Once again, the time has come to say goodbye to summer.
For 2014, what events were the most memorable? What were the most memorable events in the Summer of 2014?
First of all, I had a farewell dinner with Sensational Speakers at The Olive Garden, observed mom’s birthday (mom was at South Dakota), getting a new phone, Jeff’s 31st birthday, seeing America: The Movie, seeing fireworks at the Tridge with Jeff, celebrating one year of Me & My Muse, visiting Wednesday Speakers Circle at Dow Corporate Center, getting promoted to management at Little Caesars, getting a free Slurpee, hanging out with Nathan, listening to Mandatory Fun, cleaning my car and going up north, having orange creeper wings at Sporty’s bar, going to the fairgrounds, visiting DC Talk at Dow Corning Corporate Center, celebrating my 30th birthday, having dinner at Genji with Jeff, Jeff coming over for my birthday, having a Toastmasters meeting at the Tridge, birthday dinner at grandma and grandpa’s, getting a PlayStation 4, playing Mario Kart 8, attending a Toastmasters appreciation meeting at Zach’s house and having Blazin’ wings at Buffalo Wild Wings, unlocking Baby Rosalina, 9/11, watching World Trade Center and celebrating my four-year work anniversary.
With Cold Stone Creamery still gone, I ate a double chocolate Klondike Bar after enjoying a lasagna dinner. That Klondike Bar was gone before I knew it. Summer 2014 was the same way. Gone just like that. As I say goodbye to Summer 2014, I’ll admit that this summer was kind of busy. It was a lot of fun, despite the weather not being the best. There were some hot days but not a lot. With Summer 2015 just 9 months away, what will it bring? Will it even come? Who knows? There is no telling.
Farewell, Summer 2014. You were quite a memorable summer.
Muse: Wonderful reflection!
Thanks. It didn’t take much effort on my part.
Muse: What do you mean? Are you saying that you recycled it?
Shh!
Muse: Well, it’s longer than yesterday at least.
And it’s a good way to end this summer. By reflecting on it. Time to get ready for bed!
Muse: I’ll let you. Good night!
Wasn’t this summer great? Even though it wasn’t great to everyone, it did have its ups and downs.
Today’s high is going to be 63 degrees and the silver lining is having a double chocolate Klondike Bar.
To those of you who had a memorable Summer of 2014, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: I had a memorable summer! I went from shy to more faithful. Time to reflect on these past days…
