Me & My Muse – Day 4626: Springing Ahead

The time has come once again to set your clocks ahead one hour.

Despite the time change, I feel rested. I made preparations the night before and feel well rested today. With my Amazon Sunday done at the post office and the evening still ahead of me, I am now going to take it easy.

Besides taking it easy and the switch to Daylight Savings Time, that’s all that’s going on for today.

Today’s high is going to be 55 degrees and the silver lining is having time to unwind.

To those of you who remembered to turn your clocks ahead, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Whoa! That time change really messed me up!

Twin Muse:  Forgetting something?  Change into your Dreamer Muse costume!  Get with the program, twinnie!

Me & My Muse – Day 4625: Another Chill Day

That’s pretty much what today is. A relaxing Saturday with no work involved. Time to enjoy everything that it has to offer.

Today’s high is going to be 63 degrees and the silver lining is having this Saturday off.

To those of you who are enjoying your Saturday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: Wow.  Now I’m getting large clusters of galaxies caught in my dress!

Twin Muse: And I did I just swallow a galaxy cluster in my coffee? *sips coffee*

Me & My Muse – Day 4624: Time for another Friday…

With it being Friday at last, this is my last day to continue the search.  I want to dig deep and pursue what energizes and excites me the most.  Time to get ready.

Today’s high is going to be 56 degrees and the silver lining is the weekend being here at last.

To those of you who are glad that it’s Friday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: And the dream continues!  Those galaxies look like specs of dust!  I think I got a few of them caught in my dress!

Twin Muse: And I think I swallowed a few galaxies in my cup of coffee! *sips coffee*

Me & My Muse – Day 4623: One More Day…

Just one day remains until the weekend.  As for work, I have an Amazon Sunday and training begins on Wednesday.  More hours will be added next week.  That’s about it.  Time to get ready.

Today’s high is going to be 39 degrees and the silver lining is the weekend almost being here.

To those of you who are counting down the hours until Friday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: Look at those galaxies!  They’re so tiny!

Twin Muse: Time for another galactic cup of coffee! *sips coffee*

Me & My Muse – Day 4622: Halfway There

By this, I mean halfway to another weekend.  In the meantime, I want to find something meaningful to do until the Post Office remembers that I exist.  I should have more to do once I can learn routes and volunteer at other Post Offices.  Time to get ready now.

Today’s high is going to be 52 degrees and the silver lining is having the chance to do something meaningful today.

To those of you who are waiting for Friday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: Now the entire Milky Way is on my tummy!  This is a weird dream, but I love it!

Twin Muse: What’s better is that I get to drink a cup of coffee bigger than a galaxy!  *sips coffee*

Me & My Muse – Day 4621: Another Toast

That’s pretty much it.  Just another Toastmasters meeting on another Tuesday.  Time to get ready.

Today’s high is going to be 41 degrees and the silver lining is having time to find more work.

To those of you who are looking forward to Friday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: I wonder how long it will take for Kyle to notice that the earth is lying on my tummy?  It’s the size of a marble!

Twin Muse: I know!  It’s the solar system so tiny?  This is a very strange dream!  I wonder when we’ll wake up?

*both Muse and Twin Muse continue growing exponentially, beginning to outgrow the Milky Way*

Me & My Muse – Day 4620: Marching Forward

With the anime movie marathon done, my evenings are freed up once again.

As for work, I’m still waiting for things to transpire at the post office.  Once the vehicle gets fixed, my training can continue.

Time to continue.

Today’s high is going to be 37 degrees and the silver lining is having some time to unwind.

To those of you who like breaks, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: I’m enormous!  Isn’t this fun?

Twin Muse: It is, twinnie!  The best part about this is that it’s just a dream!

*both Muse and Twin Muse continue growing exponentially while the entire scenery changes around them*

Me & My Muse – Day 4619: A Bathhouse…

Our Anime movie journey ends with a bathhouse. A bathhouse to an abandoned theme park.  A theme park now overrun with spirits…

The bathhouse is important, since the spirits get cleansed here. But do know that if you get a job here, your name will be taken away from you. And if you forget your name, you may never leave the spirit realm.

One such thing happened to a girl named Chihiro. Her name was taken away and was given the name Sen. Her parents, too ended up missing as they were turned into pigs after eating the forbidden food of the spirits…

But there is hope for her to get it back. Both her name and her parents. And it is through a mysterious boy named Haku.

Muse: This movie is my most favorite of all.

Twin Muse:  Isn’t it?  This is my most favorite too!

I like it too. Right now, I want to enjoy myself before watching the movie later.

Muse: Go ahead. I still need to shower. Let me know when you watch it.  I can’t wait!

Twin Muse:  Already showered!  Just let me know when you’re ready, okay?

I will. Now to go enjoy myself.  Tonight,  I will be watching Spirited Away, a movie written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

Today’s high is going to be 27 degrees and the silver lining will be watching Spirited Away tonight.

To those who enjoy timeless classics, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: Of all the movies, the music in this one is the best! Oh, I can’t wait!!

Twin Muse:  Oh hurry!  This is the best movie of them all!  I can’t WAIT until tonight!

Me & My Muse – Day 4618: A Princess…

What is your idea of a princess?  Some are like Cinderella, where they go from rags to riches.  Others are born in the royal palace, learning all of their royal duties before their gradual ascension to the throne.

But what about an orphaned girl that was raised by wild wolves?  A now feral woman has learned all the ways of her adoptive wolf mother and is now a mighty warrior of the forest.  Her speed, agility, and senses are all sharp as she is intent on defending the forest and making it a habitable place for all the animals and vegetation that live within it.  This is San.  You may also know her as Princess Mononoke, and she is ready to defend her forest kingdom from all of her enemies, including Prince Ashitaka, who she eventually befriends.  This is the premise for Princess Mononoke, a renowned classic written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

Muse:  This is another good one.  I really like the story!

Twin Muse:  I like San!  She’s a tough character that doesn’t give up.

I really like this movie as well.  But it will be later in the day before we see it.

Muse:  Let me know when you’re ready and we’ll watch another classic!

Twin Muse:  I’ll be play my video games in the meantime, so let me know.

I will.  I will now get ready for the day.

That’s the game plan.  Get ready and watch Princess Mononoke later on.

Today’s high is going to be 31 degrees and the silver lining is seeing Princess Mononoke later today.

To those of you who love warrior princesses of the forest, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: Are you thinking what I’m thinking?  *puts on face paint and changes into tribal clothes*  Let’s sneak into Kyle’s room when he’s ready to watch the movie.

Twin Muse:  We’ll have to let Moro know and we’ll quietly ride her into the room.  *puts on face paint and changes into tribal clothes*  We have a forest to defend!

Me & My Muse – Day 4617: An Avatar…

Let’s face it.  The world that we live in can be quite harsh.  With the growing upheaval and unrest, wouldn’t it be great to escape to another place where these issues do not exist?

Such a place does exist.  Welcome to the virtual world of U. In U, you can begin an entirely different virtual life as an avatar.  Don’t like the way you look in the real world?  All of this can be digitally altered in this wonderful virtual landscape.  And for whatever skill that you lack in the real world, you can shine like a diamond in the world of U.

Take superstar Belle for example.  Her singing has captured the hearts of U and has very quickly become a viral sensation.  All Belle needs now is a virtual mate to fall in love with.  But when this day comes,  how does the real life person controlling Belle cope with the reality of the true identity of her virtual crush?  And how does Belle’s virtual audience cope with who Belle really is outside of U?  In the real world, where Belle is just an ordinary woman named Suzu?

This is another setup for Belle, one of the latest movies written and directed by Mamoru Hisoda.

Muse: I really loved this movie!  I seriously cried towards the ending.  Belle is just wonderful…That reminds me!  I’m going to enter U now!

Twin Muse:  Isn’t the movie beautiful?  You crybaby!  Just kidding.  I cried too  Now to enter U…

Who are you two going to be?   Wow!  You look wonderful, Twin Muse!

Diya: I am not Muse!  I am Diya!

Monde:  And I am not Twin Muse!  I am Monde!

Diya & Monde:  And together, we are the Diamond Twins, the most popular pop diva duo in all of U!

Whoa!  It looks like you are very famous in U!  Every one of your performances has an audience of more than 50 million, with one peaking at over 100 million!

Diya: What can I say?

Monde: No one in U can match our singing voices!

Diya: Let us know when you’re going to start the movie.

Monde: Because we’re going to give our fans another performance that they won’t forget!

I certainly will.

Today’s high is going to be 50 degrees and the silver lining is seeing Belle today.

To those of you who love romantic stories regarding virtual avatars, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Diya: Wow!

Monde: Almost 200 million all around U just watched us sing that last song!

Diya:  Everyone, this is for all of you.  I call this one “Dream at the Top of Your Lungs”!

Monde:  Are you ready?!  Let’s go!!!!

Me & My Muse – Day 4616: A Castle…

We have all heard of castles in fairy tales.  But of all the tales that we heard, how many actually consisted of castles that could move?  There is such a castle.  But from our understanding of castles and physics, castles would require a tremendous amount of energy to move.

But what if I told you that this castle wasn’t big at all? It isn’t.  In fact, this castle that I speak of is rather small.  Taking that into consideration, a smaller castle wouldn’t require that much energy.  I mean, I’m not talking about Neuschwanstein Castle, Versailles or even Cinderella Castle.  I’m talking about a very small castle – Howl’s Moving Castle.

And to describe that castle, we need to explain the source of that castle’s energy.  After all, I said that it could move, right?  This castle is powered by a fire demon named Calcifer bound by a curse with a wizard named Howl.  The wizard is literally heartless, because of his wanting to save him.  As a result, Calcifer consumed Howl’s heart, making Howl bound to him.

Can the curse be broken?  Fortunately, a hatter named Sophie enters the picture.  The result is an unforgettable tale of love, friendship and adventure.  This is Howl’s Moving Castle, the next movie I’ll be watching written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

Muse:  Another classic that I enjoy.

Twin Muse:  This is another good one!

Why are you two so small?

Muse:  Oops!  I forgot to change back.

Twin Muse:  I forgot too!  Maybe I’ll change back later.

I guess you two did become small after all…

Muse:  I couldn’t help myself.  I had to do it again.  It was fun exploring my gigantic house and sleeping in my pillow, using the pillowcase as a blanket.

Twin Muse:  That, and I convinced you to be small again, didn’t I?  Isn’t being small so much fun?  I loved the pillowcase blanket last night!

What did you use as a pillow?

Twin Muse:  There wasn’t one.  I just laid on the pillow….

Anyway, I need to get this show on the road.

Muse:  I’ll let you do that.  Time to get another chapter read!  Let me know when you start the movie!  Last night, I saw the movie.  Did you see me?

Twin Muse:  Time to beat another level!  Just let me know when you’re getting started!  And yeah.  Me and my twinnie were kind of spying on you.  Tee hee!

I didn’t.

Muse:  I was hiding.  I thought that it would be silly if you saw me small.  Anyway, time to read!

Twin Muse:  Silly?  It was fun!  I almost made a sound but my sister didn’t want me to.  Back to my game!

With me having to get ready to search for work this morning and work later in the day, I will cut this short.

Today’s high is going to be 35 degrees and the silver lining is watching Howl’s Moving Castle tonight.

To those of you who like moving castles, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Reading small is much more fun.  I can run up and down the pages, looking at the large text.  It’s also good exercise.  Here I go!

Twin Muse:  It’s fun to play games small!  I get to step on the buttons to move my character.  I do need to stretch myself out to press everything at the same time…There!  Just did another jump!

Me & My Muse – Day 4615: A Castle in the Sky…

Have you ever heard of the legend of Laputa?  Chances are you have, as stories of this floating island of myth has been circulated for many decades.  Some say that on a clear day, you can see the floating island of Laputa high in the sky, with an enormous castle perched right in the center.  High above the city that is now said to be ruins.  Parts of this legend tell of a special blue levitation stone that was used to find and access the Laputa.  It is needed to traverse the “Dragon’s Nest” an endless and perilous storm that circles Laputa.

But more recently, an orphan girl named Sheeta was found to have the blue levitation stone.  It was a necklace that she wore, and she has just escaped from her captors.

Fortunately, her escape has led to her finding another orphan named Pazu.  Together, they set out on an unforgettable story to find the fabled Laputa and discover the splendor that they find in the Castle in the Sky.

This is the premise for Hayao Miyazaki’s very first Studio Ghibli movie:  Castle in the Sky (Tenkū no Shiro Rapyuta, or in English: Laputa: Castle in the Sky).

Muse:  Sounds like another fun adventure!

Twin Muse:  Only that you forgot to mention that Sheeta came from royalty.  Address her by her REAL name.  She is Lusheeta Toel Ur Laputa!  Her heritage is with Laputa so she needs to find it!

And find it she will, with Pazu’s help.

Like all other movies, I need to get ready for the day. Later on, I will watch the movie.

Muse:  Fair enough.  In the meantime, we’re going to find the two orphans and look for Laputa!

Twin Muse:  We need a levitation stone if we’re going to find them!

Muse:  Or, we could just fly!  We’re Intangible, remember?

Twin Muse:  Right!  Let’s fly, twinnie!

*both Muse and Twin Muse fly up into the sky*

Time to get ready and enjoy yet another Miyazaki classic.

Today’s high is going to be 30 degrees and the silver lining is seeing Castle in the Sky later today.

To those of you who love finding mysterious floating islands with castles on them, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: Hey!  Sheeta!  Pazu!  Wait for us!  We will find Laputa together!

Twin Muse:  Just be careful when we get to the Dragon’s Nest!  It’s very windy and dangerous!

Me & My Muse – Day 4614: A Valley…

Survival is important.  Especially when you live on a planet that signed its own death warrant when the industrialization of earth reached its peak 1,000 years ago.  We will never forget the day.  The day of the “Seven Days of Fire”.  A monumental war that destroyed all of our world’s industries.  The Toxic Jungle was left in its wake, which gave birth to new creatures that now populate our doomed planet to this day.  Venturing outside is a risk when the Ohmu are around.  Nowhere is safe and it hasn’t been safe for at least 1,000 years.

But the light shines the brightest in the darkest of places.  The prophecy around these parts speak of a savior “clothed in blue” who will descend upon a “golden field” to reunite humanity and nature.  This savior is Nausicaä, a 16-year-old princess from the tiny wind-swept area known as The Valley of the Wind.

This is the premise of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, the next wonderful movie in this marathon.  And with it being made by Hayao Miyazaki, I just know that it will be a wonderful adventure.

Muse:  It will be.

Twin Muse:  Careful!  It’s not safe to be outside with all the Ohmu flying about!

I think we’ll be fine.  This will be a good movie.  I will get ready and later on tonight, I will watch the movie.

Muse:  Sounds good!  I look forward to it!

Twin Muse:  Same here!  Time to fly!

*both Muse and Twin Muse take off in their gliders*

That’s the plan.  Get ready and watch Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind later on.

Today’s high is going to be 33 degrees and the silver lining is seeing Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind later today.

To those of you who love finding hope in a post apocalyptic world, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: There!  I found the princess!

Twin Muse:  Let’s go talk to her! Nausicaä!  Over here!  We would like to aid you in your research!

Me & My Muse – Day 4613: A Borrower…

There is a world among us. A world that typically goes unnoticed.  It is a world crawling with tiny insects. A world with plenty of hiding places.  Hiding places full of minuscule collections of food that would go unnoticed in our eyes.

More importantly, there is a world full of little people.  I’m talking tiny people that can fit in the palm of your hand.  These people are known as Borrowers, and if you find one, please leave it be. All they ask is to use a little bit of your resources, as such resources are needed for them to survive.

This is another setup for The Secret World of Arrietty, another classic written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

Muse: I especially love this one. I think that it would be fun to be a Borrower.

Twin Muse:  I guess we can do this again.  Weren’t we small already?  I think it would be fun.

Then why don’t you be one?  You were one last year!

Muse: I know. I don’t know if I want to do that again.  I guess that it would just be kind of…silly.

Twin Muse:  Oh, come on twinnie!

Suit yourself. You’re the one who suggested it.

Muse: Anyway, let me know when it comes on. I’m going to do some reading. Have a good day at work!

Twin Muse:  I will be playing some video games.  Enjoy your shift at work!

I certainly will.

Today’s high is going to be 26 degrees and the silver lining is seeing The Secret World of Arrietty later today.

To those of you who love Borrowers, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: Me? A Borrower? Maybe for just a little bit…Whoa! my book almost crushed me! That was close! This is fun, so far. I think I’ll explore my now-bigger house for a while…

Twin Muse:  Here we go again!  Wow!  This is fun!  Especially knowing that I’m not going to be even smaller tomorrow.  That video game controller almost crushed me!  This is fun!

Me & My Muse – Day 4612: A Fish…

What do you get when you cross The Little Mermaid with Pinocchio? You get Ponyo, the next classic written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

The high today is going to be 34 degrees and the silver lining will be seeing this movie tonight.

To those of you who like Miyazaki movies, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: I love that movie, too. I can’t wait until tonight!

Twin Muse:  Same here!  I love Ponyo!

Me & My Muse – Day 4611: An Airplane…

Have you ever wanted to fly?  Those of us with the freedom to can.  With the freedom to fly, you can soar into the heavens, achieving whatever dream you want to achieve.

But suppose you can’t fly.  You try to, but can’t.  Your feet are glued to the ground.  There is no way that you can defeat the laws of gravity.  You know that you can’t fly, but why?  You are nearsighted.  Nearsighted of all the dreams that are before you.  Nearsighted of all the dreams that are around you and above you.  You want to fly, but how do you fly?

An idea springs into your head.  You may not be able to fly, but you can give others the ability to fly.  So you make it a dream to design the best “flying machines” in the world.  Flying machines that will give all the ability to fly and touch their dreams in the heavens.  You work on these machines really hard and are praised for your accomplishments.  You may not be able to fly, but somebody notices you in the distance.  They utter a profound declaration that blows over your eyes like the wind at the highest altitudes.  To you, you may not have been flying but in reality you were flying the whole time.  You were flying without even realizing it.  And when this realization hits you, your eyes become awash with tears.  You flew.   You touched the heavens.  You made their dreams possible.  All thanks to your “flying machines”.

If you haven’t guessed by now, this is a setup for tonight’s anime movie.  The Wind Rises,  another classic written and Directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

Muse:  The Wind Rises?  It’s pretty good, having seen it a few times…

Twin Muse:  I like Jiro’s dreams and his meetings with Caproni.

I know.  I like how it turned out.

Twin Muse:  I also like how it’s a historical movie. It follows the life of Jiro Horikoshi, designer of the Mitsubishi A5M fighter aircraft and its successor, the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, both used for the Empire of Japan during World War II.

With that, the movie takes place during the early 20th century.  It’s another historical movie, like Steamboy.

Anyway, I think we’re done talking about the movie.

Muse:  Done talking about the movie? Alright.  I’m going to read now.  Let me know when it comes on, as I want to see it with you!

Twin Muse:  And I’m going to play my video games.  I’ll want to see it too, so please let me know!

I certainly will.  Don’t worry.

Today’s high is going 39 degrees and the silver lining is seeing The Wind Rises later on.

To those of you who love to fly, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  With all his talk about flying, I’m creating my own special aircraft.  There.  Time to test it out!  This is going to be fun!  Now boarding Muse Airlines…

Twin Muse:  Good luck, twinnie!  I’ll let you know if the flight was successful!

Me & My Muse – Day 4610: An Invention…

We may be in the age of technology, but go back 160 years.  Things were a lot different back then.  This was the age of the Industrial Revolution.  The age of steam powered engines.  Back then, it was the age of steam.

In Russian Alaska, the ultimate fuel for steam powered engines was discovered.  A pure mineral water capable of producing a copious amount of steam.  This steam was harnessed by Edward Steam, and placed into one of his inventions.  A steam ball capable of storing very large amounts of pressurized steam.

As you may guess, this is in anticipation for tonight’s anime movie.  Steamboy, a timeless classic written and directed by Katsuhiro Otomo.

Muse:  Steamboy?  I like that movie, too!  That Scarlett is kind of like that Muse that I used to possess a couple years ago.  I like her character, since she gets better later in the movie.

Twin Muse:  I like the romantic scene in the house of mirrors, where Scarlett asks Ray which one of her he likes the best.

I know.  I now need to get started with my day.

Muse:  I’ll let you do that.  Time for some dusting!

Twin Muse:  I’ll do the vacuuming!

That’s it.  Enjoy the day off and watch Steamboy tonight.

Today’s high is going to be 43 degrees and the silver lining is watching Steamboy tonight.

To those of you who like steampunk movies, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I can’t wait until tonight!  The music is good in this one, too…

Twin Muse:  And the animation is breathtaking!

Me & My Muse – Day 4609: A City…

Not just any city, but the city of Metropolis, where the mighty building called the Ziggurat is being constructed.  When finished, it will be the greatest marvel mankind has ever achieved.  It will challenge the heavens and will pave the way for a glorious future.  A future where man’s influence of power knows no limits.

Actually, this is in anticipation for the first movie of Anime Movie Night.  For nine (now eleven, with the addition of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and Castle in the Sky ) nights, I will be watching an anime movie.  The first one is Metropolis, a movie written by Katsuhiro Otomo and directed by Rintaro.

Muse:  Metropolis?  I love that movie!  I am…who?

Twin Muse:  Who am…I?

Yes.  I also like Tima in the movie.  Well, I have this day to tend to.  After that, the movie will begin.

Muse:  I’ll let you do that.  Time to get ready!

Twin Muse:  Take your time!  We’ll be waiting!

That’s about today in a nutshell.  Go to to my friends.  And, of course, watch Metropolis tonight.

Today’s high is going to be 53 degrees and the silver lining is watching Metropolis tonight.

To those of you who love anime movies, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I especially like the ending song.  I can’t stop loving you…

Twin Muse: I’ve made up my mind…

Me & My Muse – Day 4608: Fat Tuesday Hangover…

Not to confuse anyone, this hangover had no alcohol involved. It was purely food.

Having eaten so much food yesterday, I feel like a wreck. My body is still trying to get back to normal after eating more than what I’m used to eating. Things should get back to normal today.

Time to get ready. I will then go to bed on the early side. That’s a pretty much a preview of what this Wednesday is going to look like.

Today’s high is going to be 45 degrees and the silver lining is being able to take it easy.

To those of you who overdid it yesterday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: *burp* Too many paczki… *groan* I think I’m going to lie down for a while…

Twin Muse: Ughhhh….No more paczki…I need to sleep this off…

Me & My Muse – Day 4607: Mardi Gras and Toastmasters Meeting Tonight…

Once again, this entry’s going to be short.

Today is Mardi Gras. In addition to that, I will be going to a Toastmasters Meeting. When that is over, I will be eating more food and taking it easy.

Today’s high is going to be 43 degrees and the silver lining is enjoying the extra food today.

To those of you who love to pile away the calories on Fat Tuesday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse: I’m not sparing any calories today! Time for another two paczki….

Twin Muse:  Two paczki?  Oh, come on!  I’m having four more!
