That’s pretty much this day in a nutshell.   I am in the midst of preparing for tonight’s speech and will be seeing a special guest tonight.  As for the speech, that’s the plan for today.

 

Remedy:  I couldn’t find Muse.  I did find this in her bedroom…

*Remedy hands me an Arabian lamp*

A lamp?  It looks pretty old.

Remedy:  Well, let me know if you find her!

I will!

*Remedy vanishes in a beam of light*

Well, let’s see.  There’s some dust on this lamp.  I’m going to need to rub it off…

*a large cloud of smoke escapes from the lamp, causing a bright spirit to emerge*

Muse:  You freed me!  What is your wish, master?

What is this?  I Dream of Jeannie?

Muse:  I don’t know, master.  I’ve been in that lamp for a very long time.  What is your wish?

That I do a very good job on my speech tonight.  I also wish that you and your lamp would return to your bedroom.

Muse:  Two wishes?  Thank you, master!  I will grant them right away!

*Muse strikes me with a beam and vanishes*

So she’s a genie now?  To be honest, I wouldn’t mind a whole cycle of that.  Anyways, time to get ready!

Today’s high is going to be 69 degrees and the silver lining is preparing for tonight’s speech.

Muse:  I’m sorry that I had to lie to him.  I was in the lamp for a very long time, but you freed me.

Remedy:  It’s okay.  I just wanted to see the surprise on his face when you came out.  Time for some more wishes!
