Me & My Muse – Day 1636: Closing Up the Year

For starters, the chopped spinach for the spinach dip is continuing to thaw for tomorrow so I can make it today. What remains is watching this year’s Christmas.

In having the whole day off, I’ll be able to relax.  I will return to work an opening shift on January 1, 2018.

That’s the gist of it. Time to get ready and watch that footage.

My Muse is seven and a half years old today.  She is 3’1.5″ tall and she weighs 39 pounds.  The height of a three year old and the weight of a five year old.  For tomorrow, she will be four, almost five year old.  She will be 2’10.5″ tall and she will weigh 31 pounds.  The height of a two year old and the weight of a three year old.  I am telling you this, since my post will be very short tomorrow.

Today’s high is going to be 16 degrees and the silver lining is being able to reflect on 2017 and everything that has happened this year.

To those of you who are reflecting on 2017, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: *flushes toilet*  2017 was a good year. So many M&M’s!  And it’s going to end good with me being a fairy now. Tee hee!

Me & My Muse – Day 1635: End of Year Friday Finale

With work done for the week, I can work on my end of year checklist.  Having reviewed it, I don’t think that it will take too long to work on.  I will also buy some ingredients to make some spinach dip for New Year’s.

My Muse is six years old today.  She is 3’0″ tall and she weighs 34 pounds.  The height of a three year old and the weight of a four year old.

Time to get started on the checklist.

Today’s high is going to be 16 degrees and the silver lining is being done with work for the weekend.

To those of you who are making snacks and working on things to do before 2018, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I can’t stay up for New Year’s…

*Muse transforms into her adult form*

Muse:  But I can if I do this!  I’ll make a clone of my younger self and put her to bed.  Then it’s time to party like it’s 2018!  Tee hee!

Me & My Muse – Day 1634: End of Year Checklist…

Since I’m a little tired tonight, I’m going to cut this short.

Tomorrow, I will be able to enjoy another weekend before the new year.

And that end of year checklist? Pretty much all of the items need to be worked on. There are a few things that I want to get done before the end of 2017. I have to write my one-year bible reading plan for next year on the calendar. I have to pay the last credit card bill of the year and I have to find all the highlights for 2017.

Besides that, I will have dinner a little later, play a little of my game, and go to bed.

My Muse is seven years old today.  She is 3’1″ today and she weighs 37 pounds. That’s the height of a three year old and the weight of a five year old.

Today’s high is going to be 12 degrees and the silver lining is being able to enjoy some time off later.

To those of you who still have to finish up things for 2017, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: I’m having a lot of fun with my toys that I got for Christmas!  *transforms into her adult form* Time to read another new book. End of year checklist? I have one too! Fortunately, mine is pretty short. Tee hee!

Me & My Muse – Day 1633: Time for Fun

I just learned something today.  Lunch rushes during winter break on a Wednesday can be unbearably busy.

Well, that’s done.  And I really need a hug.  It really helps to cope with all the stress…

My Muse is now four and a half years old.  She is  2’10.5” tall she weighs 31 pounds. The height of a two year old and the weight of a three year old.

Time to relax now.

Today’s high is going to be 12 degrees and the silver lining is being able to take a breather after a long day.

To those of your who are enjoying yourself on this Wednesday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Nurture:  Again?  Honey, I just gave you an M&M.  Here’s another one.  Good girl!

Muse:  My doll went too!  Does she get an M&M?

Nurture:  Yes honey.  Good for her!

Me & My Muse – Day 1632: Christmas Aftermath

With Christmas being over, I will now share with you the Christmas that I experienced.

When I woke up, my brother was the only other person up.  I did my devotional and waited for everyone else to get up.

Eventually, my parents woke up.  After that, we started opening the gifts.  This is what it looked like before.

Muse:  Wow!  That’s a lot of gifts!

I know.  This is what it looked like after we opened them.

Muse:  That reminds me of the gifts that I opened couple days ago.  The tree looked just like that when we were done.

It always does.  But it was fun while it lasted.

After we opened gifts, we had an egg dish for breakfast.

After that, I took inventory of my gifts.  For those of you who are wondering, this is what I got for Christmas.

Muse:  That’s a lot of gifts!  For me, I got mostly books this year.

I know.  I’m guessing that you had a good Christmas.

Muse:  I did.  All the Intangibles came over to my house and we celebrated Christmas there.  Besides books, I got some jewelry, some lipstick and a couple of electronics.

That’s a lot of good gifts.  Moving on with the recap, I got ready and I went over to my grandparents.  Me, my brother, my sister and my cousins all had dinner, had dessert, and came home.  The dinner was prime rib, mashed potatoes, zucchini casserole, black and green olives and spinach salad with pepe, corn, craisins and feta cheese.  The desserts consisted of mostly cookies, pumpkin roll and assorted candy.  Some chocolate dipped pretzels and some other desserts had to be taken home, since they were made with coffee.  I just took a a little bit of everything.

Muse:  That’s quite a spread!  The food that we had was a little different, since not everyone there liked Tangible food.

Well, that’s the gist of it.  Having shared that with you, I now need to get ready.

Muse:  I need to ready myself.  See you later!

My Muse is eight years old today.  She’s almost nine years old.  She is 3’2″ tall and she weighs 41 pounds.  The height of a four year old and the weight of a five year old.

I really need to get going so I can enjoy what’s left of my day.  Having worked already this morning, I wasn’t able to enjoy my gifts like everyone else.  Today’s high is going to be 9 degrees and the silver lining is having the rest of the day off and being able to enjoy my Christmas gifts.

To those of you who are enjoying your new gifts, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I may be a child, but I’m going to stay in this fairy form a little longer.  Besides, I get to be a child fairy!  I got a lot of gifts this year!  And with all those new books and toys, I’m going to have a lot of reading to do. And a lot of playing!  Tee hee…

Me & My Muse – Day 1631: Merry Christmas!

Once again, it’s the most wonderful time of the year.  This is, without a doubt, my most favorite holiday.  Christmas morning.  Now it may be early, but I’m up and ready to open my presents.  My parents may still be sleeping, but I’m excited.  If it’s any part of me that has never grown up, it’s the part of me that acts four on Christmas morning.

*Muse appears, and transforms into her child self*

Muse:  For me, that just happened.  I am so excited!  Tee hee!

But for Christmas, how excited are you?

Muse:  I’m very excited.  Tee hee!  Part of me wants to squeal with excitement, but I will spare you that since I don’t want to wake up your parents.  I’ll do it quietly instead.  *whispering*  Yaaaay!!!!

*Muse transforms back into her adult self*

I can see that one part of you hasn’t grown up either.

Muse:  Who EVER grows up on Christmas morning?  When I wake up on this day, I feel like I’m five again.

*Muse transforms back into her child self*

Muse:  Actually, I feel more like I’m four.  Adulthood can wait for one day, can’t it?

It can.  And you’re actually closer to four and a half.  Here.  Up you go…

*picks up Muse with ease*

Wow.  You’re only 2’10.5” tall and you weigh 31 pounds.  The height of a two year old and the weight of a three year old.

Muse:  But I’m FOUR!

I know.  You’re just very small.  Oh.  And where’s your Frozen underwear?  I didn’t feel you wearing them when I picked you up…

Muse:  Mommy said that I couldn’t wear them.  Not until I can make it to the potty again.  I didn’t make it to the potty ‘cause I was sleeping.  Mommy is not up yet and she still needs to change me…

Don’t worry about that.  Children your age usually have accidents every now and then.

Muse: I won’t worry!

Oh..And I see that you’re cozy with your footie pajamas…

Muse:  I am, and I’m not taking them off.  They feel comfortable and they keep me warm.  You’ve worn them before so you should know, right?

Right.  Getting back to what you said.  Adulthood can wait on Christmas.  Whatever memories I have had when I was younger, they all return on this day.  Now this may differ for some people.  But for most, they can feel some aspect of their childhood calling back…

Muse:  Yes.  And some people fight it and repress it.  They try to hide it, but this is unhealthy.  Everyone.  If you feel excited on this day, don’t hesitate to let it out.  Listen to your memories and set them free.  Remember your youth, and how fun Christmas was for you.  Your memories only want to remind you of this.  Listen to them and recapture the moment.  Take a step back in time.  Christmas only comes once a year!  Tee hee!

I totally agree.  But remember.  There is another side of Christmas.  A side that some people don’t pay attention to.  Christmas is not about presents and Santa Claus.  It’s about the birth of Jesus Christ.

*Muse transforms back into her adult self*

Muse:  Yes.  I also look at the Advent Season when I celebrate this time of year.  We need to know why we give these gifts.

And we do.  What can we give to God what he doesn’t already have?  All we can give to him is ourselves.  And while we can’t give anything else to him, we give gifts to others to show our love and appreciation for them.

Muse:  I also think of the Charlie Brown Christmas Special.  It’s the only special where we hear the true meaning of Christmas.

Yes.  Linus quotes the Christmas story found in Luke.  Matthew refers to the Wise Men delivering gifts to the baby Jesus.

Muse:  What were these gifts for, anyway?  I understand the symbolic meaning behind them.  I believe they were used to pay for the trip to Egypt.

It probably was, for they had to flee from Herod, since he issued orders to kill every firstborn male baby.  Jesus is the reason for the season.  He was born to be the perfect sacrifice.  To bear the sins of humanity so that we may live.

Muse:  It must have been a heavy burden to bear all that.

It was.  Today is indeed a joyful day.

*Muse transforms back into her child self*

Muse:  Should we make him a birthday cake?  I don’t know what frosting he would like!

I think he would be happy with any frosting.

Anyway, I want to wish everyone who is reading this Merry Christmas.  Whether you celebrate one side, both, or don’t celebrate Christmas at all, understand that this is a very special day.  Most importantly because Jesus was born on this day, both for you and for me.  And from this day, many traditions have developed.  The most popular one being the exchange of gifts.

The high today is going to be 21 degrees and the silver lining is celebrating the birth of Christ and the opening of presents.  My parents are still not up.  But when they are, it’s present opening time!

To all of you who celebrate Christmas, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Merry Christmas, Kyle!  My company just arrived so I’ll see you later!  Tee hee…

Me & My Muse – Day 1630: Twas the Day Before Christmas

…and all through the house

Kyle’s got no work so there’s no need to grouse

His Santa cap was sitting on the bedpost with care

Reserved just for Christmas to be crowned on his hair

Kyle’s in the midst of his three-day vacation

Just three whole days of rest and relaxation

Then out of the oven before they get black

I will feast on few a Christmas snack

Then to herald the evening such a sight it will be

When he attends the Christmas Eve service at Midland Free

Then off to my grandma’s house with plenty of cheer

A gathering with snacks.  The company’s near

My aunt and my uncles, my grandparents too

Just two of my cousins, all this I knew

The gathering warm, the noises were loud

The snacking and chatting from a sizable crowd

The day will be merry, the night will be bright

With plenty of snacks on this cold winter night

Then when I get home, I’ll don my PJ’s quick

So we can see a good Christmas flick

Then after that, it is on to tradition

My brother and me must carry out our mission

The door will be closed, the room filled with heat

When we both watch The Miracle on 34th Street (1994)

Following that, it’s off to bed

Visions of CDs and games will dance in our heads

Looking at this, that’s all I have to say

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good day

Muse:  Christmas is tomorrow!  Eee!  I’m so excited!

I know!  Today is the day I can finally take a breather.  With it being Saturday, I don’t have to worry about going to work…

Muse:  All my things are done too.  It’s only a matter of time…I’m so excited!  Tee hee!

Wait. You’re a fairy? Why are you a fairy?

Muse:  I love this form! And it goes so well with Christmas. You know how that is. Tee hee!

Well, if it makes you happy, go ahead. What about being a child?  Are you going to abandon that for Christmas?

Muse:   Not necessarily.  I will still follow my 100-day cycle and be my younger self.  You might see me being a younger fairy for a couple days.  And I talked to the Dark Muse a little earlier.  She won’t bother me this year.  If she does, I told her that I would turn her into a gnat!

That’s good to hear.  Today is going to be exciting.  It will be a day to relax before the excitement tomorrow…

Muse:  I’m going to shower.  Be back in a bit!

Okay.  I need to shower myself.

My Muse is finally younger today!  She is five, almost six years old.  She is 2’11” tall and she weighs just 32 pounds.  The height of a two year old and the weight of a four year old.

Today’s high is going to be 24 degrees and the silver lining is watching the movie with my brother later tonight.  This day is going to be quite fun.  I have today and tomorrow off from work.  For today and tomorrow, I’ll be in vacation mode.  It will be a day of snacking, relaxing and visiting with the family.

To all of you who love having a couple days off, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Tee hee!  I can’t wait until tomorrow!  I wish I could open my presents early!  Eee!  I’m so excited!  Tee hee…

Me & My Muse – Day 1629: All Aboard!

If Tom Hanks was a train conductor, this is what he would be shouting outside your house on Christmas Eve.

Now what would Tom Hanks be doing here?  Your train has arrived.  You stopped believing in Santa Claus so you are now greeted by a magical train.  A train bound for the North Pole.  Make your decision quick.  The train conductor is very strict about being on time and he is not going to wait for you another minute.

If your decision was yes, then welcome aboard.  You are on The Polar Express.  A special service offered to help kids who have any lingering doubts about the man in red.  The ride is free, and every kid will meet Santa before he takes off to deliver his gifts around the world.

Tonight, I will be seeing this movie.  If I have said it before, I will say it again.  This movie gets better and better every time you see it.  It’s magical and nostalgic.  Can you remember your childhood memories about Christmas?  This movie will bring them all back, because you, the viewer, are riding that train with them.

*Muse transforms into her adult form*

Muse:  So you’re seeing the Polar Express?  I LOVE that movie!  Tee hee!  Rather than seeing it alone, I think I’ll join you.

Please do.  Just remember, miss.  The conductor does not like to wait.  We want to start the movie ON TIME and end ON TIME!  We have a tight schedule to keep tonight…

Muse:  Okay, Tom Hanks.

Besides that, I have the day off.  Tonight, I’ll watch the movie.

My Muse is once again eight years old today.  Is she just going to stay eight for the rest of the 100 days?  Anyway,  she is 3’2.5″ tall and she weighs 42 pounds.  The height of a four year old and the weight of a six year old.

The high today is going to be 31 degrees and the silver lining will be watching The Polar Express tonight.

To those of you who love reliving your childhood memories through Christmas Movies, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  To gear up for the movie tonight, I’m brewing up a a large pot of HOT CHOCOLATE!  Hot hot!  Oh, we got it!  I love that movie.  Tee hee!

Me & My Muse – Day 1628: The True Meaning of Christmas

Since I’m running out of time, I’ll cut to the chase.

I work a morning shift and then I’m going right home.  In the evening, I will watch The Nativity Story with my brother.

Muse:  That is a good movie.  I plan on watching it myself…

My Muse is eight years old again today.  She is 3’2.5″ tall and she weighs 44 pounds.  The height of a four year old and the weight of a six year old.

I will now get ready.

Today’s high is going to be 34 degrees and the silver lining is watching The Nativity Story with Ryan.

To those of you who look forward to Christmas, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Oh yeah!  There’s one more gift that I forgot to wrap!  Better finish wrapping it now…

Nurture:  Muse honey!  Where did you go?

Muse:  Uh oh…I better wrap this quick!

*Muse runs into her room and begins wrapping gift at a fast pace*

Movie Review: Star Wars: The Last Jedi

http://images.fandango.com//mdcsite/images/featured/201701/star-wars-the-last-jedi.jpg

(SPOILER WARNING:  For those who have not seen The Last Jedi, I strongly advise that you stop reading this review.  This review will contain numerous spoilers from the movie.  The rating will be spoiler-free, so skip to the end if you want no spoilers.  You have been warned.)

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away….

Have you ever been told a really good story?  And then, in the middle of the story, the one telling you it suddenly stops.  It may have been a bedtime story from when you were little, or one that a really good friend has told you.  They start telling you the story, and then stop.

After that, for what seems like ages, they finally continue with their story.  As a kid, waiting a whole day to hear the next part may seem like ages.  Or your friend may have been out of town for a while.  When they finally get back, they continue with the story.

You get the point.  This story I’m referring to is a story of good versus evil.  The light side versus the dark side of the Force.  Jedi masters versus Sith lords.  It started in the middle.  It continued with the beginning.  And now, after two years, the story finally continues.  This is the wonderful and amazing story of Star Wars.

And if it’s been a while since you have seen a Star Wars movie, here’s a brief refresher.  Actually, I’m not going to rehash the first six episodes plus the continuation from two years ago.  If you want the refresher, click here to read it from my review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens that I did two years ago.

And after two years, the story continues.  Rey has found the whereabouts of Luke Skywalker and is looking for answers.  Hopefully Luke can provide her with them by training her to become a Jedi.  Maybe then the Jedi line would continue and would spell new hope for the galaxy.  This is the premise of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the next sequel released by Lucasfilm Ltd. and Walt Disney Studios.

To start things off, Star Wars is an epic space opera centered around a film series created by George Lucas.  From its humble beginnings and phenomenal success, it has become an iconic franchise.  In just the merchandising sector alone, the Star Wars brand is worth more than $30 billion,  with $6.44 billion coming from the seven films alone.  It is a cultural phenomenon that has started with the first film and has continued to this day.

But with George Lucas selling the franchise to Disney in 2012, a wave of uncertainty has come across many of the fans.  I for one am curious as to what move Disney is going to make.  Where is Disney going to take the franchise?  Rian Johnson is the director of this next Star Wars installment.  How does Johnson handle Star Wars: The Last Jedi?  Is the Force strong with this movie, or has this second movie in the new trilogy turned the franchise over to the dark side? Let’s find out.

The movie begins with the Resistance fighters evacuating their base.  This charge was led by General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher).  Just after that, a First Order fleet arrives.  After a counterattack led by Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), the vessels from the Resistance go into hyperspace to escape.  But their escape was cut short when the First Order pursues their whereabouts with a tracking device.

Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) destroys the support fighters from the Resistance, but stays his hand when he spotted the lead Resistance ship.  He hesitates to fire after sensing his mother’s presence.  TIE fighters destroy the bridge of the ship, killing several Resistance leaders and placing General Leia in critical condition.  Following this unfortunate event, Vice Admiral Holdo (Laura Dern) was placed in command to lead in place of Leia.

Poe, Finn (John Boyega), BB-8, and mechanic Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran) expressed disapproval of Holdo’s passive strategy, and all began on a secret mission to disable the tracking device.

Meanwhile, Rey (Daisy Ridley) arrives on the remote planet Ahch-To with Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo) and R2-D2 aboard the Millennium Falcon to recruit Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) to the Resistance.  But Luke refused, having experienced the failures of the Jedi.  Rey finally convinces Luke to train her.  He told her that it would only be three lessons.  While Rey is learning from Luke, she begins to hear Kylo Ren and they begin to have conversations with each other.

Will Rey listen to Kylo Ren or will she listen to Luke?  Having seen a similar incident with Anakin Skywalker, Rey is very vulnerable.

And what about Finn and Rose’s secret plan?  Will they succeed in carrying it out?  What will the Resistance do with no new place to hide? Watch the movie and find out.

In looking at the length of the movie, I thought that it was pretty balanced. The typical Star Wars movie is about this length, with the pacing being just right.  The plot progresses at a smooth pace, helping us to take in all the new scenery and characters.  And with the ending of the movie, you know that there’s going to be another Star Wars movie.  Episode IX is slated for release in 2019.  The classic Star Wars score was great to hear again.  After all, it is the same one that scored all the other Star Wars movies.

In looking at the characters, I loved the variety. A number of new characters made a return.  I loved seeing Rey and Chewy from the last movie.  Seeing Leia was again amazing, and RIP Carrie Fisher.  This movie was a tribute to you and you will be missed!  I loved Luke’s role and it was fun seeing more of him.  There was also Finn and Poe from the last movie as well.  Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong’o) also made a cameo appearance.  And the female stormtrooper Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christe) also made a return.  And let’s not forget Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis), the leader of the First Order.

There were also a couple of new characters that were portrayed quite well.  We have Rose Tico, which complemented Finn quite nice as her companion.  There is also DJ (Benicio del Toro) which had a very interesting role.  Is he friend or foe?  Or is he both?  Who knows?  The two words that come to mind is “Don’t Join”.  I’ll let you figure out what that means when you see the movie. With the new characters, they’re a wonderful addition to this sequel and I liked the place that each one had in telling this wonderful story.

And what can I say about the nitpicks?  Perhaps the only thing that I would’ve wanted to see was a little more closure with Luke Skywalker.  We get a brief scene at the end.  But maybe make it a little bit longer.  Besides these nitpicks, this movie was brilliant.  The next amazing new chapter in the Star Wars saga.

How did Star Wars: The Last Jedi do?  Having reviewed the recent box office results, it’s doing phenomenal.  While it’s not performing as high as The Force Awakens, it’s still doing pretty well.  This movie grossed $104,684,491 on opening day.  The second highest opening day total of all time.  On top of that, it grossed $45 million for the Thursday preview. With it currently being the seventh highest grossing movie of the Star Wars series, I am confident that it will get up there.  Maybe at least secure the number two spot behind The Force Awakens.  In rounding up the numbers from the past trilogy,  Episode I grossed a $64.8 million weekend gross.  Episode II grossed $80 million and Episode III grossed $108.4 million.  For The Last Jedi, the weekend domestic gross is a staggering $220 million, just behind of The Force Awakens $248 million from two years ago.  The current domestic gross is $278.7 million.  In adding the foreign gross of $295 million, the worldwide gross stands at $573.7 million.  That pales in comparison to the $172.8 million that Revenge of the Sith made six days into its release.  That’s over a $100 million difference between the two domestic totals. With a production budget of $200 million, it has made more than that in just one weekend alone.  And that’s just domestically.  This movie is well on it’s way to cracking the top ten, and could reach near the $1 billion mark by this weekend.  Casting my few nitpicks aside, I really loved this movie.  I loved the continuation of the story and how it defied my expectations.  Johnson did pretty good with this movie.  He nailed it.  The force is strong with this movie, and it’s about to get stronger as many other others continue to see this movie. I would see it again, thus adding $7 more dollars to its total gross.  Star Wars is Lucas’s baby and Disney knows this. And with the franchise in Disney’s hands, I am confident that they will successfully continue the legacy that George Lucas has started.  I eagerly await the wonderful finale with Episode IX and I give Star Wars: The Last Jedi a 5 out of 5.

Me & My Muse Go To the Movies #9: Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Part II

Okay.  It’s been almost a week since we saw the movie.  Are we going to talk about it, or what?

*Muse transforms into her adult form*

Muse:  Yes.  I’m ready.

You slept in quite a bit today, didn’t you?  Until 1:00 in the afternoon if I can recall correctly…

Muse:  There’s a reason for that.  For the past few nights, I kept having these nightmares about Snoke.  I was Rey, and I was cornered…then he force slammed me against the wall and Kylo minced me into pieces with his lightsaber…

*sigh*  Is that the only reason?

Muse:  Yes.  I know…It’s pretty dumb, isn’t it?  I have these dreams a lot in some of the mystery books that I read…

Well anyway, let’s get to the movie.

http://images.fandango.com//mdcsite/images/featured/201701/star-wars-the-last-jedi.jpg

Let’s begin with first impressions.  What did you think of the beginning?  There was a scene where the Resistance was fleeing their base and running from the First Order’s fleet.

Muse:  I loved the beginning.  The title crawl was pretty good.  The events pretty much picked up right after The Force Awakens…

After that, the Resistance escapes, or did they?  The First Order found them pretty quickly, even when they jumped into hyperspace…

Muse:  Yeah.  I noticed that.  They can actually track the Resistance, even when they go into hyperspace?  This really worried me.  It’s over.  The Resistance is going to get wiped out…

But there could be some hope for them yet.  Shall we revisit Rey and Luke from that ending scene?

Muse:  The epic ending scene where Rey gives Luke his lightsaber?  Yeah.  I liked how they reshowed that.  And then…Luke tossed it aside?  Come on!  That’s not the Luke I know!

It actually is.  Luke is fed up with training any more Jedi.  After what happened with Kylo Ren, that was it.  It was time to end the Jedi for good.

Muse:  Maybe not.  There’s still Rey…

That’s if Rey decides to follow the ways of the Force.  Did you see all the conversations that she had with Kylo Ren?

Muse:  Yeah.  But that’s…Oops!  Can’t mention that!  That would be a spoiler!

The pacing was good, and with the way that movie ended, I’m curious about how the movie will continue.  Will Episode IX have a new generation of resistance members, and possibly Jedi?

Muse:  Maybe.  I would love to see more Jedi…I can’t wait until Episode IX!

I can’t wait until Episode IX either.  Now the ending,  I really loved the ending.  Luke…

Muse:  Shhh!  Don’t mention the ending!  That was totally epic but a lot of people still haven’t seen it…

Very well.  This will be mostly spoiler-free.  But be fairly warned.  In my review for this movie, there will be spoilers.  Lots of them.  So much so that the review will be prefaced with a spoiler warning.

Muse:  That’s fine.  With having an informal discussion about the movie, I want to make sure that we don’t spoil it for everyone…But yeah.  The ending is really really good.  Tee hee!

Overall, I give the movie a 5 out of 5.  It was a little bit below The Force Awakens but it’s still very epic and action-packed.  It was a really good sequel that continued the saga with Rey, the Resistance, and the First Order.

Muse:  5, huh?  That’s a little bit generous.  I give it a 4.5 out of 5.  For it to earn that extra half star, it really has to grow on me.  And over time, it will.  I know that it will…

Thanks for your comments on the movie.  With that, I will definitely have to see it again.

Muse:  See it again!  I know that I will!  So you’re seeing it again?  I think that I’m going to…And my Princess Leia dress needs to be washed.  It’s stained with popcorn seasoning from nearly a week ago.  See you tomorrow…

I’ll let you do that.

That’s it for the discussion.  Stay tuned for the review!

Until then, I’ll see you shortly for the review!

Me & My Muse – Day 1627: Christmas Haircut

Today has been quite efficient and good.  I worked my shift and got my haircut.  I then did a little grocery shopping and went home.

With tomorrow fast approaching, I’m going to call it a night.

My Muse was eight and a half years old yesterday.  She is closer to eight years old today.  She was 3’2.5″ tall yesterday but is a half inch shorter today.  She weighs 40 pounds today, three pounds down from yesterday.  The height of a four year old and the weight of a six year old for yesterday and the height of a three year old and the weight of a five year old for today.

I will now get ready for tomorrow.  As promised, I will watch my Muse sing at her student choir tonight.  It should be fun, knowing that Christmas Canon will be one of the songs that she will be singing.

Today’s high is going to be 30 degrees and the silver lining is getting my haircut today.

To those of you who like having shorter hair, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I’m just about ready.  I hope that I don’t sing off key.

Nurture:  You’ll do fine, honey.  You’ve been practicing a lot.  I know that you’ll nail it…

Muse:  Thank you.  Time to warm up my voice…Mimimimimimi

Me & My Muse – Day 1626: Long Day

Today was long day.  Long day over.  I relax now.

Today’s high is going to be 28 degrees and the silver lining is being able to relax after a long day.

To those of you who have ever had a long and stressful day at work, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Long day?  Well I just had my last day of school today!  Christmas vacation starts now!  I’m going to watch a bunch of Christmas specials!  Yay!

Me & My Muse: Day 1625: More Footage and Christmas Toast

To cut to the chase, I plan on watching all the remaining Christmases today.  Tonight, I will also be going to a Toastmasters meeting.  That is pretty much today in a nutshell.

My Muse is once again eight years old.  She is 3’2.5″ tall and she weighs 44 pounds.  The height of a four year old and the weight of a six year old.  Since I’m busy, the discussion on The Last Jedi will have to wait until tomorrow.

Today’s high is going to be 42 degrees and the silver lining is being able to watch some more Christmas footage.

To those of you who like attending Christmas parties, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I’m almost done with my Christmases too!  It’s kind of weird watching my older Christmases as an eight year old.  I guess I can remember them a little bit.  Am I really going to be like this when I’m older?  My memories…they’re fading in and out…

Me & My Muse – Day 1624: Christmas Footage Marathon

Christmas of ’94 is almost done.  After that, I will be able to watch some more footage.

My friend may come over today if my brother doesn’t work too late.  That’s pretty much this day in a nutshell.

My Muse is once again eight years old.  She is 3’2″ tall and she weighs 41 pounds. The height of a four year old and the weight of a five year old.

*Muse appears in a beam of light and transforms into an adult*

Muse:  What about talking about The Last Jedi?

Don’t worry.  We’ll talk about it tomorrow.

Muse:  Okay.  Time to watch some more footage!

Same here.  Time to get that going…

*Muse vanishes in a beam of light*

Today’s high is going to be 38 degrees and the silver lining is being able to watch a bunch of Christmas footage.

To those of you who like reflecting on memories, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Let’s see.  I watched all the Christmas through age seven.  Time to watch my eighth Christmas.  How fitting!  I even get to look the part!

*Muse transforms back into her child form*

Me & My Muse – Day 1623: More Christmas Memories…

In going in accordance with what the title says I will be watching some more Christmas footage today.  I still have to finish the Christmas of 1994, so I need to get started on that.

My Muse visited me yesterday, so that was pretty fun…

Muse:  Hey Kyle!

So you’re an adult again?  I know that you were doing The Last Jedi, but what about your transformation cycle?

*Muse transforms into her child self*

Muse:  Don’t worry!  I can change to my adult form and back anytime I want!  I can go from this age…

*Muse transforms into an adult*

Muse: …To this age!

That’s nice and all, but aren’t your parents going to know that you’re missing?

Muse:  They won’t.  I have a child clone of myself at home.  She’s been very obedient and I’ve been playing with her a lot.

So how old are you today?

Muse:  I’m still eight!  I am 3’2″ tall and I weigh 42 pounds.

That’s the height of a three year old and the weight of a six year old.

Muse:  I know.  I’m practically in third grade and I still wear a 3T!

So, are you going to watch your Christmas footage?

Muse:  I’ve already done some of that!  I’ve been watching it with my younger clone.  It’s been quite…

*Muse turns back into her younger self*

Muse:  Fun.

What happened?

Muse:  It’s the transformation cycle.  It’s hard to maintain my adult form for too long.  Time to change into my adult form again.  Should be good for another couple minutes…

*Muse changes into an adult*

Muse:  There.  I’ll see you around.  I’m going to watch some more Christmas footage!

*Muse vanishes in a beam of light*

I’m going to as well.  Time to get started on that!

Today’s high is going to be 31 degrees and the silver lining is being able to watch some more Christmas footage.

To those of you who like Christmas memories, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Should I tell Kyle that I have a  One Privilege now?  Naw…I’ll let him figure it out soon enough.  Tee hee…

*Muse flashes brightly and changes back into her child form*

Me & My Muse – Day 1622: Christmas Movies, More Footage and a NESday

With this busy week done, I can finally wind down and enjoy some more Christmas movies.  One of them is one that I usually watch at the beginning of this month.  The 1955 adaptation The Miracle on 34th Street.

In addition to that, I still need to watch some more Christmas footage.  With nine days left, I really need to get going on that.  I am on the Christmas of 1994 and I would like to watch all the rest of the footage before Christmas.

I will also either be going to my friend’s house or he will be coming over here, so that should be fun.

My Muse is still eight years old today.  Like Thursday, she is 3’2.5” tall and she weighs 43 pounds. The height of a four year old and the weight of a six year old.  I’ll have to visit her later on today.

Today’s high is going to be 24 degrees and the silver lining is being able to enjoy some Christmas movies and memories.

To those of you who like Christmas movies, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  There.  I made a whole snowman family and surrounded them with my snow angels!  Time to visit Kyle!

*Muse generates clone of herself, flashes, and grows into her adult self*

Muse Clone:  What do I do while you’re gone?

Muse:  You pretend to be me so that mom and dad don’t suspect anything.  Okay?

Muse Clone:  You mean me as eight years old, right?

Muse:  The you that you currently are.  Yes.

Muse Clone: Okay!  Time to make a snow house for this snow family!

*Muse Clone begins making snow house while Muse teleports to reality*

Me & My Muse – Day 1621: Jedi Hangover

What do you get when you stay up until one in the morning and wake up at five in the morning?  You get a Jedi Hangover.  It’s really just a headache.  The movie was good, but the next day side effects aren’t.

Okay.  The headache really isn’t as bad as I’m making it out to be.  Now I’ll get to the movie…

That’s strange.  My Muse is not responding.  I’m guessing that she’s still sleeping.  We’ll discuss the movie when she’s awake.  I promise.

My Muse is still eight years old today.  She is 3’2″ tall and she weighs 41 pounds.  The height of a four year old and the weight of a five year old.

Today’s high is going to be 26 degrees and the silver lining will be having the weekend off.

To all of you who have experienced next day headaches,  I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

*Muse flashes and turns into an adult in her sleep*

Muse:  *snore* No…Snoke…Stay away…AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Me & My Muse Go To the Movies #9: Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Part I

I just got back from the movie, and…

Muse:  We’re not doing this.

But…

Muse:  I enjoyed the movie a lot.  I’m just too tired to discuss it tonight.  Can we discuss it tomorrow after I get some sleep?  Good night!

Sure.  We can do that.

Just to let you know, the movie was good and tomorrow, I’ll tell you why…
