What countdown, you ask? If you look at the calendar, you would notice that we only have 10 more days before Summer is over. That’s ten more days to enjoy the warmer weather.
Now a lot of you will argue that it’s already Fall because school is back in session. My argument to that is the 95 degree day that we had a couple days ago. That was Summer’s last stand, and no, Muse. I’m not referring to Summer’s lemonade stand that you avidly support.
My other argument is that the weather needs to cool down first. When that happens, the leaves will start to change color. Then it will be Fall…..
Muse: And when that happens, I get to play in the leaves! Tee hee!
Or not, since I have to rake them all up.
Muse: Alright. Fine! I’ll play with the leaves in the woods!
But it’s still Summer! You’re kind of getting ahead of yourself!
Muse: I want to be prepared. Tee hee! I’m practicing for the next season!
Practice? Who needs to practice for a season?
Muse: I do! I want to be an expert leaf pile jump in-er!
Leaf pile jump in-er? Learn some grammar!
Muse: Why should I? That title would work perfectly in my world!
But we’re in my world, so you need proper grammar.
Muse: Whatever! Now I need to practice! Hopefully, I’ll find a golden leaf. Tee hee!
Hopefully not. We don’t need you to turn into Autumn….
Muse: But I like Autumn! I think that it would be fun to become her!
Believe me. You don’t. She is pretty devious.
Muse: Well, I’m going to practice and play in the leaves now! Tee hee….
Practicing for Fall? Only my Muse would do something like that.
Anyway, the high today is going to be 75 degrees and the silver lining will be more progress on my story.
To those of you who are clinging on to the last days of Summer, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: What’s that sparkling? Could it be? It is! I found the golden leaf! Tee hee….
