I hate pennies. Here is my unfortunate story regarding them.
Just this morning at work, I counted the change fund. When I took the pennies out a few were coming out of the rolls. Now this normally wouldn’t be a problem with paper rolls. But these rolls were made of cheap plastic and their ability to hold any coin is pathetic.
So with these rolls, a few pennies were leaking out of one and half of the pennies were leaking out of another. I even found a third one with the pennies starting to spill out. Really?
So out of frustration, I put $2.00 worth of pennies in the register this morning. I wasn’t going to have a single one in the change fund bag. Why can’t the bank just give us some paper rolls like they used to? Those color coded ones were amazing! Red for pennies, blue for nickels, green for dimes, and orange for quarters. They were machine rolled and held a lot better. It was just heaven.
To make matters worse, I saw a bunch of pennies in the till later on in my shift. After counting them, i found it to be 177 pennies. I have to count this today?
But fortunately, this story has a happy ending. The other manager took care of some business at the bank and came back with some penny rolls. I rolled $2.00 worth of pennies, giving all of them a better home than the plastic prison they were trapped in. This manager also told me that there was some good news from the bank. By the end of the month, they will stop using plastic rolls for their coins. Why? Because the bank has had a lot of complaints about the plastic rolls from the customers. Oh really? To be honest, I have lost count of how many times those pennies fall out of their plastic rolls. Cost effective? Not at all. Maybe in money but not in time. But nonetheless, going back to paper will be good news for me.
So pennies, I hate you now, but that hatred will fade away very soon.
Muse: I gwow up! Tee hee!
*Muse doubles her size 10 times*
Hey! What are you doing? You’re supposed to be taking your nap!
Muse: No nap! No nap!
Oh yes you are taking a nap. Back to your room! One Privilege, ENGAGE!
*Muse teleports back to her room in the Realm of Imagination*
She’s also very very tired and her diaper’s changed. There. She’ll be sleeping and I won’t have to change her.
My Muse is 23 months today. She’s 30 inches tall and she weighs 22.18 pounds. The height of a 14 month old and the weight of a 15 month old. But since she grew, she is now 2560 feet tall and weighs 186,059 tons. I will reduce her size to normal later.
Time to get ready for ideation tonight. After that, I’ll be getting ready for tomorrow.
Today’s high is going to be 81 degrees and the silver lining is going to ideation tonight.
To those of you who like pennies, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: *snore* I no want nap…Tee hee… *snore*
