Today was pretty interesting. This morning, a person hasn’t been at my work for three years came back. It was fun seeing her again. It seemed like she picked up everything pretty fast so it was great having her back.
After work, I went and got my tires rotated. This took almost two hours, so I killed some time going to a computer store and getting something to eat. With this computer getting old, and the window deselecting at various intervals (argh…there is goes again!), it is time that I start fresh with a new laptop. This computer can then get fixed. At least get its life prolonged until I can get another desktop.
After getting my meal, I went back to Discount Tire, where I spent the remainder of my half-hour waiting.
I then came home and conducted some Toastmasters business. My Muse has an hour before she goes to bed, so I think that I’ll visit her…
*teleports to Muse’s house*
Muse: It’s Kyle! Hi Kyle!
*Muse runs up to me and hugs me*
Wow! This is the oldest I’ve seen her! How old is she?
Remedy: Muse is 33 months old today. She is 32 inches tall and weighs 25.5 pounds. That’s the height of an 18 month old and the weight of a 22 month old.
Has she been minding?
Nurture: She’s been getting into everything today. She’s been saying a lot of new words and is speaking in complete sentences.
Is she thriving?
Nurture: I’ve been trying. I keep showing her the potty, but she doesn’t seem to be interested.
It has to be has to be that Dark Muse. With her sleeping, maybe we can finally make some progress…
Nurture: We will. I hope she stays asleep forever…
Muse: …Mmm….Eeee! Tee hee! I’m awake now!
*gasp* She’s…awake?
Remedy: …I-impossible! I gave her the strongest solution!
Muse: Yummy milk! Can I have some more?
Nurture: Honey, hold on. You’ll get more milk when I get you ready for bed.
Muse: No! I want it now!
*a big baby bottle of milk appears in Muse’s hand*
Muse: There! Tee hee! Yummy milk! I drink it all! Tee hee!
*Muse drinks all the milk*
Muse: (quietly sighing) Ahhh! That was good! Change me, mommy!
Nurture: I just did!
Muse: Change me again! Change me now!
Nurture: Just a second, honey!
Muse: Now, or I’ll cry! Wah-hah-hah-hah…
*storm clouds fill the room and begin raining heavy torrents of tears*
Nurture: Okay! You’re changed, honey! I used my abilities…
Muse: Again! Change me again!
Nurture: Stop going! I just did it!
Muse: Again! Again! Now!
Nurture: There! I did it again!
Muse: Thanks mommy! Now I want more yummy milk!
*a big baby bottle of milk appears in Muse’s hand*
Muse: There! Tee hee! Tell me a bedtime story!
Nurture: Okay…Then let’s get you ready for bed…
Remedy: I think that this is a good time for you to leave, Kyle. I don’t know what went wrong, but we’ll talk tomorrow, okay?
Okay. Bye Remedy!
*teleports back to reality*
That was scary. If that was Dark Muse at 33 months, I hate to see her any older! I would love a chance to stand up to her. She wouldn’t stand a chance against my One Privilege!
Why didn’t the solution work? Did the Dark Muse figure out a way to neutralize its effects? I hope that Remedy figures this out…
Today’s high is going to be 84 degrees and the silver lining is getting my tires rotated today.
To those of you who like have rotated and re-balanced tires, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
*Nurture places Muse into crib*
Nurture: Good night, honey!
*Nurture quickly leaves room*
Muse: Good night, mommy! Tee hee! There’s my yummy milk. Where’s my pacie?
*a big pacifier appears in Muse’s hand*
Muse: There it is! Tee hee! Tomorrow will be fun! Tee hee!
