Me & My Muse – Day 2632: Summer Outro

Once again, the time has come to say goodbye to summer.

For 2020, what events were the most memorable?  What were the most memorable events in the Summer of 2020?

First of all, I went to the church business meeting, wished mom a happy 61st birthday, attended the outdoor service, my cousins came over and I went to an outdoor Toastmasters meeting, volunteered at Emmanuel Baptist Church, being able to visit my parent’s house again,  spent Father’s Day at mom and dad’s house, Platinuuming Final Fantasy XIII, writing the Fountain Blog, attending Grandpa’s Funeral, going up north for the Fourth of July, celebrating seven years of Me & My Muse, getting a popsicle at home, having enchiladas and tacos at mom and dad’s with Ryan, going to church with grandma, getting help from mom and dad at home, seeing the Elder Forum, getting a free Slurpee and spending time with my brother, having a meatloaf dinner with Ryan and my parents, voting at the Michigan Primary and having the DCECU Meeting, going to Family Life Radio’s Ice Cream Cruise and visiting mom and dad,  going to the outdoor service and having pizza at grandma’s, celebrating my 36th birthday with my family, having dinner at Real Seafood, celebrating Harper’s First Birthday, going up north with my brother, celebrating mom and dad’s 42nd anniversary, visiting Grove Tea Lounge and East End, going to Men’s Accountability Group and having dinner with grandma, going to worship night at Hopevale Church, going up north for Labor Day weekend, 9/11, and watching World Trade Center.

With Cold Stone Creamery still gone and it still being COVID, I will be getting a Reese’s McFlurry at McDonald’s later on. I will also be eating a Klondike Bar at home.  Both will be gone before I know it.  Summer 2020 was the same way.  Gone just like that.  As I say goodbye to Summer 2020, I’ll admit that this summer was a big letdown because of the pandemic and the tyrannical overreach in Michigan.  There was some fun, with some hot weather. For the most part, it was a little wet in June, dry in July, and mild in August.  There were a bunch of fairly hot days but there could’ve been a lot more really hot ones.  With Summer 2021 just 9 months away, what will it bring?  Will it even come?  Who knows? I am not really sure. There is no telling.

Farewell, Summer 2020.  You were quite a memorable summer.

Twin Muse:  Kyle!  She’s been sleeping for too long again and I escaped.

That’s good to hear. Now, what did you think of my Summer Outro?

Twin Muse:  It was wonderful.

Thanks.  It didn’t take much effort on my part.

Twin Muse:  What do you mean?  Are you saying that you recycled it?

Shh!

Twin Muse:  Well, it’s longer than yesterday at least.

And it’s a good way to end this summer.  By reflecting on it.  Time to enjoy myself and enjoy what’s left of the day.

Twin Muse:  Okay! Enjoy the rest of your day!

Wasn’t this summer a let down?  Even though it wasn’t great to everyone, it did have its ups and downs.

Today’s high is going to be 71 degrees and the silver lining is having a Reeses Mcflurry.

To those of you who made it through Summer of 2020, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Twin Muse:  I had a memorable summer!  I went from a Time Traveler (which was my sister) to myself.  I wonder when I’m going to wake up?  I must carry out my plan! Hee hee!
