report here when you’re ready.  We can’t let the Empire succeed…

Luke:  We’ll get her back, Kyle.  Don’t worry.  See you there!

Once again, the Dark Muse is up to no good.  And it seems like she has the same intelligence as the Dark Damsel.  My Muse needs to get back to normal and the Empire must be stopped.

Time to get ready for the day.  The dinner is a little bit later.  After that, I will be taking it easy at home.

Work was really draining today.  With it being the end of the school year, business is picking up.  But with some good teamwork, I managed.

Now I’m tired.  I’m going to look at some job postings and hopefully apply for something.  I hope that something happens soon.  I have a lot to offer whoever wants to have me as part of their team.  More on that when I discuss the Flower Exercise in the not so distant future  (it will be soon, I promise).
