Let’s be honest. I am TIRED of all the snow. I am TIRED of the cold temperatures. But most of all, I’m TIRED of winter!
Just last night, my area got hit with 7 inches of snow. How did I know that it was 7 inches? My brother measured it. He stuck a ruler into the deck and pulled it back out. It was seven inches, which was no easy task.
Knowing the sheer volume of snow that I had to shovel this morning, I woke up at 5:00 a.m. After recording a dream, I got out there at around 5:30. Using the snow plow, I was able to plow the driveway and the back driveway leading to the big garage. After that, the plow started to act up. With a broken spark plug, The engine was beginning to stall and the pistons kept popping. Having the most difficult part done at around 6 in the morning, I still had plenty more to shovel.
I continued shoveling, clearing snow off the sidewalk and the front porch. After that, the back was next. Just as I was finishing the small deck, my brother came out to help. I had him do the big deck while I removed snow from the brick walkway leading from the big deck to the big garage. After finishing the walkway, I began working on the back gravel driveway around the big garage. At that point, my brother was done shoveling the big deck, so he helped me. Not having the luxury of the snow plow, I had to use the large snow shovel (AKA “Yooper Scooper”).
After that, all the snow was shoveled. It only took 3 hours from the time that I started. At 8:30, it was time for breakfast. After breakfast, I made my way to my grandparents to shovel their driveway. I was only halfway done with shoveling snow, but their driveway was the easier half. After a half hour with my brother’s help, their driveway was done.
Altogether, the snow removal for today took 3.5 hours. I am so ready for winter to end and I am sick of shoveling snow.
Muse: So am I. Why did I ever make it snow in the Intangible realm?
What are you talking about? You can remove it easily!
Muse: But I don’t! Since you made those remarks to me that one time, I have always been shoveling it by hand.
Well, the refreshing thing about today is that the snow is all shoveled. I don’t want any more to fall, though.
Muse: Me neither. I am sick of winter!
I now need to prepare for a 2:00 appointment. Can you please leave me to that?
Muse: Certainly. I’ll continue reading. Steamy romance novel, here I come!
The snow is all finished, but the day isn’t yet. I have an appointment at 2:00 and a Toastmasters meeting at 6:30.
Today’s high is going to be 32 degrees and the silver lining is having all that snow shoveled.
To those of you who are tired of shoveling snow. I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: I’m so glad it’s done. Now I can enjoy this book. I can’t wait to see how this turns out….
