Me & My Muse – Day 711: Toastmasters for Breakfast

What do you get when you attend a Toastmasters club that meets really early in the morning?  You get Toastmasters for breakfast.  And after visiting Bay City Toastmasters this morning, I would have to say that the meeting was pretty tasty.

The main course was two prepared speeches.  Carrie Rostollan gave a wedding toast that was full of flavor.  All those verbs were a great part of the Toastmasters meal.

The next course was delicious.  Jason Pockrandt delivered a spicy speech about a lion and the king.  The story was palatable and although it was spicy, it cooled on the way down.

For dessert, we had two evaluations, which were both really good.  We washed everything down with a glass of table topics.  All in all, that was Toastmasters for breakfast.  It’s actually pretty good and everyone should try it sometime.

Muse:  If I would be so kind as to interrupt, an entire meeting can’t be a meal.

It certainly can.  A meal for the mind.  The mind is fed differently than the body.

Muse:  What about the soul?

Yes.  The soul, too, needs nourishment.

Muse:  So it looks like you really enjoyed the meeting, huh?

Not so loud!  Your voice sounds like a choir of 10,000.

Muse:  My apologies.  I am actually speaking quieter, but it still seems like it’s too loud for you.  This angelic form hasn’t really been easy to get used to…

Well, I need to get ready for work now.

Muse:  I’ll let you do that.  In the meantime, I will read a book.  Have a wonderful day!

*Muse vanishes into a beam of golden light*

Now that the meeting is over, it is now time to work.  Today, I work a 3 to 10 shift at Little Caesars.  Tomorrow, I work a 9 to 3 opening shift.  After tomorrow, I will be exhausted, but will have the rest of the day to relax.

Today’s high is going to be 69 degrees and the silver lining is visiting the Bay City Toastmasters club.

To those of you who love attending early morning meetings, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  This Intangible form…It limits me far too much.  But I’m not used to the angelic form yet…I am divided between the two.  I need to decide, and soon…
