Do you ever miss those longer entries? The ones reflecting a carefully planned pattern of thought complete with a multitude of insight? If you do, don’t worry. If you’re one that misses those kinds of entries, so do I.
As of late, my recent entries have been nothing more than just rushed posts reflecting very little time or effort. There are a lot of things to say about my busy life. The only problem is that I don’t allow enough time to say it.
I believe that I have mentioned this before, but my goal for this blog is to add value. To provide something of use that you can take away. That’s at least one reason why people leave blogs. There are other reasons why people read blogs and depending on that blog’s function and purpose, that is why they read them.
If I were to be truthful, the reason why I don’t leave longer posts is due to the weightiness of the new work load that I have to manage. Going from 20 hours a week to almost 40 is a big stretch, and with it comes a change in priorities. Now regardless of the priorities, I still want to make it a point to update this daily. It is a daily gift to myself that I want to continue to give to every one of you. It is a balancing act, and one that I will manage in due time.
For today. I will be working a 1 to 5 shift at Little Caesars. It will probably be earlier than that, since County Connection is picking me up at noon with 11:45 a.m. being the earliest. After that, I will be picked up by my brother. We will be going down to the Toastmasters Area 15 & 16 Table Topics and Humorous Speech Contest in Saginaw. That is pretty much this day in a nutshell.
Muse: I have an idea about leaving your entries. For your morning shifts, leave them after you come back. For your later shifts, leave them before you go to work.
That sounds about right, and what I was planning to do anyway.
Muse: If it is, then implement the plan.
I will. Sometimes, it’s hard when you’re learning a new schedule.
Muse: I know that it’s hard. But I also know that you can do it. You just need a little more encouragement, that’s all.
That’s right. As for our discussions, they are still on. We will definitely do a few before this cycle is over.
Muse: Good. I’ll let you get ready. Time for my last cup of coffee!
Getting back to what I was saying, achieving the balance that I long for will happen eventually. And when it does, you will see more consistency and a lot more content.
Today’s high is going to be 56 degrees and the silver lining is tonight’s speech contest.
To those of you who love attending events, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: He’ll achieve that balance very soon. I’m very sure of it!
