Me & My Muse – Day 631: No More Kyle…

Ghost Muse:  Unfortunately, that is the case.  After getting tired of all his short entries, I decided to get rid of him.  It was a tough decision but I had to do it.

With Kyle gone now, I might as well lose all the dialogue identifiers.  You all know it’s me, Kyle’s Muse in ghost form.  When the 100 days are up, I’ll be able to return to my body again, since it’s evil right now.  Until then, I’ll have plenty of time to create an alibi.  Maybe I don’t need one!  After all, nobody knows that I did it.  And can they really try Intangibles for crimes?  For now, I’ll just stay on the down low.

It’s going to be lonely without Kyle, but it was absolutely necessary.  You too would agree if you had to deal with him all the time.  I mean, do you know how many times he ignores me?  He doesn’t even pay attention to me once!  Well, I need to get over it.  Be a real Intangible (what an oxymoron!).  Just keep my head up and look forward into a brighter future.  One that’s without Kyle… *sniff*

For the weather today,  it will be 46 for a high.  If there’s anything positive to be noted, it’s that Kyle is now gone.

To everyone who has loved him and have gotten to know him,  best wishes to all.

Muse:  Kyle is finally gone?  Good riddance!  I will now eat him and then the world.  The world is mine!  Mwa ha ha ha ha!!!!

Me & My Muse – Day 630: Making More Dough…

That’s about the gist of it.  I work a 2 to 7 dough shift at Little Caesars.  After that, I’ll be headed home, since I work an opening shift tomorrow.  That’s pretty much this day in a nutshell.

Today’s high is going to be 46 degrees and the silver lining is the weather getting warmer.

To those of you who are looking forward to warm Spring weather, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  Making more “dough”?  Ha!  I get it!

Muse:  Such a stupid joke.  It reminds me of how delicious you will taste when I eat you!  Mwa ha ha ha ha…

Me & My Muse – Day 629: Early Sunday Shift

Ugh…I want to finish this already.  For one thing, I like to sleep in on Sundays.  I also like going to church.  The shift that I work this morning is going to take both of those things away from me.

Having woke up early for the third day in a row, I am ready to sleep in, starting tomorrow.

Time to cut to the chase.  Today’s high is going to be 44 degrees and the silver lining is having the rest of Sunday off.

To those of you who actually have to work today, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  *snore*  Kyle…  *snore*

Muse:  *snore*

Me & My Muse – Day 628: Hitting the DEC in Jackson

There’s not going to be much time for me to talk this morning, since I’m leaving in a few minutes for a DEC meeting in Jackson.  I will be meeting at a carpool location in Midland.  From there, I will be carpooling two passengers to the Jackson Holiday Inn for the Pre-Conference Walkthrough. After that, there will be a DEC Meeting at a library.  I will be there all day, so that’s the gist of it.

Today’s high is going to be 37 degrees and the silver lining is conducting more business today is a District officer.

To those of you who like getting up early for business meetings, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  Enjoy Jackson!  Let me know how the conference preview turns out…

Muse:  He’s leaving?  No!  I must go after him!  I can’t let him get away!

Me & My Muse – Day 626: Eyes on the Prize

And for me, that prize is today.  My well-deserved day off.  I will use this day to relax and catch up on my to-do list.  I will also see a movie later.

Today’s high is going to be 42 degrees and the silver lining is having this whole day off.  At the end of the day, there will be a Toastmasters Area speech contest, which shouldn’t be long, due to low participation.

To those of you who love having days off, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  Enjoy your day off!  You earned it!

Muse:  *snore* All according to plan… Mwa ha ha ha ha….

*Muse doubles in size*

Me & My Muse – Day 625: The Golden Light at the End…

After today, I will have worked nine days in a row.  At the end of my shift, I will be eagerly awaited by my reward…a day off.  A day off to recharge and a day off to enjoy.  And that reward is just six hours away, starting at 9:00.

Today’s high is going to be 48 degrees and the silver lining is finally getting a day off after today, and my friend coming over.  It will be fun to watch some Doctor Who and relax after finishing the work gauntlet.

To those of you who are looking forward to the end of their work week, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  A day off at last!  Just six more hours and you’ll have it!  Time for some coffee…

Muse:  *snore*  Mwa ha ha ha ha….

*Muse grows ten times her size*

Me & My Muse – Day 624: Almost There!

Since I’m covering part of someone’s shift this morning, I will be leaving early for my shift today.

With that, I work today and tomorrow.  After that, I will receive my reward.  A much deserved day off.

Today’s high is going to be 40 degrees and the silver lining is being very close to the end of my work streak.

To those of you who long for that vacation day, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  Just one more day!  You can do it!  I know you can…

Muse:  Almost there?  My plan is almost finished.  When it is, I will have quite the feast.  Mwa ha ha…

Me & My Muse – Day 623: Two Days Left…

Until my nine-day work streak is over.  It ends Wednesday.  On Thursday, I will have a day off.

Today’s high is going to be 34 degrees and the silver lining is later, when I finish another day of work.

To those of you who have been very busy, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  Phew!  In just two days, you can finally relax!  Time for a shower…

Muse:  Of course, Kyle won’t be enough.  I will have complete conquest of Earth, and then devour it.  Nothing can stop me.  Heh heh heh heh…!

Me & My Muse – Day 622: Another Busy Sunday…

And another short entry from Yours Truly.

Today’s high is going to be 37 degrees and the silver lining is tonight, when I can relax from today’s shift.

To those of you who have to work on a Sunday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  Have a wonderful Sunday, Kyle!  I’m going to read my book now…

Muse:  The time is not ripe.  I will wait to unveil my plan later.  Mwa ha ha ha ha….

Me & My Muse – Day 621: Nine Hours, Nine Days…

First of all, nine hours.  I work a nine hour shift today.  I will be cleaning the oven, opening and then work a couple of hours after that.

Now for the nine days part. Having looked at my last day that I had off, it was on a Monday.  Having counted all the days, my next day off will not be until next Thursday.  That’s a total of nine days in a row.  Yup.  Part time can be chaotic at times…

Today’s high is going to be 42 degrees and the silver lining is later, when my friend comes over tonight.  It will be Finale Night.  The finale of Season 5 of Doctor Who and the finale of my friend’s Rosalina run on Super Mario 3D World (AKA “Rosathon 2015”).  This will wrap up Super Mario 3D World and he can return to Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

To those of you who go to work on the weekends, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  Good.  She’s sleeping.  I don’t want her to harm Kyle…

Muse:  *snore* Must…eat…Kyle…*snore*

Me & My Muse – Day 620: Spring Fever

Another busy day makes another short entry necessary.

While it is the first day of Spring, I am quite busy.  I work a noon to 8 shift, with County Connection picking me up as early as 10:45.

Today’s high is going to be 54 degrees and the silver lining is having pizza for dinner later.

To those of you who are glad that it’s finally Spring, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  I’m so glad it’s Spring.  Time to get out my gardening supplies…

Meanwhile…

Muse:  Wha…?  That wretched Intangible put a sleep spell on me!  Well, now that I’m awake…I will now begin my plan…kill Kyle and then eat him!  Mwa ha ha ha ha!!!

Remedy (Quietly whispering):  Not if I have anything to do with it, you wicked Muse…

Me & My Muse – Day 618: Corned Beef Leftovers

To sum up last night, the open house was pretty good.

And to summarize today, it’s just going to consist of work and Survivor tonight.

Today’s high is going to be 45 degrees and the silver lining is being able to try the corned beef and cabbage.

To those of you who love leftover corned beef, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  I love corned beef!  I have so much of it that it will last me all the rest of this week!

Me & My Muse – Day 617: Lucky Day

Why is it lucky?  Here’s why.

http://www.examiner.com/images/blog/EXID1827/images/shamrock.jpg

It’s also lucky because I don’t have a lot to say today.  I have a pretty busy day and I need to get started.  I work at Little Caesars and I have a Toastmasters Meeting tonight.

Today’s high is going to be 40 degrees and the silver lining is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.

To those of you who are wearing green, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  Wait!  You’re not wearing green…I’ll let you get a shower first.  I won’t pinch.  I promise!

Me & My Muse – Day 616: Another Sigh of Relief

With this being day two of my two days off, I better enjoy it while it lasts.

I got my hair cut and I have the DEC Meeting Minutes finished.  Later on, my friend will be coming over.  That’s about it.

Today’s high is going to be 65 degrees and the silver lining is having another day off.

To those of you who are enjoying your Monday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  Enjoying this day?  I surely am!  Time to continue reading…

Me & My Muse – Day 615: A Sigh of Relief

With today being Sunday and having the day off, I plan on doing absolutely nothing.  Having worked 20 hours in the past two days, I think that I earned the right to do this.

Besides doing nothing, I plan on seeing Cinderella tonight.  Besides that, that’s all that this entry has to offer.  Another short entry from Yours Truly.  You’re welcome.

Today’s high is going to be 50 degrees and the silver lining is having this Sunday off.

To those of you who are enjoying this day off, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  20 hours in two days?  Enjoy your two days off!  You earned it!

Me & My Muse – Day 614: Easy as Pi

How is today so easy?  It can be expressed in the form of pi.  With today being 3/14, I will be expressing the first 1,000 digits of pi:

And if that isn’t enough, I even have someone singing about it.  Here’s a YTMND of Kate Bush singing π.

Ghost Muse:  To celebrate, I’m baking a pi pie!

Have fun with that.  For me, I’ll just be observing it. Time to get ready….

Ghost Muse:  Time to bake my pi pies.  I’m baking 3.14 of them exactly….

Today is the day for all nerds to celebrate.  At 3:14 p.m., remember to look at your watch! Right when it turns this time, count 15 seconds and you will have pi to 5 places.  For even more nerdiness,  write this time down:  9:26 p.m.  Make sure it’s 53 seconds after that.  Why?  Today is very significant.  It is 3/14/15.  At 9:26:53, that will be TEN digits of pi!  That’s 3.1415(today’s date)92653(9:26:53 PM)  Don’t forget it!  This only happens every hundred years, so savor this moment while it lasts!  I work at Little Caesars today.  I will be closing, so it will be a long day.  To celebrate, I will have three different pies.  The first pie will be a slice of Edward’s Mounds and Coconut Cream pie.  The second pie will be a pizza pie.  At work, I will have a bacon pizza with banana peppers laid out in a π pattern.  The final pie will be my dessert right afterward.  Two dark chocolate Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.  While they’re not technically “pies“, they are pie-shaped.  Having that said, my Pi Day will be celebrated with food.

Today’s high is going to be 47 degrees and the silver lining is celebrating Pi Day.

To those of you who love nerdy holidays, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:

3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399….I love Pi Day!

Me & My Muse – Day 613: Thirteen is Just a Number…

Yeah, it’s Friday the Thirteenth, but that doesn’t bother me.

In about four hours, I will be working a nine hour shift.  I also want to get a head start on the DEC meeting minutes.  For that reason,  this entry will be cut short.

Today’s high is going to be 56 degrees and the silver lining is the delicious Reese’s Big Cups that I’ll be having later on.

To those of you who are not superstitious, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  Friday the 13th?  It’s just a number to me, too!  Yup!

*Ghost Muse embraces a lucky rabbit’s foot and clutches a handful of four leaf clovers, a couple of horseshoes and all the charm bracelets around her arms*

Me & My Muse – Day 612: Calm Before the Storm

In any major storm, there is a calmness that comes before it.  In hurricanes, there is an “eye”, where the weather is completely calm while the devastation is taking place around it.

In the hurricane of my life, I have entered the “eye”.  It is calm, and I am going to enjoy the calmness while it lasts.

Everyone has a hurricane, and everyone experiences their calm moments before the hurricane happens.  Today is my calm moment, and I’m going to savor it.  Tomorrow, I work a 3 to midnight closing shift at Little Caesars.  For the day after that, I work a 3 to 11 closing shift.  This is what makes today so important.  It will prepare me for the next two, so come tomorrow, I will be ready for both shifts.

For today, I met with my networking contact at a local restaurant.  We talked about the future and the arising need to assimilate.  There are three jobs that I need to look at, and for those three jobs, I need to assimilate everything that I have included in my resume.

With the remainder of this day, I will relax, and spend time doing activities that will recharge me for tomorrow.  One thing that I have thought about lately is being content.  Am I content in my current situation?  Relationships are important, but they need to be relationships that matter.  Whether you’re single or married, this is important.  For those who are single, they wish that they could be married.  For those who are married, they wish that they could be single again.  Neither side is content.  But why?

Being single myself, I really wish that someone special would come my way, but why should I be miserable in the meantime?  God doesn’t want this.  Singleness is a gift and being married is a gift.  Whether you’re married or whether you’re single, you need to just go with it.  Accept the situation that you are in and you will be a lot happier as a person.

This is what I have come to realize in the “eye” of my storm.  Misery loves company.  Tell misery that they’re not welcome in your life.  Embrace the lot that you have been given.  Be content with what you have.  What if you didn’t have those things?  Be grateful that you do.  God knows what He is doing and He certainly has a plan.  But He doesn’t want you to grouse in the process.  This has been a struggle for me in the past, but I am slowly learning the importance of this matter.  Good things come to those who wait.  And while waiting, we should be grateful.

Having that said, I will enjoy the calm before the storm.  I will enjoy it while it lasts.  I will also enjoy the energy while it lasts, as this post is the result of six cups of coffee, all drank in different periods throughout the morning and early afternoon.

Ghost Muse:  SIX cups of coffee?  That’s a lot!

Yeah.  I had three at the restaurant while waiting for my contact and another three at home.

Ghost Muse:  You better not do that every day!  Too much caffeine can be dangerous!

I’ll be fine.  Six cups of coffee is not the norm for me.  Two is.

Ghost Muse:  As for the “storm”, good luck.

Thanks.  I think I’ll be fine tomorrow.  I just need today to unwind.

Ghost Muse:  I’m going to continue on my book now.  Enjoy the calm!

And there you go.  A coffee-fueled entry with around 600 words.  You’re welcome.  Time to go watch the episode of Survivor that I missed last night…

Today’s high is going to be 47 degrees and the silver lining is enjoying this calm to the fullest.

To those of you who experiencing the “eyes” of your storm, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Ghost Muse:  I’m glad that he’s starting to be content.  He’ll find the relationships that matter soon enough…
