It is official. Today is the day that I have been waiting for. Not only do I get a day off, but an opportunity to give my campaign speech at tonight’s Toastmasters meeting. For those of you who don’t know, I am running for Club President. I may win or the other candidate may win. All I can say is may the best candidate win.
At the same time, I am met with an annoying remnant of this cold. There is blockage in my left ear, making it a little harder to hear out of it. Despite this obstacle, I will not let this stop me from practicing.
Ghost Muse: You should really start practicing. You only have four hours left.
I know. I did practice a little yesterday. I just need to tweak it.
Ghost Muse: Good luck. I hope that you get it.
Same here. I need to start practicing for my speech.
Today’s high is going to be 75 degrees and the silver lining is tonight’s Toastmaster’s meeting. I’m a little nervous, but I will do my best.
To those of you who have ever competed for a desirable position, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: I’m so lonely. I wish this stuffed bunny was alive. That way, I could talk to it…
*stuffed bunny comes to life and gasps with fear*
Stuffed Bunny: No! Stay away! You’ll drain my confid…
Muse: But I just want to hold you…You see, I have no friends…
*Stuffed Bunny squirms free and hops out of the room*
Stuffed Bunny: Freedom! Yes!
Muse: It’s hopeless. Even the things I bring to life don’t wanna be my friend. Nobody likes me. Everybody hates me…
*Stuffed Bunny escapes the house as it begins to violently shake*
Muse: What’s going on? It’s probably just me. I’m hopeless…
*Muse begins to sob as the void inside her continues to grow*
