What makes tonight special? For my Toastmasters Club, I will be going to a Member’s appreciation night.  It will involve recognition of different members and their achievements from the last club year.  Having gone to a couple in the past, this one should be fun.

 

Muse:  Kyle!

What?  You’re an adult again?  How?

Muse:  What are you talking about, Kyle?  I’ve always been an adult!  Guess what we have to take care of?

Let me guess.  A baby, right?

Muse:  Oh!  How did you know?

Um…I’m good at guessing?

Muse:  This way!

She’s in my house?

Muse:  Through this hallway!

*follows Muse through a long and winding hallway*

Is the hallway supposed to be this long?

Muse:  Of course!  What’s your problem?  Anyway, watch your step.  This next room is gigantic…

Whoa…It’s…The Dark Muse?

Muse:  Actually, Dark Baby Muse.  She’s 300 feet tall.  Isn’t it amazing?

No.  That means I would either have to use my One Privilege or make myself grow just to take care of her.

Muse:  So?  That’s the fun part!

Let’s see…Come to think of it, I don’t think I visited her today.  She’s currently 27.5 months today.  Before she grew, she was 31 inches tall and she weighed 24 pounds.  The height of a 16 month old and the weight of a 19 month old.  But at her current size, she weighs 12,583 tons.

Dark Baby Muse:  Change me, mommy!

Muse:  Oh.  She wants me to do it.  Just one sec…

*a few minutes later*

Muse:  There you go!  All changed, deary!

Something doesn’t seem right.  Why are you so…off?

Muse:  What do you mean, Kyle?

And why is the minute hand on the clock spinning really fast?

Muse:  It always does that.  Duh!

No it doesn’t!  This is a dream, and I’m pretty sure that it’s not mine.  It’s yours!

Muse:  What are you talking about?  I’m standing right here.  I can’t be dreaming!

Oh yes you are, and I can prove it.  You’re still a two year old, taking your nap as we speak.

Muse:  No I’m not!  We have a new baby to take care of, so let’s do that, okay?

No.  I’m shattering this illusion.  Leave dream now.  One Privilege, ENGAGE!

*Muse wakes up*

Muse: I dream good!  Tee hee!

What am I doing here in your room?  And how did I end up in your dream?

Muse:  I always think you, daddy…I always think you.  Tee hee!

*Muse flashes brightly, with a aura surrounding her*

Well, I want you to stop.  You are starting to become more and more powerful, and I’m starting to appear in your dreams now.  In fact, I don’t think that I went to work.  I was in your dream the whole time!

Muse:  I goed!  Change me daddy!

Just a second…

*a few minutes later*

There.  Do you think that you can stop flashing?  I almost went blind!

*Muse flashes brighter*

Muse:  I like the yummy light!  Tee hee!

Do you know where your mommy and daddy is?

Muse: *sob*  Mommy gone!!!!

Where did mommy go?

Muse:  Mommy gone!!!!

That’s not answering my question.  Where did she go?

Muse:  I don’t know!  Mommy left!  Tee hee!

Where’s daddy?

Muse:  Right here!  You’re my daddy!  Tee hee!

No I’m not.  Remedy is your father.

Muse:  You are my daddy!  Tee hee!

I think that someone is tired.  One Privilege, ENGAGE!

Muse:  So tired…*snore*

There.  I had to put her to sleep.  She was being troublesome.  It seems like she’s always the most destructive when she’s two.  And she’s only getting worse.  I wish that I could find her parents and get the Dark Muse out…

*teleports back to reality*

Time to get ready for tonight. It should be a lot of fun.

Today’s high is going to be 82 degrees and the silver lining is going to the member’s appreciation night.
