With my birthday over, it is now back to business as usual around here. Before we do that, I would like to recap on what I did for my birthday. Last night in particular.
First of all, the dinner. I had dinner at Genji Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar. I had the cupid roll, which was eel, avocado and creme cheese quick-fried in tempura batter, with BBQ eel sauce, spicy mayo sauce and green onions. I also had the hot Jamaican roll, which was octopus, cucumber, hot sauce and chili pepper on the outside. My dinner was Filet Mignon and Lobster Tail with fried rice and cooked vegetables. The dinner came with a bowl of onion soup, a salad with ginger dressing, the main course and a dessert, which was green tea ice cream. Since it was my birthday, the Genji staff sang “If you’re happy and you know it” in Japanese, and gave me a slice of cheesecake drizzled in chocolate syrup. Overall, the dinner was amazing.
I then had couple gifts from my sister. All of them were pretty nice. Two different Twix bars, three different Snickers bars and a gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings.
For the cards, I got one from my sister (A Hoops & Yo-Yo Card). The one from my parents was the Happy Birthday version of the “Hallelujah Chorus”.
After the gifts and cards came the cake and ice cream. The cake was a homemade quarter sheet chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. After my family and friend sang “Happy Birthday to You”, I blew out the candle with my brother, and we all ate cake and ice cream. I had a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of vanilla.
Overall, my birthday was fun…
Gabrielle: I am so glad that you enjoyed that last night. Did you like having your Muse back?
Yes I did, but I still miss her. That was only for one day. I would like her back permanently.
Gabrielle: Worry not. I am working on that.
Well while you are, I have another birthday dinner to prepare for.
Gabrielle: Another one? I’ll let you get ready for that one then…
Thank you.
With last night’s dinner done, I now need to get prepared for tonight’s dinner. My grandma is making a special birthday dinner for me and my brother. It will be Mexican food. Enchiladas, re-fried beans and some Key Lime pie for dessert. Overall, it should be pretty good.
Today’s high is going to be 86 degrees and the silver lining is having another birthday dinner.
To those of you who like birthday dinners, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Gabrielle: I hope that you have fun at your other dinner. I’m still working on trying to get your Muse back. I’m not giving up!
