Me & My Muse – Day 3883: A Castle…

We have all heard of castles in fairy tales.  But of all the tales that we heard, how many actually consisted of castles that could move?  There is such a castle.  But from our understanding of castles and physics, castles would require a tremendous amount of energy to move.

But what if I told you that this castle wasn’t big at all? It isn’t.  In fact, this castle that I speak of is rather small.  Taking that into consideration, a smaller castle wouldn’t require that much energy.  I mean, I’m not talking about Neuschwanstein Castle, Versailles or even Cinderella Castle.  I’m talking about a very small castle – Howl’s Moving Castle.

And to describe that castle, we need to explain the source of that castle’s energy.  After all, I said that it could move, right?  This castle is powered by a fire demon named Calcifer bound by a curse with a wizard named Howl.  The wizard is literally heartless, because of his wanting to save him.  As a result, Calcifer consumed Howl’s heart, making Howl bound to him.

Can the curse be broken?  Fortunately, a hatter named Sophie enters the picture.  The result is an unforgettable tale of love, friendship and adventure.  This is Howl’s Moving Castle, the next movie I’ll be watching written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

Twin Muse:  Another classic that I enjoy.

Why are you so small?

Twin Muse:  Oops!  I forgot to change back.

I guess you did become small after all…

Twin Muse:  I couldn’t help myself.  I had to do it again.  It was fun exploring my gigantic house and sleeping in my pillow, using the pillowcase as a blanket.

What did you use as a pillow?

Twin Muse:  There wasn’t one.  I just laid on the pillow….

Anyway, I need to get this show on the road.

Twin Muse:  I’ll let you do that.  Time to get another chapter read!  Let me know when you start the movie!  Last night, I saw the movie.  Did you see me?

I didn’t.

Twin Muse:  I was hiding.  I thought that it would be silly if you saw me small.  Anyway, time to read!

With me having to get ready to search for work this morning, I will cut this short.

Today’s high is going to be 38 degrees and the silver lining is watching Howl’s Moving Castle tonight.

To those of you who like moving castles, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Twin Muse:  Reading small is much more fun.  I can run up and down the pages, looking at the large text.  It’s also good exercise.  Here I go!
