Me & My Muse – Day 687: Are you Serious?!

I can’t access my outlook.com account, so I spent a little time to compose this for the Microsoft Community Forum:

I can’t access my inbox on my outlook.com account!

Why can’t I access my inbox?  I’m guessing that it has something to do with the stupid new Outlook that Microsoft thinks that everyone needs to have.

Let’s review.  I sign in and I’m on the homepage.  The outlook.com pane says that I have 22 messages in my inbox.  Okay.  I select the pane and click the arrow next to inbox.

Now I see a prompt window showing the “new” Outlook.  “Opening your mailbox”  it says.  NOPE!  It’s not open!  I get a stupid message that says Something went wrong and we can’t sign you in right now. Please try again later.  Are you serious?!!!

Everyone.  Just imagine how you would feel if someone went and chained your mailbox shut.  There’s a bunch of important mail inside and you can’t even see what’s in there.  That’s what Microsoft is doing right now.  Forcing a piece of half-finished vaporware that they call the “new” Outlook on my account, rendering my inbox unviewable.  Why don’t you test it before you have someone like me use it!  Besides, I HATE the new outlook!

For a point of reference, I can access my old msn.com account just fine.  No issues because it’s the old Outlook.  Can you just revert me back to the old Outlook?  I WANT TO ACCESS MY EMAIL!!!!!!!!!

Moral of the story everyone.  If you are going to make a product, make sure that it’s finished before you give it to the consumer.  The inbox is running on a half-finished beta.  I guess the other moral is don’t use outlook when gmail is a million times better.

Today’s high is going to be 83 degrees and the silver lining is seeing Tomorrowland in a little bit with my brother.

To those of you who have an inbox that actually WORKS, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse;  The plan is…

Can it!  No story arc today!  The Director’s Privileges says so!

Muse:  Fine!  It will resume at your request.  Let me know when you are ready.  I’ll be waiting…
