The lawn can be a laborsome thing to cut.  This is definitely the case when your yard is enormous.  For me, I just finished cutting the back lawn.  And, to be technical, it’s really two lawns when you take into account the brick walkway that divides the lawn in half.

Having that said, the yard is done.  I will now celebrate by….

 

Muse:  I got my haircut!

That’s nice.  I’m actually quite busy right n…..WHAT?  What did you do to your hair?  It’s green!

Muse:  I know.  Do you like it!  I saw your title and I decided that I wanted green hair today.  I made it too long so I decided to get a haircut.  Hee!

Are you done?

Muse:  Yes.  I’m done.

If so, I guess I’ll cele….

Muse:  Don’t you just like my green haircut?

Yeah, it’s nice.  You looked at my title and decided to get a green haircut.  Cute.  But I hate to break it to you.  My title has nothing to do with green hair.

Muse:  What….?  It….doesn’t?

I guess I should’ve spelled it out for you.  When I mowed the lawn, I gave the entire lawn a green haircut.  Because the grass is green, you see?

Muse:  But lawns don’t have hair, silly!

Of course.  Lawns don’t have hair.  They have grass….

Muse:  Then why did you call it a “green haircut”?

It’s symbolism.  Something that you would never understand.

Muse:  I understand symbolism!  I’m a smart girl!

You mean smart woman?  You just said girl.

Muse:  Smart woman!  Whatever!  What I don’t understand is why you didn’t title it “Green Grasscut”.

Now what kind of title would that be?  “Green Grasscut”.  Think about it!

Muse:  Green Lawncut?  Green Yardcut?

None of them sound any good.  I like Green Haircut the best, and it’s staying.

Muse:  Why?  I thought they were good ideas!

It’s because those names aren’t clever.  They’re stupid.

Muse:  Why do you always hate my ideas?  You never like them!  Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!

 

Well, that’s that.  I sense that I’ll be talking to her very soon after this post.

To be honest,  I DO use her ideas.  Only the best ones.  For some reason, she can’t remember “green haircut”.  Oh well….

And I don’t hate her ideas.  I only hate the bad ideas.  For some reason, she likes every single idea.

Well, as I was saying before I was interrupted, I will celebrate by doing some more editing on my story.  For today’s silver lining, it will be getting more editing done on my story.  The high today is 94 degrees, so staying indoors is the best option.
