While I certainly wasn’t present on your birthday a year ago, I am most certainly present with you now.

Mom is at home and we’ll be able to celebrate her birthday as a family.  She is enjoying her new gift:  A Garmin Vivo Smart 4 Smart Activity Tracker.  I wished her a happy birthday and she has yet to open her card from my brother and I.  I don’t know if she’ll have cake, but I know that there will be ice cream.

Today, I will be going over to grandma’s with mom, dad, and my brother to join my sister, my brother-in-law, my niece, and grandma for a birthday dinner of pulled pork sandwiches.  After that, we will be going home.

So, you’re all probably wondering what has happened to me.  What has happened to Kyle and has he fallen off the face of the earth?  To answer the first question, I will get to that.  There has been a lot of personal things in my life that I have had to sort through.  I will certainly explain it in future posts.  And to answer the second question, no.  I did not fall off the face of the earth.

Another thing that you’re probably going to be confused about is the numbering of the entries.  Why am I skipping 255 entries? (Technically, it’s 256 since I left out an entry in December.)

Muse:  I was wondering that too.  Are you ever going to get back to that?  There are so many missed entries!

I know.  And wow, you’re very small.  Almost the size of an atom!  Fortunately, I can see you with my Creator’s Privileges…

Muse:  I know you have other reasons as to why you haven’t updated.  Just hang in there and know just one thing.  You ARE going to get through this…

I know.  It’s a process that I’m still working on.  So, what’s the plan to restore the Walker Estate and Me & My Muse?  The story arcs will be worked on and written and be separated by post numbers.  It’s a gradual process but it’s all going to happen eventually.

Muse:  Is there going to be a Tower of Muses?  The next one is in a week!

Not necessarily.  The priority is to restore this blog.  The short and choppy posts will be replaced by longer ones.  I may keep the older ones and use post the new ones as “B” entries.  That’s the plan moving forward.  Consider this a trial entry as I am trying to get things back on track.

Today’s high is going to be 88 degrees and the silver lining is it being my mom’s 62nd birthday.
