Me & My Muse – Day 740: Hitting the DEC in Lansing and another Slurpee

To review, today was pretty eventful.

After waking up and getting ready, I met three Toastmasters District officers in the carpool lot in downtown Midland.  From there, our finance manager drove us down to a library in Lansing for the DEC meeting.  Overall, it was fun meeting and networking with a new team of officers.  It felt strange yet refreshing not having to take copious notes for the District’s meeting minutes.

After the meeting, we returned to the carpool lot. The finance manager let me and the two Trio members out.  It was time for the next part of my day: a date with some taquitos and a medium Slurpee at 7-Eleven.  After leaving downtown, I went directly there. My brother joined me for the feasting and drinking…and the brain freeze that comes when you drink a Slurpee too fast.  Fortunately, I didn’t get one.

After the Slurpee, I went to Tim Horton’s to spend some of my gift card.  I spent half of it on a dozen donuts.  With that, you could say that my trip had a sweet end.

Likewise for this entry.  The high for today is going to be 86 degrees and the silver lining is going to the DEC meeting and getting another slurpee and some donuts.

To those of you who like networking, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Donuts?  Slurpees? Taquitos?  Why wasn’t I invited?  Anyway, I’ll tell him later…
