And I’ll be brief with this one, since I leave for a Toastmasters meeting in less than an hour.

 

Muse:  Brief?  Excuse me?

Why, you’re dressed up pretty nice!

Muse:  Clearly it sounds like someone’s in a hurry.  Have you any manners?

Manners?  Manners regarding what?

Muse:  Manners regarding the proper way to address me.  You are in the presence of the Duchess of Imagination!

Duchess? Good one.  Where’s the Duke of Imagination?

Muse:  He is busy, tending to the affairs of the king.  Now mind your manners and be proper!

And you do the same, Miss High and Mighty.  You may be in a position of power, but it doesn’t mean that you have to abuse it.

Muse:  And I’m not.  The lower classes are Intangible too, and I have respect for them.

Anyway, pardon my undue haste.  There is an important meeting that I need to get ready for tonight..

Muse:  Go ahead and prepare then.  I just wanted to see you before your departure.  The Duke of Imagination sends you his regards!

*Muse vanishes in a beam of light*

It’s now time to get ready for tonight’s meeting.

Today’s high is going to be 78 degrees and the silver lining is going to tonight’s Toastmasters meeting.
