Me & My Muse – Day 333: Thai Curry

I have been craving this dish since my friend Jeff came over on Monday.  Why, you ask?

When dinner was planned for the night, the original plan was that I would get Asian Express for everyone in the family (except my sister, since she has all her healthy meals cooked ahead of time).  With my friend coming over, this changed the plans for dinner.  We would be having Sanford Pizza instead with my friend’s traditional favorite: an extra large Margherita pizza with chicken and bacon.

As much as I like this pizza, I was actually craving my Chicken Thai Curry at Asian Express.  Tonight, my craving will finally be satisfied.  It will be me, a bowl of white rice and a delicious styrofoam container of Chicken Thai Curry to pour over the rice.  So spicy, yet so good.

But a prize like this is not so easily obtained.  Before I even get this curry, I have to earn it.  This will be done in two ways.  First, I will be mowing the back lawn.  After that, I will be working a 3-8 shift at the “pizza pit”.  All the time that I am doing this, I will be thinking of the satisfyingly spicy curry.  The delicious sliced green peppers.  The spicy coconut milk broth with the rice…Ah…My taste buds are excited now.

Ghost Muse:  Thai Curry?  I just had some.

No you didn’t.

Ghost Muse:  Don’t believe me?  Here is the evidence.

No!  Stop teasing me!  I can’t have this until tonight!

Ghost Muse:  Think of it as a motivator.  Now get out there.  I know that you have work to do.

Indeed.  I don’t have much more time remaining, and I still want to make lunch.

Ghost Muse:  With my early lunch done, I think that I’ll do some more reading…

While she reads, I will be giving the lawn another “green haircut”.  Thai curry waits for me at the end of the day.  I can hardly wait!

Today’s high is going to be 79 degrees and the silver lining is indulging myself in a delicious bowl of Chicken Thai Curry.

To those of you who love spicy dishes, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I know what to write.  Here it goes…Dear Kyle…
