My appointment didn’t happen as planned.

It was set up yesterday.  Wednesday, 4:30 p.m. at Journey’s Coffee House.  I arrive early and wait until almost 5:00.

Something seemed off, so I walked three city blocks to The Arc and found out what was going on.  It turned out that the one that I was going to meet with was caught in a meeting, so we had to reschedule.  Things like this normally happen.  We get busy and sometimes overbooked.  I set a Monday appointment and walked out.

Upon walking back, a thought occurred to me.  Prior to the meeting I drank a mocha espresso while I was waiting.  What am I going to do with all of this energy?

 

Muse:  Well, you could use some of it talking to me.

You’re in a wheelchair now?

Muse:  Yes.  I’m paralyzed from the waist down.  This wheelchair and teleporting are the only ways that I can get around right now.

Are all your personal needed tended to?

Muse:  Oh.  Don’t worry about my needs.  There is someone that helps me with them.

So would you see this as a challenge?

Muse:  Not so much.  I’m actually used to it.  It’s kind of strange, but I actually feel like I’ve been this way since birth.

But you’ve only been like this for less than a day.

Muse;  I know.  Isn’t it strange?  Also, I will be a different form tomorrow, so it won’t be so bad…

So, do you feel anything beneath your waist?

Muse:  Um…no.  I can’t move my feet or my legs and I can’t feel anything.  I feel nothing.

Well, I was just curious since I’ve never been around someone like you.

Muse:  Well, to be honest, this wheelchair is kind of fun.  It’s electronic and motorized with a joystick!

Well, I’m going to relax now.

Muse:  I hope that you can.  Hopefully, I used some of your energy from your espresso.

You did.  I’m starting to feel the energy wear off now.

Muse:  I’m going back to my place for dinner.  I’ll see you tomorrow!

*Muse vanishes in a beam of light*

A handicapped Muse?  Well, not too handicapped, considering that she can teleport anywhere she wants.

Anyway, time to relax and prepare for tomorrow.

Today’s high is going to be 77 degrees and the silver lining is having the remainder of this day off.
