So what does this mean?  Am I having an Open House?  No.  But my Toastmaster club is.  Having that said, some quick preparation is underway.  I have a joke to find and a statement to prepare for.  It’s basically a short statement that I’ll be making tonight regarding what I consider to be the most inspirational aspect of the  Toastmasters district conferences that I attended.  Now I have been to numerous conferences, so this should be easy….

 

Muse:  Open house?  My house is open!  Tee hee!

No!  Not that kind of open house!  I don’t mean opening a house wide open!

Muse:  You don’t?  That’s too bad.  I already opened my house!  Tee hee!

The question is, can you close it?

Muse:  Yes.  That’s easy.  Tee hee!

Um, can you actually do something else?  I actually want to prepare for this, and I want to get to some creative writing as well….

Muse:  That’s because you never did any yesterday.  Tee hee!  See?  I told YA!

Well, what you think is more important?  Writing, or looking for work?

Muse:  Writing!  Tee hee!  I already have plenty of work!

Not me, unfortunately.  I actually went to Michigan works yesterday instead of writing.  Don’t you think that it’s more important to get something started?

Muse: You tell me!  I don’t have to do a thing!  All I do is make creativity easier for you!

It is!  Writing takes a back seat when it comes to work.

Muse:  If only you could make money writing!

Yeah.  If ONLY….Until that happens, I need a REAL day job.  One that actually pays enough to put a roof over my head….

Muse:  So you can stop living with your mommy and daddy….Tee hee….

It’s no laughing matter.  With this economy, a number of adults have been found to move back with their parents.  It’s a sad story indeed….

Muse:  Maybe they’re just LAZY….

Or maybe it’s because the job that they had was eliminated, because the company could not afford to pay them.  Companies are reducing hours, which is hurting everyone else in the process….

Muse:  Well they should just WORK!  Come on!

If only if it were that easy.  Problems like this take a lot of time to resolve….The only thing I suggest to everyone who is in that boat is to not give up.  Now, can I end this?

Muse:  No.  I wanna keep talking!  Tee hee!  Hey!  I wasn’t….

 

There.  Back where she belongs.  Now I can actually get something accomplished.

Today’s high is going to be 68 degrees and the silver lining will be making more progress on my stories, after I clear a couple obstacles….
