Me & My Muse – Day 1049: Muse of Mystery

To reflect, this day has been quite relaxing.  This is the typical Sunday where rest from the usual activity happens.  I went to a small group, attended church, and had breakfast with my grandparents.

What remains is my Life Group tonight.  It will likely be just me and the other person, since one of them is in the hospital.  I will definitely be praying for their recovery…

Muse:  Did somebody call for a…Doctor?

And you just so happen to be one, right?

Muse:  Actually, I am not.  But I just so happen to know The Doctor.

You don’t mean “The Doctor”.

Muse;  I do.  I grew up with him.  At least that’s what I can gather from this regeneration cycle…

Regeneration cycle?  Don’t tell me you’re not…

Muse:  I am.  I am a Time Lady.  This regeneration cycle has given me an altered state of mind, with new memories from a life that I have never experienced before.

Well, you clearly have experienced it, if you have such memories.

Muse:  And you are quite right with that.  At some point in history in the distant future, my existence is transported to Gallifrey, where I am reborn as a Gallifreyan.  That is where I have come to know The Doctor.  I have helped him in several of his endeavors, including the oh so terrible Time War.

And this is what is starting to boggle my mind.  I am suddenly starting to remember this history like it has been a fact.  History has been rewritten.  The ripple effect is happening…

Muse:  That may very well be the case, as these are the normal circumstances of time travel.  History has been rewritten, and it has been rewritten for me, it seems, according to your account.

Are you saying that you don’t believe me?

Muse:  I have been with The Doctor for hundreds of years.  I would not at all discount your theory.  In another parallel universe, I was never a Gallifreyan.  But in this particular one, things are quite different.

So do you have a companion?

Muse:  I travel alone.  I have my own mode of transport, of course.

Your own TARDIS…

Muse:  Yes.  But it’s more of a pink box for me.  It’s rather spacious if you were to enter…

Me & Muse:  Bigger on the inside…

Muse:  How did you just do that?  You repeated the exact same thing as me at the exact same time.  The odds of that occurring are 4,532,674,235,394,340 to 1.

Either that or mere coincidence.  I am a big fan of the show.

Muse:  I see.  So we’re famous in your universe?

Not you.  Just The Doctor.  The same ideas apply, though.

Muse:  I see.  Now is your friend going to be okay?

I hope so.  I will be praying for him.

Muse:  Aw, prayer.  The belief in a higher being of existence.  Something that I have tried to discredit so many times in the past but have been proven beyond a reasonable doubt in the more recent years.  Do pray.  He will listen.

I will be.  Now about you and the Doctor.  Can you tell me a little more about that?

Muse:  I would be glad to, sweetie, but where would the fun in that be?  Spoilers!  All that you really need to know is that it’s a purely a non-romantic relationship.  Very much like a brother and a sister…

You weren’t related, were you?

Muse:  By race, we were.  But relationships are viewed quite differently on Gallifrey.  It’s something that would be completely ridiculous to try to explain to someone as simple as you.

Try me.

Muse:  I won’t.  In doing so, I would elicit too many ridiculous questions that I don’t have time to answer.

You do.  You have a time machine.

Muse:  But I don’t have unlimited patience.  You will just have to wait and see…

Where are you going?

Muse:  Wherever that box decides to take me.  This will not be our last meeting.  I assure you that we will meet again.

When?

Muse:  For your Muse, it will be another regeneration cycle.  We will meet in another time.  This, I promise!

Bye…what can I call you?

Muse:  Just call me The Muse…

Bye Muse!

*Muse enters pink TARDIS and vanishes*

Well, that was interesting.  A time lady Muse.  One that was different from The Master (current alias: “Missy”).  She did bare some similarities to River Song, but she was not part human.  She was purely Gallifreyan.

It’s now time to continue with this day.  I will pray for my friend and take it easy until the Life Group tonight.

Today’s high is going to be 70 degrees and the silver lining is having this day off.

To those of you who are enjoying your Sunday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Yes.  I told him who I was.  I also told him about you.  No.  I don’t think that he will impose any danger for us.  Yes.  I am on my way.  I will be there soon.  Goodbye…Doctor…
