Me & My Muse go to the Movies: #5: Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

I know what you’re thinking.  You thought that I would forget all about the Anchorman 2 movie review, didn’t you?  I haven’t.  And neither has my Muse.  Muse?

Muse:  I was in the middle of reading.  What?

We’re going to talk about Anchorman 2 now.  Is there anything that you wanted to say about it?

Muse:  Yes.  But first, answer me this question.  Is it really necessary to have your clone spy on me?

Yes.  I want to make sure that you don’t cheat on the shoveling.  My clone just told me that you were just about to.

Muse:  Wait!  How is that possible?

Telepathy.  Anything’s possible with an INTANGIBLE clone….

Muse:  Well, that’s why I couldn’t see him, either! He must have made himself invisible….Can you get rid of him?

No.  I won’t make him go until you finish shoveling tomorrow….

Muse: *sigh* Can’t we just call this off?  I don’t really want to shovel….

Aha!  See?  I knew you were going to cheat!  That’s okay.  Go on.  I know you can’t do it….

Muse:  I can and I will!  Just you see!

I will.  My clone gives me an extra set of eyes….Now I believe that we are getting a little sidetracked.  Let’s get to the movie, shall we?

Anchorman 2 Final

Muse:  Let’s hurry.  I’m a little tired and I want to go to bed early.

Don’t worry.  This won’t take too long.

Muse:  And you’re going to have a review of this, too?

I will, but it’s going to be tomorrow.  I’m a little tired myself.

Getting to the start of the movie, I liked how it started.   You have the typical narration, talking about Ron Burgundy.  With his demise, Ron has to start over.

Muse:  Yes.  And then he goes on a journey.

Yes.  This was after he was given a job by Ed Harken, an agent who worked for GNN news.

To make a long story short, Ron finds his team and heads to New York for the launch of the new 24-hour news station.  Hilarity ensues.

Muse:  I know.  I especially liked Brick and Chani.

So did I.  I guess love really can bloom between two invalids….

Muse:  Not to offend anyone with a special disability, of course.

There were a lot of laughs and I liked the ending.

Muse:  I especially liked Chani’s line: “I am 22 months pregnant”.  Best line in the movie.  I mean, that’s impossible!  Last time I checked, 9 months is the longest for a pregnancy cycle….

I know.  That’s what made it funny.

Muse:  You’re saving the rest for the review, right?

Yes.  I don’t want to spoil too much in this discussion.

That’s all for the discussion.  Stay tuned for the review!

Until then, I’ll see you tomorrow!
