Today, I just got word from the one who is repairing my car.
The asking price? Around $900 to fix the car.
Okay. If I was made of money, I could just tear a few 100’s from my palms and plop them on his desk. But with my plight as a professional pizza maker at Little Caesars, that is going to be a little difficult.
As the situation is already, business is starting to slow down at work. As a result, everyone is getting reduced hours. Myself included.
There’s only one thing to do at a time like this. Pray, and search like crazy for a another job. I have checked my job search filters on my email and have checked a few local businesses. Dow and the hospital to name a few.
The urgency is becoming exceedingly great. I need an opportunity. If you have a lead, I’ll look at it. My LinkedIn page can be found here.
I have a journalism background, my passion is writing, and I have a broad skill set. Toastmasters has given me the opportunity to manage teams, work with people, give presentations to various audiences, learn effective problem solving strategy, and learn good teamwork. It is a learning laboratory where I continue to hone my leadership and practice my presentation skills.
And now the wait begins. I am going to check out Kelly Services and try not to think of the pain that is coming from my savings account. 900 dollars. Ouch!
Today’s high is going to be 18 degrees and the silver lining is having the evening to search for an opportunity that will yield higher returns in my future.
To those of you who are able to afford painful car repair bills, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: 900 dollars? Wow. I hope that you find something soon! Bills like that really make it hard on your job. (I’m almost over this cold!) Hang in there!
