Me & My Muse – Day 1223: Greetings From Midland!

Well, after waking up and getting ready,  I’m now in Midland.  All I had to do was take the elevator down from my room, since I arrived here last night. Didn’t think that you would get one of these with me being gone, huh?  Well, you’re wrong once again!  Remember the one that I left ahead of time at Battle Creek?  I’m not missing a day.  This one is up, and tomorrow’s will be too, after I get back.

Right now, I’m inside the hotel, right next to the conference room.  Having registered last night, I’m just waiting for breakfast…

Muse:  No you’re not.  Besides,  You live about 8 miles away from Midland.  Why would you need a hotel room?

Yes I am.  I just entered the conference room.  And to answer your question, I just wanted to.  How many other opportunities am I going to have to stay at The H Hotel?

Muse:  You’re faking an entry once again!  You are still at home, planning this entry in advance.  You are not even in Midland!

I am in Midland.  Everyone.  Don’t listen to her.

Muse:  Everyone.  This is a preplanned entry.  You’ve seen them before.  And this one is slightly altered and mostly recycled!

I think this is a good time to close.  I’m very hungry and the selection for breakfast looks pretty good.

The high today is going to be 52 degrees and the silver lining will be enjoying all that this conference has to offer.

Muse:  You mean the conference that you have yet to experience tonight, tomorrow and Sunday?

To all of you who love attending conferences, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Once again, we have another entry that has FAKE written all over it.  At least Sunday’s will be real…

Me & My Muse – Day 1222: Give Humor a Chance!

That is the theme for tonight’s conference.  What conference?  If you are just tuning in,  I am headed to Midland tonight for the District 62 Fall Conference at The H Hotel in scenic downtown Midland.

First of all, let’s get the easy one out of the way.  This morning, I woke up and packed.  I didn’t need to pick up my paycheck, since I got it yesterday at work.  Since Veteran’s Day is a holiday, I got paid a day early.

Since this morning, I’ve been in conference preparation mode.  The conference is tonight, and I have until 4:00 to finish packing and getting ready.

Muse:  Ready for the conference?

Am I ever!  This weekend is going to be amazing.  I will be hearing from Conor Cunneen, Distinguished Toastmaster and Accredited Speaker.  You’ll hear more about that in Sunday’s recap.

Muse:  Have fun at the conference!  I’m packing for mine.

You have one too?

Muse:  Yes.  The Imaginary division was modeled after Toastmasters International.  Therefore, the conferences are held around the same time of year.

Makes sense to me.  Time to get ready.

Muse:  Let me know how it turns out!

I need to get ready for the conference, and then leave for The H Hotel at 4:00.  There will be an entry tomorrow, trust me….

Today’s high is going to be 47 degrees and the silver lining is being all ready for the conference.

To those of you who have ever prepared for a memorable conference, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  It looks like Kyle is going to have a lot of fun.  So will I!  My conference is going to be so much fun!

Me & My Muse – Day 1221: Celebration Night

I just got back from having dinner at Genji, and it was really good.

I went here with my parents and brother, since my parents will not be at my DTM Ceremony on Saturday.

I will now cut things short, since I’m a little tired tonight.

Today’s high is going to be 62 degrees and the silver lining is getting paid and having dinner at Genji.

To those of you who like eating out, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  That food was good.  I didn’t get a table.  I ate at the sushi bar.  The food was good…

Me & My Muse – Day 1220: It’s Time to Make America Great Again!!!

If you were up really late last night like I was, then you saw history in the making.

In this historical event, we saw the battle of two different candidates.  We had Donald Trump versus Hillary Clinton.  What made last night so interesting was how Trump was able to create a movement that led to him winning state after state.  I agree that he doesn’t have plenty of political experience, but he has a lot of experience with business.  Rebuilding America will be his biggest project yet, and I look forward to seeing how this will unfold.

Muse:  Wasn’t last night crazy?

It was.  It was very crazy indeed.  The suspense was insane.  It was going back and forth.  Trump had the lead in the beginning.  Clinton then had a slight lead.  Trump then pulled ahead again, with Clinton trailing the rest of the time. Finally, it was stuck at 254 for Trump and 212 for Clinton.

Muse:  That was annoying!  I thought that the number would never change.  It was Minnesota, New Hampshire, Arizona, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.  Pennsylvania was the closest to having all the precincts in, so I was rooting for that.

For me, it took so long that I went off to bed.  About 15 minutes later, my brother woke me up.  “He wins!” he whispered.  “He got Pennsylvania!”

Muse:   That was so amazing.  Did you see how they dismissed the Clinton headquarters early?  About an hour later, Trump wins with Pennsylvania.  I was so excited when I saw this.

Yeah.  And after that, Pence comes out with his family and gives a short speech.  Trump then came out with his family and gave his acceptance speech, thanking Hillary Clinton for a great race.

Muse:  That was nice of him.  He may not have liked her during the race, but it was good that he did this.

With the race over, it’s now time to see what he does.  Just two more months of Obama and it will finally be time for the Trump Administration!

Muse:  I’m still getting used to the fact that he’s now president.  President Donald Trump?  He’s a businessman so this will be a little different.

It will be different, but it’s going to be exciting.

Muse:  I will now do some reading.  Hooray for Trump!

*Muse re-enters pink TARDIS*

Last night was exciting.  I’m very tired, but it was fun seeing history being made.

Time to get ready for Survivor and then get ready for bed.

Today’s high is going to be 51 degrees and the silver lining is Trump winning the election.

To those of you who survived the election, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  President Trump will do a lot of good things for this country.  Congratulations Trump!  Two more months!

Me & My Muse -Day 1219: Election Day

Have you voted yet?  I have.  In fact, I just came back from voting.

In looking at today, I can already make this call.  In understanding everyone’s strong feelings on the election, we are at a stalemate.  It doesn’t matter who wins.  Somebody will be angry.  If Trump wins, the Democrats will be angry.  If Clinton wins, the Republicans will be angry.  The hatred between the two sides is getting out of hand.

Let’s agree to disagree.  Are we not all human? Don’t we all live in the same country?  It is beliefs and values that are polarizing to people in so many ways.  Can’t we all just get along?

I will be very honest.  I do not care if Donald Trump wins or if Hillary Clinton wins.  Somebody will win.  Now, as much much as I want my candidate to win, it is likely to not happen.  But life goes on, you know?  God is sovereign over all things, regardless of the outcome of the election.

Shall I place my trust in a man or a woman? Shall I let them and their governance of this country dictate whether or not I will be happy?  My trust is in the Lord.  He is my source of happiness and no politician can take him away from me.

So everyone.  Stop worrying about the election.  Vote the values that matter most and leave it at that.  You did all that you can do to get your candidate elected.  Now wait it out and see what happens.

Muse:  You voted?  I just voted myself.

No you didn’t.  Intangibles can’t vote!

Muse:  Intangibles can’t vote, huh?  Well, that’s too bad!  If they could, there would be another vote for Trump!  Oh, and who did you vote for, by the way?

I voted for Donald Trump, of course.  I want to “make America great again”.

Muse:  So do I.  But Hillary Clinton is painting a different picture of him.

Of course.  That’s what all politicians do.  But with what she did, it is outrageous what she is getting away with.

Muse:  I know.  All those deleted emails, pay to play, voting for NAFTA,  Benghazi, covering her husband’s scandal…

Giving Russia a reset button for the Cold War, ruining relations with Israel, downplaying human rights, lying to the FBI and congress, creating ISIS by pulling out of Iraq too early, calling half of America a “basket of deplorables”…the list just goes on.

Muse:  I know.  And if she gets elected, she will increase the immigration of Syrian refugees by 500%.

Makes sense.  Having a bunch of immigrants that support the Democratic party would have them in power forever.

Muse: Not to mention, the tax increases would continue.  Over-regulation of business would continue…Why, she probably won’t stop until everyone is on welfare.

Everyone, huh?  I think that she will leave the elite alone.  How else could she have her musical entertainers?  She’ll pretty much drain all the wealth of the middle class.

Muse:  And then what?  More spending and more borrowing.  China already has a majority of our debt.

And let’s not forget freedom of speech.  Everything in the media and on the internet will be heavily regulated like China.  Our right to defend ourselves will be taken away and all the criminals will run free…

Muse:  At the end of the day, you just need to leave it in God’s hands.  You did all that you could do, right?

Yes.  And even if things do get really bad, she can never take away my Jesus.

Muse:  There we go.  I’m rooting for Trump.  I hope he wins.  Time for some reading!

*Muse enters pink TARDIS*

I hope that he does, too.  There’s a lot of people rooting for Clinton too, so we’re in a very tricky situation.  Like I said, a stalemate.  You can’t please both sides.

My win-win is trusting God in either outcome, and continuing to live for him no matter what.

Well, the polls close at 8:00 so there’s no telling what’s going to happen from here.  All I can do is trust God’s sovereignty in either outcome and hope for the best.  There will be a tomorrow, Lord willing.

Today’s high is going to be 57 degrees and the silver lining is being able to vote on the issues that matter to me the most.

To those of you who are satisfied with your vote, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  This poor country has had 8 years of battering and bruising.  I would hate to see what another 4 would bring under Clinton.  I hope that Trump wins!  Go Trump!  Drain the swamp!

Me & My Muse – Day 1218: Election Eve

Well, it’s the eve of of the election…That’s if the world goes back to normal.

With the world being invaded by more than a million Daleks, an election in the United States is the least of our worries right now.

I myself am concerned for the lives of those people down there.  Those Daleks…They show no mercy.  They will kill someone without a second thought.  That Davros has made a mistake in designing such a destructive race.  Why couldn’t they have just stayed at Skaro?

???: Because they are not content with staying there.  They will swarm the universe, vaporizing everything until there’s nothing left.

Doctor!  You escaped?

The Doctor:  Of course I did!  Thanks to these nifty sunglasses…

Ah…Your sonic sunglasses…

The Doctor:  Yes.  Both stylish and functional.  Now, we are going to break out and stop this invasion.  I have a teleport that can take us all to the TARDIS.

Or…I could use my One Privilege to take all of us to the TARDIS…

The Doctor:  You could…But the Dark Muse could counter it.  Let’s go with my plan.

What about my Muse?

Muse:  I already escaped.

How?

Muse:  My sonic lip stick, of course!  Never leave home without it!

Dalek:  HOW DID YOU ALL ESCAPE?  RETURN TO YOUR CELLS OR YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED!

The Doctor:  Go ahead.  Exterminate us!  *whispers to me and my Muse*  Both of you!  Grab me on three!

*we both nod*

The Doctor:  One!  Two!

Daleks:  EXTERMINATE!  EXTERMINATE!

The Doctor:  Three!

*The Doctor activates teleport, which sends all three of us to the TARDIS*

The Doctor:  Quick!  Let’s get out of here!  They shouldn’t be able to find us with the cloaking turned on…

*The Doctor activates controls, causing the TARDIS to power up and travel to a different time period*

The Doctor:  Here.  We will create a black hole that will destroy the entire Dalek fleet! Since it’s before the Dark Muse sent the Daleks, she won’t suspect us.

Who’s creating the black hole?

The Doctor:  You are!  Duh!  Mr. One Privilege!

A black hole will appear, sucking in the entire Dalek fleet.  One Privilege, ENGAGE!

*black hole appears, destroying Dalek fleet*

The Doctor:  There.  That will hold them off for now.  They’ll be back…from some other random time period.

Muse:  It’s a possibility.  We have traveled a lot through time, so we could encounter them anywhere…

Well, that should upset the Dark Muse’s plan, but I’m sure she’ll think of something else.

The Doctor:  She will.  Time to land!

*The Doctor activates the controls again, making the TARDIS disappear and reappear in a different time period*

There.  The day before the election.  Not a single Dalek in sight.  No ships at all…This is where I get off.  Thanks for saving the day!

The Doctor: Anytime!  And “sister”, we will talk later, okay?

Sister?  (Oh yeah…The Doctor altered his timeline to have The Muse born with him on Gallifrey.)

Muse:  Definitely, dear “brother”…

*exits with Muse into Muse’s room*

I’m going to return home.  I’ll see you tomorrow.

Muse:  Okay!  If you need me, I’ll be in my pink box…

*Muse enters pink TARDIS and closes door*

There.  It’s good that I can vote tomorrow.  A bunch of Daleks would have ruined everything.

Time to get ready for my friend to come over.  He hasn’t come yet, but he could still come today.

Today’s high is going to be 64 degrees and the silver lining is my friend coming over tonight.

To those of you who like friend visits, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Phew!  Made it back in time to use the bathroom.  Not even The Doctor knows about this…thankfully…

Meanwhile, in a secret undisclosed area…

Dark Muse:  Traveling back in time to prevent a Dalek invasion?  Okay.  You win this round…for now.  Muse…

Me & My Muse – Day 1217: Falling Back – Part II

So have you done it yet?  Have you turned your clocks back?  If you forget to do this, you’re going to be a little early for work tomorrow morning.

Right now, it would be almost 5:30 in the afternoon. But it’s not, since we have fallen back.  Instead, it is almost 4:30 in the afternoon.   Oh, I just love standard time!

Muse:  It’s nice, but the only drawback is shorter days.

I know.  It’s going to get dark at 6:00 instead of 7:00.

Well, it’s time to wrap this up.

???:  So soon?  Where’s the fun in that?

Muse:  Who are you?  You almost seem like someone I know!

???:  It’s because I am.  Don’t recognize the new regeneration…Muse?

Muse:  The Dark Muse!  What are you up to now?

Dark Muse:  Not much.  I only invited 1,000,000 Daleks to come and destroy this planet.  I’m pretty sure you won’t mind, dear.

So you’re a Time Lady, too?

Dark Muse:  Of course, dear.  I still look lovely after all these years.  But since you don’t recognize me,  I will use a term that you’re very well familiar with…Tee hee!

So same Dark Muse, only more intelligent.

Dark Muse:  I could’ve settled on a male form, but I preferred being a lady…

Muse:  Where’s The Doctor?

Dark Muse:  Playing with the Daleks, of course.  You should see how he plays with them!  It’s like a giddy boy on Christmas Day!

Muse:  Lead me to the Doctor!

Dark Muse:  Oh I would, if he were still alive…

Don’t tell me he’s dead!

Dark Muse:  He might be, he might not be.  You never know with those Daleks.  I did send the invites to them…

Spill it.  The Daleks aren’t just here to destroy the planet.

Dark Muse:  Why I would be PRIVILEGED to!

So they’re after my One Privilege, huh?  Well, they can’t destroy earth if I’m still on it.  If I die, the privilege dies too!  And I can put an end to this right away!  All of the fleet of Dalek ships are gone and The Doctor is safe!  One Privilege, ENGAGE!

Dark Muse:  Oh dear!  What should I do?

*the fleet of Dalek Ships reappear*

WHAT?  How did you do that?

Muse:  That is impossible! Unless…the only way to counter a One Privilege is with another One Privilege.  Now that’s absurd…

Dark Muse:  What is it, Muse?  What’s this “absurd”?

Muse:  If you have the One Privilege, you could very easily annihilate us and take the other One Privilege.  So why aren’t you?

Dark Muse:  Why, that would be a wonderful idea, darling…There is, however, only one problem with that.  I do not have the One Privilege!

Muse:  Then you’re getting the energy from it somewhere.  Some source is feeding you the energy, but you don’t have the full measure of it.  At best, it can only match the power of the One Privilege…

Dark  Muse:  Bravo!  Why you are a smart little girl, aren’t you!

*Muse shoves Dark Muse out of the Pink TARDIS, with Muse following*

Muse:  And you’re a selfish brat!

Dark Muse:  Oh come on, dear.  You know that you like me.  Now, we don’t want to keep our Dalek guests waiting…

*a large horde of Daleks teleport onto earth*

Dalek:  WHERE IS THE MUSE?

Dark Muse:  Over here! Over here!  I found her!

*a large group of Daleks surround Muse*

Dalek Leader:  WHERE IS THE ONE THAT YIELDS THE ONE PRIVILEGE?

Dark Muse:  You want him, too?  He’s right over here…

*Dark Muse grabs me by the arm and throws me forward*

No.  It’s not going to end like this. All the Daleks are gone. One Privilege, ENGAGE!

*the large group of Daleks vanish*

Dark Muse:  Uh-ahh!

*Dark Muse motions her hand and all the Daleks reappear*

Dark Muse:  Come on, dear!  Don’t try to make it more difficult than it already is!  Take them away.

Dalek Leader:  RIGHT AWAY, DARK MUSE…

*vanishes with Daleks, appearing on a ship*

So, what are you going to do with us?

Dalek Leader:  WE WILL TAKE THE ONE PRIVILEGE FROM YOU AND YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED!

Muse:  And what are you doing with me?

Dalek Leader:  YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED!

Davros:  Enough!  My children, you will not exterminate either of them.  Get all the information out of them that you can.  When you are finished, I will then give you the order to exterminate them.

Dalek Leader:  AS YOU WISH, MASTER!

Davros:  Take them to their cells.

*gets placed in an isolated cell*

Well, I didn’t expect it to end this way.  Hopefully, I’ll find a way to escape.  Hopefully, The Doctor is alive.

The Dark Muse is back again as a Time Lady?  What could be giving the Dark Muse all that power?  Where else could there be a One Privilege?  Is she drawing my own power from a different time period?  I hope to escape soon…

The high for today is going to be 65 degrees and the silver lining is going to tonight’s prayer meeting.  That is, if I can escape this Dalek mothership…

To those of you who are taking it easy on this Sunday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  A separate cell, huh?  Rather smart, considering that the Daleks don’t want us to plot anything together.  Now I know that The Doctor is alive.  He doesn’t just die like that.  I have known him for millennia.  I can feel it…

Me & My Muse – Day 1216: Falling Back – Part I

With Fall in full swing now, it is official.  Daylight Savings Time has officially come to an end.

Now if you watch this occurrence closely like I do, you would know that Daylight Savings Time ends at 2:00 a.m.  But rather than waiting until 2:00 a.m., I like to celebrate it a day early.  So right now, it is not almost 7:00, but almost 6:00.

And my Muse is taking a nap right now.  She must be bored or tired from last night.  I won’t bother her until later, when she wakes up.

Time to enjoy the remainder of this day.

Today’s high is going to be 65 degrees and the silver lining is celebrating the end of Daylight Saving’s Time a day early.

To those of you who are enjoying your Saturday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  *snore*  Stay away…Daleks…Stay away…

Meanwhile…

???: WE TAKE OVER EARTH TOMORROW.  BOTH THE DOCTOR AND THE MUSE WILL BE LOCATED AND EXTERMINATED!

??? (large group):  EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!!!!

Me & My Muse – Day 1215: The November Respite Begins…

In a matter of speaking, this is a respite on three counts.

The first one is a respite from the weekly Monday through Friday schedule that I have at work.  There’s nothing really that new about that one.

The second one is a respite from Toastmasters-related activities.  Area Contests are done.  Division Contests are done.  Next week is the Fall Conference, so this week is a period of rest before that.

The third and final one is a respite from the upcoming election.  With all the uncertainty and unrest in a lot of people that will remain until this Tuesday, this is the last weekend to rest on this before Election Tuesday.  All I can say is it doesn’t matter who wins.  God is in control regardless of the outcome.  Politics is something that we the people decide so I’m not going to let a few soundbites rile me up.  God is more important to me than anything that is going on in the political realm.  And to those of us who desire peace, he will provide it.  Let’s end this season of politics and let’s all get along.  Let us get ready for the upcoming holidays: Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Let’s stop fighting and hating the other person because they’re voting for a candidate that you don’t like.  It’s all in God’s hands and I will move forward with whatever decision that happens.

In looking at this evening, I’m going to enjoy this Friday and everything that it has to offer.

Muse:  That sounds good to me.

Hey.  I’m so glad that it’s the weekend. I’ve been meaning to want to talk to you.

Muse:  Chat away, sweetie.  I have all the time in the world.  If you take until the apocalypse, we can always travel back to this point in time again…

Oh, I’m not going to take until the apocalypse.  Just a little while.  I’m just very curious about your new form.  How much of you do I really know if you have experienced another lifetime somewhere else?

Muse:  Don’t forget that I experienced this entire lifetime BEFORE I was born in this Intangible body.  My original birth if you will.  In experiencing both births, this makes me fully Time Lady and fully Intangible Muse.

Yes.  But that does mean that you still have all the original memories from before?

Muse:  Kyle, do not worry about that.  None of my memories have been lost from before.  If they had, you probably would’ve forgotten them too.  When time is rewritten, that changes everyone associated with that event.  Since I was placed back in my mother’s womb at the time of birth, I still went on to experience all the same memories as before, only I’m now a Time Lady.

A Time Lady estranged from her original birth.

Muse:  Yes, but only until after the Time War.  When that was done, I met another incarnation of The Doctor from the future.  It was the same Doctor that placed me in Gallifrey in his past, so that I would be born with him.  He told me that it was time to return to the date of my birth, so he helped me get there.

Don’t you consider it strange having to experience life all over again?

Muse:  Not necessarily.  When I was put back in my mother’s womb, it was like falling asleep.  When I awoke, I was in my mother’s arms.  I was helplessly crying, but was somehow still aware that my original life has just begun.

So you were watching.

Muse:  It’s kind of hard to explain.  I was there, but I was greatly limited in function.  The brain that I had was not at all developed.  It was the brain of a newborn…

Wasn’t this like deja vu when you experienced this 100 days ago?

Muse:  Absolutely.  It was the same helplessness and the same feelings again.  You’ve been physically born only once.  Try being physically born three times.  Each additional time is an ordeal, I tell you sweetie…Now if you would excuse me…

What?  You’re looking down at yourself.  Do you have to use the restroom?

Muse:  I’ll be right back!  Bye!

*a few minutes later*

Muse:  There.  I’m back.  Sorry about that, sweetie…

It’s okay.  That reminds me.  I have been meaning to want to ask you this, but I was concerned with how comfortable you would be in answering.  Do you have trouble getting to the bathroom?  You always seem to be rushing off…

Muse (blushing):  That is a very personal question.  What should I have any reason at all to answer it?

That was my concern.  You don’t seem to be very comfortable when it comes to talking about this.  I was just concerned with you always running off.

Muse:  Well, you shouldn’t have any concern!

I think that I should.  You are my Muse, and there should never be anything too personal to share with me.  If I am your companion, then why keep anything from me?

Muse:  It’s just that…Hold on!  I need to leave again…

You are not leaving.  I think that you will be fine addressing this matter with me.  Is there an issue with making it?

Muse:  Just…Let me leave!

Oh…I think there is.  That look on your face.  I see it.  It’s the look of disgust.

Muse:  Disgust, huh?  Then answer me this.  Why didn’t you and my parents do a better job in toilet training me?  Having a severely weak bladder doesn’t really help in the least.  There.  You know and everyone else reading knows!

Why?  Why didn’t we do a better job?  Could it have been that the Dark Muse was possessing you and was delaying every one of your milestones?  We tried to make sure that you reached each one, so at least give us credit for the ones that you reached.

Muse:  Just know that the toilet is my priority and I will use it at all costs.  Now if you would excuse me, I have some personal matters to attend to…

*Muse enters Pink TARDIS*

I didn’t mean to make her upset.  I was only concerned with why she was constantly leaving so suddenly.  Everyone.  She is very upset, so I will keep silent about her whole handicap.  Don’t think any less of her.  It’s frustrating enough to transform from a three-year old to an adult.  She is determined to be self-sufficient, and I support her all the way in that decision.  I won’t mention what she’s wearing, as I don’t want to embarrass her.  This will be the last time this is mentioned.  This is her personal life, and we have  no business to delve any deeper into it.

I think that this is a good time to end this, as I think that the time is ripe to enjoy my Friday.

Today’s high is going to be 54 degrees and the silver lining is it finally being the weekend.

To those of you who are glad that it’s Friday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Why did he have to go and humiliate me like that?  Everyone has their own secrets to hide, but Kyle has no business in sharing the secrets of a Time Lady.  Should I share some of Kyle’s secrets?  No.  I’ll be good.  Everyone with a secret has no reason to be ashamed of it, unless it’s something that would be potentially harmful in the long run.  Gambling, pornography, alcoholism, the list goes on.

Meanwhile…

???:  CONFIRMED.  COORDINATES OF THE DOCTOR AND THE MUSE HAVE BEEN LOCATED.

???:  EXCELLENT.  PREPARE FOR THE APPREHENSION OF THE DOCTOR AND THE MUSE.  BRING THEM HERE FOR EXTERMINATION.

??? (large group):  EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!  EXTERMINATE!!!!

My Writing Journey – Don’t Go Alone! (11/03/2016)

Have you ever tried to do something alone?  It could be dieting, exercising, or anything else.  It’s an uphill battle, and if you’re going at it by yourself, your odds are not very good.

Don’t go alone.  If you’re dieting, join a friend who is also dieting.  If you’re exercising, join a friend who is doing the same.  This will establish some accountability, and you’ll be able to work on your goal.

Are you working on a blog post for a website?  Find other people who are doing the same, and they can encourage you.  Don’t do it alone.  Your momentum will be a lot better if you have your friends to encourage you.

For me, I attend ideation once a week.  Everyone there is encouraged to continue on their idea.  Those who keep going will keep getting encouraged.  For me, it’s like an idea gym.  The ideas that work out the most turn into successful businesses.  I don’t go alone and neither should you.

So the next time you’re doing something alone, try to see if there’s someone else that you can share the experience with.  For us, we’re all sharing this journey together so we don’t have to be alone.  It’s better this way and you have a much better chance to succeed.

What will there be next week?  Since I’m busy with conference planning for Toastmasters, I won’t be attending ideation so I’ll try to think of something special.

See you next week!

Your friend in writing,

Kyle

Me & My Muse – Day 1214: Pepperoni & Jalapeno Pepperoni Stuffed Crust Deep Dish

Having just given it some thought, I’m starting to think:  Is it a good idea to use what I ate for lunch as a blog title?  For today, I think that it will work fine, although the title is a little long.

Yes.  I had one of our new Pepperoni Stuffed Crust Deep Dish pizzas.  The toppings?  Pepperoni and Jalapeno.  This is perfectly fine, considering how many people didn’t want their jalapenos when we were selling the Loaded Crazy Bread Bites.

In cutting to the chase, I have a meeting to get ready for tonight.  Before that, I have a minute by minute to work on for the conference.  I would like to try to make some progress before tonight.  One more day separates me from the weekend, which is tomorrow.  I can hardly wait until then.

Today’s high is going to be 59 degrees and the silver lining is having a delicious pizza for lunch and dinner.

To those of you who like appetizing pizzas, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  That pizza sounds good.  I’ll have to get one myself.  Of course the calories won’t be an issue, since I can use my intangible abilities to metabolize every single one…I’m off!

Me & My Muse – Day 1213: Bread, Ideas, and Toastmasters

The aforementioned items above serve as a clue to what I have been doing today.

First, bread.  At work, it was delivery day.  I put everything away and got everything done on the checklist.  Easy enough.  But it was also crazy bread day.  Two crazy breads for two dollars.  Considering that one crazy bread usually costs $2.75 after tax, paying $2.12 for two breads is a really good deal.  To summarize, we sold a lot of bread today.

Secondly, ideas.  Ideation is at 5:30, but like usual, I’ll be there at 5:00 to get a head start.  Right after you see this post, I’ll be hard at work on my ideation homework.  I’ll get some of that done before I take off today.

Last of all, Toastmasters.  Why am I getting to Ideation at 5:00 instead of 5:30?  I have a conference call at 7:00 for the Fall Conference Planning.  The conference is one week after this weekend, and some odds and ends still need to be addressed.

So there you go.  Bread, ideas, and Toastmasters.  Those three items make for a very busy Wednesday.

Muse:  Are you ever not busy?

I wish that were the case.  If I were, where would the fun in that be?

Muse:  I don’t know.  I just figured that I would be nice to have a break every now and then.

That might come on Friday, so I’ll have to keep my fingers crossed.  Time to get my ideation stuff done!

Muse:  I’ll let you.  I’ll be in the TARDIS if you need me…

*Muse enters pink TARDIS*

Time to work on the Ideation homework now.

Today’s high is going to be 56 degrees and the silver lining is going to ideation today.

To those of you who are having a busy Wednesday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I look forward to Friday.  It’s good to be busy, but not too busy…

Me & My Muse – Day 1212: Leftover Candy

With Halloween being over, all that’s left of it is all the leftover candy.

Considering the time that I have left, I will be cutting this entry short.  I have a Toastmasters meeting tonight.  Before that, I will want to get some other things done.  That’s what on tap for today.

Today’s high is going to be 71 degrees and the silver lining is going to tonight’s Toastmasters meeting.

To those of you who like going to extracurricular activities, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  You’re busy today?  This seems to be a reoccurring theme for you.  Enjoy your evening!
