Me & My Muse – Day 54: Can’t Wake Up

What else can I say after what I’ve been through last night?  I’ve pinched myself over and over again, and there is no waking up from this.

Where to begin?  My Muse is a magnet for nightmares.  Three times she woke me up last night, all because of a nightmare.  During a couple of instances, she wanted to sleep with me, but I refused.  During the second nightmare, she wet the bed.  I had to wash all of her bedding and her pajamas.  And after the third nightmare, she didn’t feel safe in her room at all.  She wanted to sleep with me.  It took a long talk to convince her to get back in her bed.

Also,  my Muse woke me up again, right after I fell asleep.  She was squeezed up beside me in my bed!  She’s not supposed to take up any volume, but I guess she wanted to show off her Tangible rules.  I tried several times to wake her up.  After what seemed like forever, she finally woke up.  I told her to go back to her bed.  She did, but very reluctantly.  I had to argue with her several times before she listened.  Her desire to wear different personalities is wearing me out.  She’s an adult, but only physically.  If we looked at things mentally, being an adult to her is optional.  With her exercising her freedom of choice to behave however she wants, it’s becoming a major headache.

And as far as entering the Realm of Imagination goes, I can just forget it.  Until she’s stable, there is no going back to that place.

Muse:  *sob* AHH HAH HAH HAH!  I had another bad dream!

You’re soaked, again!  Here.  Let me go wash everything, again!

Muse:  I can’t help it!  *sniff*  I had a scary dream….

Here.  Go get a shower.  I’m washing your clothes.

Muse:  Okay.  Shower time!  Tee hee!

There.  While she’s taking a shower, I’ll try to end this.  As it is, I’m really tired as I’m typing this.  I haven’t gotten much sleep with her whining and keeping me up most of the night.

Today’s high is going to be be 80 degrees and the silver lining is working more on my story.  I made a lot of progress on the Zorpozian language last night, despite my Muse’s nightmares.  In fact, I just finished before her second nightmare.  Oh, and I lost count.  She had three nightmares since I went to bed.  Two prior to that.  The one you saw was her sixth one.

To all of you who have ever dealt with a child experiencing night terrors,  I hope that all of you…..

Muse:  I’m done with my shower!  All done!  Tee hee!

Already? I was just about finished with this entry!

Muse:  Let’s make it longer!

Oh alright….So what are we today?  A little younger than yesterday, are we?

Muse:  Say what you want, but I love this kind of freedom.  It’s so amazing.  Tee hee!

Amazing to look like an adult but act less than half your age?  You’re pretty stupid!

Muse:  Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me!

A juvenile saying.  You just proved my point.

Muse:  And I don’t care!  Let’s watch a DVD!

What one do you want to see?

Muse:  I wanna see My Little Pony!  I love that show!

Which one?

Muse:  The new one.  Friendship is Magic.  Tee hee!

So we’re five today?

Muse:  No!  Older!

Okay.  Just about.  Maybe a couple years older.  *sigh*  Did you just get into this or something?  How many episodes have you seen?

Muse:  All of them!  I’ve been watching them in your head during my meals.  Pinkie Pie’s my favorite.  Tee hee!

Pinkie who?

Muse:  She’s the most awesome pony ever!  You should watch an episode with me!

I am not.  You already made me stay up all night with your nightmares.  And don’t try the car trick, because it’s not going to work this time.

Muse:  I don’t need to.  I can just tell everyone that you LOVE My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

That’s slander!  Besides, the real test would be the trivia test, and I would totally fail it.

Muse:  I don’t need you to know the trivia to tell them how much you LOVE the show….

I don’t.   My word is valid because they don’t trust someone like you.

Muse:  How do you know?  Everyone.  He LOVES the show.  He just denies it!  He knows everything about the show, and he’ll fail a trivia quiz on purpose!

Lies!  Why don’t we prove this with a polygraph, because I would totally pass that!

Muse:  He also loves teddy bears and stuffed animals!  He keeps a large collection in his room….

Everything that you speak of are things that are true about you.  You LOVE My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.  You love teddy bears and stuffed animals.  Stop making lies!

Muse:  Fine!  Then I’ll tell them some REAL secrets about you!  Secrets that are really embarrassing that you would never want me to tell!  Kyle has….

Stop!  Let’s watch the DVD!  I’ll watch as many as you want!  Just don’t tell the secrets!

Muse:  Tee hee!  Thanks!  I knew you would see things my way.

Yeah.  With slanderous blackmail.  Let’s watch the DVD.

Muse: Yay!  I love it when I get whatever I want!  This keeps getting better….

Muse:  A picture?  No!  That’s cheating!  Post a video link!

No!

Muse:  Post it, or I’ll tell them all your secrets!

Fine…..*sigh*

There.  We watched the DVD.  Up there is the opening.  Everyone.  I hope you have a fantastic day….. *sigh*

Muse:  That episode was fun!  Let’s watch another one!
