I looked at my calendar today. There are two deadlines that are approaching. One in three weeks and one that will happen next week.
For the one happening next week, I have a stump speech to prepare for. I am running for president of Midland Toastmasters and to ensure the election, I need to make sure this speech is well practiced.
The next deadline is in three weeks, and it pertains to my second Icebreaker that I’ll be presenting to the club. I have a good idea on what I want it to look like. I just need to start practicing it.
With today off, the search continues. I will search, I will hope and I will pray. No matter how many times I do this, I understand that this is all in God’s hands and he has me right where he wants me.
This is different. I am now on a hill. A hill leading down into a vast field. And the field is…I see them! It is full of Muses! Hundreds of them. All of them dancing in a vast field of fabric.
Muses: Tee hee…tee hee…tee hee…tee hee…tee hee…tee hee…tee hee…tee hee…
I hate to break their sing-song chant, but I need to get through this field to rescue the Dark Muse.
*walks down hill and into field, triggering a series of gasps and screams*
Muses: Ahhhh!!!!
*large crowds of Muses begin crying and begin hiding in bushes of fabric*
Whoa…With this many Muses, I’m really starting to feel the tug on my confidence…It’s a good thing i have that barrier. I would’ve lost it a long time ago…
Muses: Eeek!!!!
*more crowds of Muses become invisible and start running*
This field of fear is starting to get annoying. Cries, screams, gasps, whimpering…It’s all too much…
*the screaming, crying and whimpering gets louder and louder*
ENOUGH ALREADY! One of you is more than enough. A whole field of you is more than I can bear. SILENCE! ALL OF YOU!
And they’re…Good. They’re all quiet. It must be the director’s privileges…
It looks like I’m exiting this field. I’ll definitely use that again if I encounter another field of those shy terrors. I still have quite a ways to go, so I better keep walking.
Today’s high is going to be 79 degrees and the silver lining is having the day off to get some work done.
To those of you who like productive days off, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: We love flying around the house all teeny and tiny! Let’s fly around the house again! Tee hee…
