Me & My Muse – Day 1052: Silence is Golden

In being past the halfway point, what did I do today?

I had breakfast with my grandparents, attended a corporate Toastmasters club at East End as a guest, and renewed my license plate for next year.

What remains is discovering the very thing that makes me tick: my passion.  Chances are it’s all around me.  It’s just a matter of reaffirming what it is.  After a little ideation and trial and error, I will find what it is.

*Muse appears, and begins make pulling motions with her hands*

Muse:  …

Why are you dressed like that?  You look like a mime!

Muse:  …

*Muse begins spinning one of her hands in a circle, as if to lasso something*

Are you going to say anything?

*Muse taps her mouth over her lips and shakes her head*

Oh yeah.  That’s right.  Mimes don’t talk.

*Muse presses her hands all around in a compact formation*

Oh.  The old trapped in a box routine…

*Muse waves her hands a short distance, in labored motions, pounding her fists at the air*

I get it.  You’re trapped in the box and you can’t get out…

Muse:  …

*Muse closes her eyes and nods happily*

So, how are you going to get out?

*Muse motions with her hand, as if to take something out of her pocket*

A key?

*Muse nods, and motions her hand with a pinched grip over a short distance and slides that hand forward, turning it 90 degrees*

Are you coming out?

*Muse presses both hands upward and jumps forward, and begins merrily clapping her hands*

Yay!  You got out!  Anything else?  I can’t really have a conversation with a mime…

*Muse shakes her hand and nods*

Well, if you’re done, I’ll see you later!

*Muse smiles waves her hands at me, then vanishes in a beam of light*

Well, that was strange.  She never told me she was a mime.  Well, then again, how could she?  Mimes don’t talk!

With that done, it’s time for ideation.  I will chase down my passion until I catch it by the scruff of the neck!

Today’s high is going to be 83 degrees and the silver lining is going to today’s Toastmasters meeting.

To those of you who like being halfway done with the week, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
