I woke up again and I glanced at my Muse. Like all other times before, I sat there, anxiously waiting for her to change into her next form. From what she was in the beginning, she has underwent many forms. Some forms that were not very fun and other forms that were a lot of fun. Each form was unique, and special reflection of her creativity. With it being past the 2000-day mark, what will she turn into next? Each form was different, and I was hoping that this form was a good one. I most certainly don’t want it to be bad. Having to deal with her being a Dark Muse was a tough pill for me to swallow, but I managed to do so in the end. From her first 1,000 days, she has been herself, a rich Muse, a shy Muse, a virtuous Muse, a fairy Muse, an evil Muse, an angel Muse, a fat Muse, and a superhero Muse.
Then after the 1,000 mark, she began to transform sporadically. This was orchestrated by the Adversary, who used the Dark Muses to transform into various forms to tire her out to death. This led to the next 1,000 days, which began by her rebirth as a baby Muse. From there, she became a Time Lady Muse, a Princess Muse, a Jedi Muse, a Giant Muse, a Child Muse, an Iron Muse, a Mermaid Muse, and the Dark Muse.
My Muse slept peacefully, still in her Dark Muse form. As she slept, she began to flash in colors that reflected every spectrum of the rainbow. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. She flashed every one of these colors with increased intensity. Her form grew to her normal size as she continued to flash.
After all that, she yawned. My Muse began to wake up. What could she possibly be now?
When I looked at her, she looked pretty much the same. She looked no different than what she was before. Just her normal form. No special transformation. Nothing.
My Muse yawned and smiled as she looked at me. “Can you tell me what just happened?”
I shrugged my shoulders. “You did transform, but back to your original form. You went through all these different colors before you changed back.”
My Muse smiled. “Good. I’m finally back to my original self. So does this happen every 1,000 days? I was my original self on day 1 and 1,000…”
“Apparently,” I said, shrugging my shoulders. “I’m not really an expert when it comes to the transformation cycles of a Muse…”
“it’s okay,” she told me. “I don’t expect you to be. I’m just glad that I got to take a break of that…”
“But you didn’t 1,000 days ago,” I told her. “Each day, you were a different form…”
My Muse nodded. “That was because all the Dark Muses were inside me. They kept changing my form every day to tire me out. You remember that. That was in my past life…Something that I don’t really want to remember…”
“So no surprise forms tomorrow?” I asked her.
“You tell me!” she said with a frown. “I can’t predict what’s going to happen.
And just like that, My Muse got up from her bed.
I glanced at her room that she was about to exit, and caught the door in mid-swing. ‘Are you getting more of that leftover anniversary cake?” I asked her. “Not without me. We’re both going to finish that together!”
My Muse nodded. “That’s fine, but just let me have the first piece! I never got any, and there’s still a lot left. Let’s finish it off!”
I left with my Muse, smiled, and let out a sigh of relief.
My Muse is officially back. No Dark Muse this time. Just the same old Muse that I know and love. And with no new transformations, I can finally relax.
As I helped myself to the leftover anniversary cake with my Muse, I smiled.
With this day coming to an end, let the next 100 days begin!
